I haven’t made any personal remarks. Let’s keep the discussion respectful.
RDF/LT has 668 hp for 13.3 tons, while 2S38 has 500 hp for 21.5 tons - that’s not just a slight difference in mobility.
I’m not talking about armor here; all light tanks lack armor. I’m talking about survivability.
The 2S38 has very poor survivability for reasons I’ve already explained multiple times, so I won’t repeat them.
High penetration alone isn’t an advantage if the vehicle’s lack of survivability prevents it from being used effectively.
Additionally, 57 mm APFSDS has limited post-penetration damage, especially against Western MBTs with spacious internal layouts. Even with good penetration, it often fails to deliver decisive damage.
2S38 is already far from the best at its current BR, yet all discussions suggest raising its BR further.
In my view, pushing a struggling vehicle higher would only make it less playable. A healthier approach is to adjust vehicles that are genuinely underperforming, rather than penalizing those already at the edge of viability.
You hit the nail on the head. There wouldn’t be a need to move them down to a BR where they don’t belong if the planes 0.3 above them weren’t this much better
i still think the other AH-64E Guardians need their DIRCM Removed, China already has the 10ME, The Dutch don’t have the DIRCM, Indonesia don’t have the DIRCM and the JAGM needs a huge buff as their max lock is sub 6 km and with every Ruzzian player getting a Pansir you have like 4 seconds you can search and launch just to get a “Hit”. Besides that getting a “Hit” is lucky now considering if every player can spawn a Pansir they can either shoot the missile down or them dying does a larger effect with how wack the JAGMs seeker is it will just hit the body
Eagle can bring much better IR missiles, while Tomcat is stuck with AIM-9H
Eagle has a noticeably higher thrust-to-weight ratio
Eagle has a higher G limit, meaning it can pull harder for longer
Eagle has 4 times more countermeasures than Tomcat
Eagle can carry GBU-8 while Tomcat carries Zunis and up to 2000lbs dumb bombs
Eagle can carry Napalm without compromising its missile loadouts
Eagle has around 30% more ammo for the M61
Tomcat can carry more sparrows, but their quality in the past few years is questionable
Tomcat can bring AIM-54, meaning it can shoot first from further away, but the A model requires constant TWS updates until the radar turns on otherwise the missile WILL go dumb
Tomcat has nose authority near stall speeds
F-14B vs F-15A
Eagle can still bring better IR missiles, AIM-9M vs AIM-9L
Eagle still has a noticeably higher thrust-to-weight ratio
Eagle still has a higher G limit, meaning it can pull harder for longer
Eagle still carries Napalm without interfering with its A2A weapons
Eagle still has around 30% more ammo for the M61
Tomcat now carries up to 3 times the amount of CMs if you bring 4x BOL pods, although their flares aren’t as effective
Tomcat can bring 4x JDAMs and/or Laser-guided bombs
Tomcat can still carry more sparrows, however AIM-7F and M models are identical in every regard
Tomcat can now bring AIM-54C, which only brings a seeker head improvement
Tomcat still has superior near-stall nose authority
TLDR: F-15A is better and more survivable than F-14A, and I think moving it down to 12.7 is a mistake. If F-14B is gonna stay at 13.0 at least give it AIM-9M as well.
That is not a vehicle issue, it’s a gameplay issue on your end. When you treat a SHORAD as a front line assault tank, you will get expected results. Just like with other IFVs/AFVs not intended for that role.
Furthermore the PUMA is worse than the 2S38…
And now please tell me how well a Bushmaster or other 30mm do against russian armor. Especially in the frontal arc.
Please tell me which other vehicle perform similar/better in its role of tank support/SHORAD.
The 2S38 has seen no changes aside from extra internal modules since it’s addition.
Vehicle: Potez 633 Game Mode: Air RB / Air Realistic BR change: BR 1.7 shall remain ant not reduced to BR 1.3 Reasoning:
In the BR change table you addressed a BR decrease from 1.7 to 1.3.
This makes zero sense if you compare this aircraft with the higher BR versions of the same aircraft and check the number of matches played and kills per match.
As soon as the model has 2 times more matches played than the two other versions together and the KpB ratio is 0,07 (~10 times lower) it is imho obvious that you need to use common sense.
In the latest “Fairplay banlist” you banned a hell of cheaters with bot scripts - a lot of them used exactly this aircraft - that’s why it has abysmally bad stats. So the poor performance was created by bot scripts, not player performance - no need for a lower BR 😎
In addition: These aircraft turn extremely well and are way too fast for an BR 1.3 opponent.
its not hard to trash an AIM-54 if you know its coming
Eagle will beat a Tomcat in close quarters more often than not
F-15A being able to turn harder and accelerate faster while carrying a much better IR missile is something you can’t simply say is a skill issue for F-14A
