Planned Battle Rating Changes (January 2026)

Maybe include a reason?

  1. 2s6s missiles suck, they are very easy to over g

  2. Pansir has the range but Ito-90 has everything else.

  3. Quit complaining about Russia, they’re easy to evade unlike the German top tier spaa

9Ms to combat the very dangerous mig29 armed with r60ms, the american whining from 3 years ago became a reality gg

man has clearly never tried to use an aircraft in the vicinity of one.

Conveniently forgot the gun, the ItO doesn’t have one of those.

The Pantsir also has the superior radar arcs to my knowledge.

1) “2S6 missiles suck, they are very easy to over-G”

This is only true in isolation and ignores the complete weapon system:

  • Yes, the 2S6 missiles have relatively low G-limits, but this is intentionally offset by:
    • Very high missile velocity
    • Continuous guidance
    • Extremely short time-to-target at typical CAS distances
  • Most CAS aircraft at BR 10.7–11.0 cannot sustain hard defensive maneuvers while:
    • Carrying guided ordnance
    • Flying attack profiles
    • Staying within weapon employment parameters

More importantly:

  • The missiles are not the primary kill tool at short and medium range.
  • The 4×30 mm cannons:
    • Kill aircraft faster than most proximity-fused SAMs
    • Are highly effective against helicopters, drones, and low-flying jets
    • Can destroy aircraft even after a missile forces an evasive maneuver

Over-G’ing a missile does not matter much when the target immediately enters a dense 30 mm fire envelope. That combined pressure is exactly why the 2S6 overperforms at 10.7.

2) “Pantsir has the range but ITO-90 has everything else”

This is factually incorrect.

What the Pantsir-S1 has that the ITO-90 does not:

  • ~8–9 km greater effective engagement range
  • Much higher missile velocity, reducing reaction time
  • Superior radar tracking stability, especially against:
    • Fast jets
    • Guided bombs
    • Stand-off munitions

The range difference alone is decisive:

  • Pantsir can engage aircraft before they reach weapon release altitude
  • ITO-90 often has to wait until after ordnance deployment
  • That is not a small advantage—it fundamentally changes CAS survivability

Additionally:

  • Pantsir’s radar is far more forgiving in cluttered environments
  • It maintains lock more reliably during evasive maneuvers
  • It performs missile and bomb interception more consistently

So no, the ITO-90 does not “have everything else.” It is simply out-ranged and out-controlled.

3) “Russia is easy to evade unlike German top tier SPAA”

This argument conflates player mistakes with system capability:

  • German top-tier SPAA punishes low-skill, straight-line CAS
  • Russian top-tier SPAA punishes all CAS, including:
    • High-altitude stand-off attacks
    • Pre-emptive bomb lofting
    • Post-release evasive maneuvers

Being “easy to evade” only applies if:

  • The SPAA operator reacts late
  • The aircraft already has altitude, speed, and spacing
  • The Pantsir is played incorrectly

At equal player skill, Pantsir denies airspace earlier and more completely than any other SPAA at the same BR.

2S6’s missile turns into a slug after 5km.

Lmao I have flown F-4 earlys around 2s6 AAMs.

Also if you die to guns from either you put yourself too close.

The high g aams act like guns

Vehicle:IJN Isuzu
Gamemode: Naval Realistic
BR Change: 4.7 -----> 4.3
Reason: Lack of AP shells

Vehicle:VLT-1
Gamemode: Naval Realistic
BR Change: 3.3 -----> 3.0
Reason: Lacks secondary fire power

Vehicle:USS Sommers,USS Davis
Gamemode: Naval Realistic
BR Change: 5.3 -----> 5.0
Reason: Oversized ammo racks makes the entire ship actually very fragile, despite the high firing rate

Yes for format and translation.

Vehicle: SMS Elbing
Gamemode: Naval Realistic
BR Change: 4.7 -----> 4.3
Reason: Despite it has 150mm cannons, it actually only has 4 of them on each side. Additional, it has almost no armour, making it extremely vulnerable to destroyers. 4.3 is a more reasonable BR for it at this time

Vehicle:IJN Agano
Gamemode: Naval Realistic
BR Change: 5.3 -----> 5.0
Reason: Penetration still too low

Now that’s an out right lie, damn thing nearly gave me a seizure last time I tried to use it due to its target switching, did you just AI a summery of the IRL Pantsir?

Ai isn’t allowed on the forums you know

@Forum Moderators

I’m not talking about dying to them, shockingly you can use guns for other things, like, oh I don’t know, shooting vehicles, destroying incoming munitions. Kinda handy not to have to waste a missile on that.

“F-4 early” encompasses a lot of vehicles, mind telling me exactly which one?

No idea what you’re getting at with that last one.

As does every other SAM, standfast the ones running Stinger, or OSA (which is compensated for by being rather slow and having a massive big white smoke trail broadcasting your position when you fire)

Gonna hard pass on that take.

probably the only thing we’re currently agreeing on (that AI formatting is violent to my eyes)
