Planned Battle Rating Changes (January 2026)

So you want the 5s reload, Gen 2 TVD, M829A1 slinging Abrams turret to face 9.0?. Yes its slow, but proper position and playing of the vehicle negates the hull issue. AMBT may be faster yes, but has a fraction of the armour. Sabra “having more hull armour” is nonsensical because HEATFS and APFSDS will still punch clean through the armour of the vehicle.

Yeah it’s a pain. I really wish it would get a TWS feature to make it easier but idk what the radar is capable of irl.

You do but its basically nothing. Like 10 RP and a couple hundred SL

Not what i meant, removal of 9ps with 9es being their best missile.

2S38 moving to 10.7 is a good start but its still an 11.0+ vehicle

LOL!!!

It’s closest comparable equal, the 2S38, has a faster HEVT shell as well.

3UO8 = 1000m/s
76/62 HE-VT MOM = 910m/s

Why move 2s38 to 10.7 it’s utterly useless at even 10.3

People still crying about 2s38 is hilarious, I regret buying that piece of junk so much

Gepard, XM246, ZA-35 and other SPAA vehicles have killed my T-80UD many times in real matches by aiming at the commander’s hatch - not in a vacuum, but in actual gameplay.

In practice, broken barrels, destroyed breeches, and driver’s hatch penetrations are very common. Also, T-80UD has 3 crew members packed in a confined space close to the ammo rack, compared to 4 crew members in a more spacious Western layout with blow-out panels.

This advantage is partially offset by slow turret traverse speed and limited gun depression. Leopard 2A4 and Abrams not only have competitive reload times, but also much faster turret traverse and significantly better gun depression.

So you admit they dominate most open maps in the game. Abrams and Leopard dominate on open terrain and merely “have trouble” in urban environments. T-80UD is more suited to urban maps, but it does not dominate there either due to slow turret traverse and only average mobility - both critical in close-quarters combat. Additionally, a -4 km/h reverse speed leaves little room for mistakes.

Well-known survivability of Leopards comes largely from their spacious internal layout. Less internal armor density results in fewer lethal fragments after penetration.

That is primarily a BR compression issue. The game already has cases of Cold War vehicles facing WWII ones. This points to a need for broader decompression rather than justification for overtiering specific vehicles.

I am arguing in good faith and focusing on gameplay mechanics, not personal performance or tone. 3BM42 is a strong round, but it does not compensate for the lack of thermals, -4 km/h reverse speed, limited gun depression, and slow turret traverse at 10.7-11.7. Penetration alone does not define competitiveness when situational awareness and positioning are so important.

However, the majority of maps feature rolling terrain, vegetation, and long sightlines, where thermals are a decisive advantage.

M1 Abrams at 10.7 can already face 11.7, but it has thermals, excellent mobility, very fast turret traverse (roughly three times faster), good reverse speed, and strong gun depression - all the tools needed to survive uptiers. T-80UD lacks these tools, which is why the comparison is not equal, especially on open maps.

Overall, strong armor combined with a powerful gun is like a sledgehammer - very effective, but limited in flexibility. Western tanks function more like multitools: thermals, mobility, gun handling, reverse speed, and gun depression allow them to adapt to a much wider range of combat situations.

Raw power is impressive, but versatility wins matches.

thanks bro

True. No survivability, especially due to unmanned turret but with shell in auto-loader, mediocre mobility, standard -5 degrees gun depression which forces to show absolutely unprotected hull often. Also any 9.3 tank can kill 2S38 easily. Its not OP, its even not good.

Leclercs are 2A5/6 equivalents, so no.

You can argue that its not op but calling it not good is just insane

msc should go down again imo

Vehicle: T-44

Gamemode: Ground Realistic

BR Change: 6.7 —> 6.3
the gun has a large spread, and the armor is weak for a tank like this, and it no longer penetrates opponents with a 7.7 BR

You clearly haven’t seen the power of HEAT-FS. The Japanese 6.7 MBT’s can pen it no problem. Also overpressure still works against a Maus and a lot of TT have large HE slingers around this BR or lower.

T-80UD never had thermals, and 3bm46, the production model only uses 3bm42 and 3bm42m

For everyone, who still thinks, that 2S38 is OP on 10.3:
2s38
This is a self-propelled low mobility ammunition rack made of cardboard without any crew protection.

2S38shellinautoloader
Shell in auto-loader makes any return fire fatal to 2S38.

puma
And now look how well protected PUMA is with its legendary indestructible turret.

So we have nothing outstanding except raw high penetration but without the possibility of implementing it properly due to no survivability and not working as it should unmanned turret with huge shell in auto-loader inside. 2S38 requires a lot of luck and a combination of circumstances to do something. Its not OP, its not even great at 10.3.

bring the CV 90 mk 4 to rank 7. It got as a 10.7 vehicle no reason to stay at that rank. And it’s not even good at 10.7 it could easily be 10.3.

maybe just give them aim-9J-1 instead of an early 9P, or just move them to 10.0-10.3

hell no
