Planned Battle Rating Changes (January 2026)

compression is the main perpetrator here. However i do think a fully tricked out sabre (JASDF, F-40, mk6 CL13 and all the others with sidewinders) seeing a gr1 harrier in a full uptier is relatively fair considering their flight performance and harrier gr1 not having flares. both pretty dead if a missile is fired

The thing is the Sabredog is 9.0, while the rest of the Sabres sit at 8.7. hence why I’m asking for the Sabredog to move down to 8.7.

It is fair, in a full uptier. I agree. But the problem is it currently isn’t a full uptier which makes it that extra bit hard, because instead of the most difficult aircraft being a Harrier GR. 1, it’s the F-4C. Which is a huge difference.

I go the T80ud/Be in the crates, i stopped playing because when i had the bmpts on my side all i had to do was hold w and i would simply tank most rounds and so spent half the game repping due to low crew level. Literally took 6 rounds in the side before a team mate killed the guy, just took my autoloader out over and over again. and then i got stomped when facing the bmpt so it just wasnt even fun to play just boring.

The 2s38 is easy to use as its fast enough and its round is very good. Just dont get spotted or shoot first and youll win most engagements.

I disagree with sabredog going down as it becomes an issue of mk4 meteor now having sidewinders on already VERY superior airframes hunting them in uptiers.

with air battles its a case of most vehicles shouldnt go down but most above should move up.

theres obvious outliers such as the venom and vampire being whole BRs too high for what they are but this would work for 90+% of aircraft.

pretty much all full uptier vehicles should become 1.3BR above the previous full downtier BR

Yea valid frustration imo. Even more ironic that the MiG-23 doesn’t even have a CCIP yet people run napalm for a2g.
Even flying the Kfir Canard with the lightest single base bomb load with a far better reward multiplier was impossible when I was having to climb to high altitude with no radar and 2 9Gs and risk getting sparrows to the face just to hit the base.

And you come down slowing from 1.2 and cannot drop your bombs in time trying to outrun them

You see why i chuckled when i saw someone saying for the mig 23 to be moved down lol.

iirc the 11.3 Hawk 200 RDA’s RWR can see J band, not that you really have the kinematic performance to do anything about it though…

Let me notch this missile real quick, oh it has iog and im sub sonic… oh im dead.

Also, watch this “dogfight” miss a target in a headon when fired from 4km because they no longer pull off rail lol.

Yeah lol.

That being said, I honestly think that an opposition to the F-15A/J/Baz being moved down deserves its own thread at some point to make the point clearer. Because while there is a pretty negative sentiment here and everyone agrees it’s an abysmal idea, it may end up getting buried. They need to decompress upwards further, not compensate by dumping the compression the other way.

BMPTs ruin the gameplay, I agree. All you can do is watch another BMPT farm its way to a nuke. It’s boring.

That said, I’m trying to find a solution to make the T-80UD more competitive at 10.7, if it gets moved there anyway. A historically accurate thermal sight would be a good option, but then the question is what to do with the Chinese T-80UD/BE.

In my opinion, the 2S38 is a very situational vehicle. Staying unspotted while fast wheeled vehicles are rushing around the map is not always easy. Correct positioning and avoiding mistakes are extremely critical.

I humbly request you play the Sabredog and then tell me how it’s any more advantageous then the 8.7 Sabres. Because at the end of the day it isn’t. Similar overall speed, worse manueverability, and slightly better armament. Overall a worse plane at the same BR. It absolutely should go down. It’s not better than the MiG-17, which is 8.7, and it sits on par with the G.91 and Cl. 13 Mk. A which also are both 8.7.

The Meteor wouldn’t suffer with this thing being where it is; again, similar speeds to other 8.7 planes (like the Hunter F.1, Cl. 13 Mk 5A, MiG-17) and with worse manueverability but better armament. It makes no difference overall.

I wont get to play them for a long time unless gaijin has a competent thought for once and adds canada to the british tree (I cant bring myself to play with america mains, the average pilot is so trash dude) but it does seem fun.

its doing 0.9 mach at sea level?!?! the CL13 is just a canadair built sabre and the mig-17, well thats russian flight models.

all of those easily kill meteors as its too slow to handle a boom and zoom from anyone. the mk4 rips its own wings off in hard turns too so you always have to hold back a lot.

But thats the same with EVERY light tank, its not unique to the 2s38. The 2s38 can just keep firing and will eventually get a kill due to the decent apfsds it gets and aphe. Let alone its hevt and irst make killing it with cas a challenge other than with guided munitions.

The T80ud/be is a t80ud with thermals, literally the only difference i think. Do i think either should be facing 9.7, not really but thats just me apparently. Its like how the t72b3 is moving down to 11.3 just because the event one is going at 11.0 at gaijin needed a reason to put it that low lol. both could be 11.7.

Im gonna be honest, the sabre dog is worse than the f30 sabres simply due to the fact it requires a bnz playstyle which people just dont know how to utilise. It would basically play like a hunter at 8.7 just with 9bs.

if its an initial production UD (from the first decade) it wont have thermals. Russia only started using thermals on mass in the 90s (most tanks and AFVs in russian service often dont still due to supply limitations)

im not sure why hunter F1 went down considering all the buffs hunters got in preparation for the swiss subtree so thats not helped the case IMO

A4B
8.7- 8.3

A4B is 100% worse than Scimitar at all, suppose anyone believes AGM12 is a good weapon, then Scimitar could take 4 agm12b, and also its speed and firepower are also much better than A4B, If firepower is so important, why 4 * 30mm guns = 2 * 20 guns at 8.7? when A4B takes gun pods, it will become hard to control like a bomber

I dont know, i fucking LOVE my isnotreal a4e. The scimitar is certainly good tho, prob better than the sabredog tbh.
