Vehicle: J7W1 Shinden
Gamemode: Air Realistic
BR Change: From 6.0 to 5.7
Change: Lower its Battle Rating to 5.7
Reason: The J7W1 suffers from a heavy airframe and poor climb rate. Its primary advantage, the four powerful 30mm Ho-5 cannons, is severely limited by a very low ammunition capacity (only 60 rounds per gun). This combination of poor flight performance and limited firepower makes it extremely difficult for the aircraft to compete against other balanced fighters at its current BR of 6.0, and even at 5.7. A reduction to BR 5.7 would better reflect its actual combat effectiveness.
As someone who mains the DCA I fail to see how the removal of the APDS belt was needed. I understand that people have been wanting to see the falcon move down to 7.7, because it doesn’t have radar. However, the DCA does have radar. The DCA has always struggled as a AA so using it as a IFV was always more fun and useful. I’ve dropped about 30 nukes now with it and its not because its some overpowered vehicle, its rather the opposite as it stands now. The armor is useless making skillful positioning incredibly important, especially since the APDS belt has a limited usability. I’m incredibly disappointed by this decision to remove its APDS belt and am sad so see my main tank made complete irrelevant for the sake of another vehicles balancing.
well uhh its not really a tank, its an a spaa and should be used for killing air targets and not ground target so i see no problem with the removal of the APDS belts.
I probably didn’t explain correctly what I was thinking.
You can notice where is the OSA that fired at you, but getting closer to the battlefield might unveil some surprises you couldn’t account for.
Yes, the thing I was talking about above.
Even TV missiles with 6km of target lock range will make your life really difficult.
Shooting 6 missiles to intercept 4 enemy AGMs isn’t that bad, especially if they aren’t aimed at you.
You also might try to shoot at an actual plane too.
Ammo box is also forcing you to stay static if you want to replenish.
You died either way so it depends.
Forcing someone to come in for a strafe makes him more vulnerable than someone who’ll just toss AGMs from far off.
Being able to intercept things until your inevitable demise is a good participation award though.
How does it know which target to give you information about ?
It looks incredibly janky though.
Vehicle: MB.326K / MB.326B
Gamemode: Air Realistic
BR Change:
- MB.326K: 7.0 → 7.3
- MB.326B: 6.7 → 7.0
Change: Increase Battle Rating as specified above.
Reason: The MB.326 series is a post-war designed single-seat trainer/attack aircraft. In-game, it faces opponents primarily consisting of “end-of-war propellers” like the Spitfire Mk.24, or early post-war jets like the F-80 and F3D at BRs 6.7 to 7.0. The MB.326’s significantly more advanced aerodynamics, flight performance, and overall design allow it to effortlessly outperform these WWII-era aircraft. The K variant, equipped with the modern 30mm DEFA 553 cannons, is even more potent than the B variant which only has 7mm machine guns. Therefore, increasing their BRs is necessary to ensure fairer matchmaking and balance against contemporary and more capable aircraft.
I mean sure, I wouldn’t be opposed to that.
The SEP V1 and all the 12.0 Abrams can be 12.3.
That’s fine by me.
AI - confidently incorrect
Then why does the Gepard have a APDS belt, the same logic applies there.
Thats why I’m strongly advocating for a general BR decrease of most German WW2 tanks.
The glaring lack of playerskill needs to be balanced out. Individual stat based balancing should be exactly about this. Just cause 2 vehicles are identical, they shouldn’t share the same BR. BR adjustmends should definetly consider the players etc.
It was also meant to be a dual purpose
The gepard does have an APDS belt, but its only 40 rounds which at best would get you like 2 or 3 kills
No, look, what I mean is that the APDS-FS should be given its correct penetration; at no point should its Br be increased to 9.3, because if they solve the problem of the Chieftain Mk10, it would end up carrying the L23A1, and being at Br 9.3 it would completely outperform the T-55AM-1 at that same Br 9.3.
so why would they not limit the amount of ammo on the dca belt, if thats the the logic we are using
To be more precise 20 shots per gun. Its really not alot, with alot trigger discipline you get 3 kills max under ideal angles.
No comparison to main belts containing APDS and can be used to kill numerous targets. Like Falcon or DCA.
that i dont know
Vehicle: F-84F Thunderstreak
Gamemode: Air Realistic
BR Change: 8.3 → 8.0
Change: Lower its Battle Rating to 8.0. Additionally, the US variant should be moved from Rank V to Rank VI, and its airspawn should be removed.
Reason: The F-84F is primarily a ground-attack aircraft with notoriously poor flight performance. Its weaponry is limited to six 12.7mm Browning M3 machine guns, offering no advantage against contemporary fighters like the F-86 Sabre or MiG-15. Its current BR of 8.3 is excessively high, placing it against vastly superior aircraft. Therefore, it should be reduced to 8.0. Furthermore, to maintain consistency with other nations’ F-84F variants (which are at Rank VI without airspawn), the US variant should also be moved to Rank VI and have its airspawn removed, or conversely, other nations’ variants should receive the same treatment as the US version to ensure fairness.
L7 APDS is just as good as T-55AM-1’s dart though.
Those two vehicles definitely look like contemporaries to me and should share the same BR.
i do agree its not a lot, but if if they reduced the DCA belt to say 400 rounds total, your only getting about 1/4 of that in APDS
sorry i mean 200 from 400 rounds
Vehicle: Ta152C-3
Game Mode: Air Realistic
BR Change: From 6.3 to 6.0
Reason: This aircraft is extremely difficult to maneuver, making it very hard to gain an advantage against Spitfires and Mustangs.
