Planned Battle Rating Changes (January 2026)

No, look, what I mean is that the APDS-FS should be given its correct penetration; at no point should its Br be increased to 9.3, because if they solve the problem of the Chieftain Mk10, it would end up carrying the L23A1, and being at Br 9.3 it would completely outperform the T-55AM-1 at that same Br 9.3.

so why would they not limit the amount of ammo on the dca belt, if thats the the logic we are using

To be more precise 20 shots per gun. Its really not alot, with alot trigger discipline you get 3 kills max under ideal angles.

No comparison to main belts containing APDS and can be used to kill numerous targets. Like Falcon or DCA.

that i dont know

Vehicle: F-84F Thunderstreak
Gamemode: Air Realistic
BR Change: 8.3 → 8.0
Change: Lower its Battle Rating to 8.0. Additionally, the US variant should be moved from Rank V to Rank VI, and its airspawn should be removed.
Reason: The F-84F is primarily a ground-attack aircraft with notoriously poor flight performance. Its weaponry is limited to six 12.7mm Browning M3 machine guns, offering no advantage against contemporary fighters like the F-86 Sabre or MiG-15. Its current BR of 8.3 is excessively high, placing it against vastly superior aircraft. Therefore, it should be reduced to 8.0. Furthermore, to maintain consistency with other nations’ F-84F variants (which are at Rank VI without airspawn), the US variant should also be moved to Rank VI and have its airspawn removed, or conversely, other nations’ variants should receive the same treatment as the US version to ensure fairness.

L7 APDS is just as good as T-55AM-1’s dart though.
Those two vehicles definitely look like contemporaries to me and should share the same BR.

i do agree its not a lot, but if if they reduced the DCA belt to say 400 rounds total, your only getting about 1/4 of that in APDS

sorry i mean 200 from 400 rounds

Vehicle: Ta152C-3

Game Mode: Air Realistic

BR Change: From 6.3 to 6.0

Reason: This aircraft is extremely difficult to maneuver, making it very hard to gain an advantage against Spitfires and Mustangs.

The DCA would have less total APDS if they reduced the belt size to 200, around 50 total rounds would be APDS

Yep.

For Falcons we have the additional problem that its a single unit prototype which was never adopted by any military. It never fired live rounds. Just practice ammunition as test bed. APDS just had been considered ingame, cause this ammo type was existing for this gun type. It never used it.

For Geps and DCA ADPS was historically used and still is in a certain country.

Maverick As can only really reliable track moving targets within ~3/4km range.
Maverick Bs and Ds are roughly ~5km/ 6km but the vehicles that have them aren’t very scary.

I mean sure.

That’s true, though having 8 on the ready seems enough.
Once they come back or if there are multiple planes then it could be come more tedious, though I think equal in BR SPAA and CAS aircraft should roughly cancel themselves out.
Let me know if you don’t think that should be the case, though.

A luxury that the OSA / Strela may not even get.

You can at the very least prevent two good attack runs with the Tungy with no additional help, which at least inhibits CAS against your team for a couple attempts.

In a theoretical scenario where you have competent teammates with close-range anti-air weapons, I agree that it could be better.
Though that person who tosses AGMs far off probably aren’t going to get many kills anyways considering how slow and easy to intercept mavericks are, let alone how unreliable maverick As are at tracking.

Also that’s where the 2S38’s capabilities comes in, and is exactly why I always thought 10.3 for it was too low despite people claiming its anti-air capabilities to be lackluster.

Once you found someone through air alert, you need to look roughly at their general area and it will then give you an accurate mark.
It’s janky but it works, especially against helicopters hiding behind mountains.

but but but what about the queue time?

Well, there are docs that suggested it would have had an “APIC-T” round, but APDS was never mentioned.

Gaijin could just have added the Falcon without APDS, but sadly we don’t live in that timeline

I can agree with that.

Hey guys, how about you move the base model Flankers down in BR too? they are still sitting at 13.3 in simulator battles and now the base model F-15s are getting lowered even more (from their previous 13.0 BR)
Su-27S, Su-33 and J-11 desperately need to get lowered, they are awefully overtiered, especially with that SPO-15 RWR they get.
Having the F-15A/J at 12.7 at the same BR as the base MiG-29s (9.12/13) it’s completely unfair, either revert the change for the Eagles (they are not struggling at 13.0) or lower the base model Flankers, base Fulcrums and the 29G as well, which is now stuck at a higher BR over a 300% better aircraft, it should be 12.7 too.
Please don’t ignore this call, act to balance the game, don’t leave stuff behind to be forgotten.
Another suggestion might be removing the AIM-9Ms to the Eagles (in favour of AIM-9Ls), it would be much more balanced at 12.7 but having suspension tracking IRCCM missiles like the 9Ms on such an airframe with such avionics is completely busted.

Skill issue

Edit: MASSIVE Skill issue

Maybe I’m overreacting but APDS at 9.0 sounds awful, even with the mobilty, 5s reload, and gun depression of the Turm III.
Sure, it’s effectively just as good as 3BM25, though if they buff 3BM25’s angle pen to ~150mm then it definitely wouldn’t be.

Yak-3 Air RB, 4.3 to 4.7.

Yak-3 sports excellent armanent of Shvak and 2 Berezins, has excellent maneuvrability at every speed, v. good climb, great speed.
It beats every 4.3 plane out there, it may struggle a bit vs Pyrromyrsky if they get into moderwte to slow speed dogfight, but Pyor is waaaay slower, has worse armanent and compresses a lot more, especially when it comes to roll, and XP-55 and Fireball, but both are OP premiums, so there’s that.

Yak-3 (e) should probably be the same BR too.
