forgetting 3BM42 is a perfectly serviceable round even into top tier
T-80UD has T-80U armour, which itself is 11.7,
the T-80UD’s mobility, while worse than say the T-80U,
it has better mobility than the Co-BR T-72Bs which also have worse armour, and an identical round and equally no thermals, but a whole second longer reload
and has better mobility than the T-90A, at 11.0, and from my experience in the Bhishma, thats pretty good mobility
the T-80UD is currently at T-72B BR with better armour, better mobility, and better firepower (6s vs 7s reload)
When you join this with the comparisons with the T-80B, its clear it should be a 10.7 tank
In addition i would like to add, that Gen 1 thermals do not add much to the combat capability in a tank, Gen 2s is when it starts to become practically useful

No. The T-90A and UD share the same mobility. UD is also not fast, at all.

The F-2A has the best IR missile in the game atm but lacks HMS unlike the Gripen E.
The Su-30SM suffers from very weak engines unlike the Su-30SM2.
The Gripen E has good thrust, good missiles, amazing maneuverability, a good loadout size and great avionics.
i mean lets be honest, we still have 2A7V and 2A6 sitting at the same BR while 2A6 is strictly worse, so ground needs to be decompressed beyond 12.7. Which should give breather to literally everyone.
as for UD, whenever it will be at 10.3 or 10.7 does not matter for 10.7 matches; max uptier from 11.3 to 11.7 will mean it can see Fuji, Challengers 2s and M1A1 again but thats about it; whereas change in full downtier from 9.3 to 9.7 will actually make tanks like Kpz70/MBT70 playable + any other paper thin 9.3 vehicle found there.

I wouldn’t say 9.3 is unplayable because of UD. But it would make it a better experience.

But to be fair the Fuji is pain to fight
same horsepower, same gearbox, 0.5 ton lighter, it does have better mobility
Having played the Bhishma which is automotively and mass wise identical to the T-90A, it is good mobility
while top speed is on the lower end at that BR, top speed does not matter as much as the acceleration to get there, which as its effectively identical (as you say), if not more (slightly) to the bhishma, I can say its not lacking at all in mobility

I mean last thing I want to see when I crest corner in 9.3 is either Sabra or UD, anything else is…less scary.

After taking a better look and looking at the other nations and everything, you know what? I think I’m starting to slowly agree that t80ud should go up, but I do believe they should at least tweak it a bit. Because after all it is a premium

As far as I am concerned, the 6 sec reload is what finally pushed it over the edge of 10.3 to 10.7.
6 sec reload 3BM42 is really good.

T80UD is quite a nice mobile platform, mind you the T90A is at 11.0 not 10.3.
The comparable T72s at 10.3 aka the T72B or 1989 are substantially worse in the mobility department.
The T90Bishma is 10.7 cause it doesn’t get the damn bm60

Well, to be fair, anything is scary when you do that. UD should be 10.7, but I didn’t encounter many of them in my time playing 9.3, since you have to be fully uptiered and only 4 10.3s can be spawned in the lobby.

at the BR the T80UD actually has a pretty competitive HP/PT compared to say, the T72B, T72AV or T72B 1989

I genuinely don’t know, but T80UD has better armor than the T-80B, but that’s about it; everything else the T-80B just does better or equal.
