Planned Battle Rating Changes (January 2026)

12.7 and 13.0 have quite different matchmakers for some reason. 13.0 is constant uptiers, but 12.7 faces ARH a lot less often. It would be a worthwhile change for the aircraft to go to 12.7, whether gaijin does it with or without 9Ms. (Ofc it would stomp some things if it keeps them)

Gaijin needs to stop letting Vietnam era vehicles to see World War II vehicles when they are far too potent, especially when it comes to killing aircraft and tanks. M163 has higher rates of fire than even things like the zsu-23-4

Reason:
I’m completely onboard nerfing the capabilities of SPAAs in terms of their anti tank capabilities, but if you do so then you need to balance their BR around their AA capabilities. The AMX-30 DCA is worse than any of the 8.3 SPAA due to its terrible radar, and the Falcon straight up doesn’t have one.

That’s thing is just absurd and has no business staying the way it currently is. With HESH you essentially don’t really have to aim for anything to one shot enemy vehicles, and even if you mess up you reload so fast that you’re guaranteed to get another shot out before the enemy can react.
Autoloader replenishment time should get a massive nerf given how complex it would be to load 155mm shells in such a cramped space, especially considering the shells and charges are separate. Removing HESH altogether might also be necessary considering how little skill it take to use and how toxic a combo it makes when coupled with the insane RoF.

They don’t need to.

“Perfectly capable survivability” while being one of the weakest/softest MBTs out there post-turret basket nerf. If we want to remove that obvious nerf, then moving them is more justified. But as is, they do not need to go up.

gaijin 15 months ago logic: “Hurr Python 40 G must be good as IRCCM missile, 12.7”
gaijin 3 months ago: “35G magic 2’s and 9m’s on F-16, put it at the same BR” awesome work
crazy how much they overvalue python 3’s like they do anything different to a 9L with no IRCCM
and then forget about it months later and just powercreep it with actual IRCCM missiles instead

I have to agree with this. They do not need APHE/APDS rounds.

corrcet, should be 12.3, similar to chinese MBT battle ratings and leo 2PL with top tier round.
leaving space for QoL in top BR, functionally M1 HC and M1A2 play the same as their 12.7 counterparts

Not 100% sure why they blanket gave them TT round either, they were .3 below top before changes btw.

Personally I’m all in favor to make these SPAAs actual SPAAs instead of TDs cosplaying as SPAAs by removing their AP belts and balancing their BR around that, but whatever. What’s certain is that the AMX-30 DCA is worse than every Gepard-like SPAA due to its awful radar so it sure as hell shouldn’t be above them now that the one element that caused the DCA to be above the other has been removed.

You absolutely can and gaijin absolutely does. Simple example that comes to mind is the Mephisto being limited to HOT-1 and HOT-2 when it’s also able to fire the HOT-3.
Besides, game balance > being historical. Gaijin does this in multiple ways, like nerfing the performance of certain missiles that would be too good if added with their IRL stats in the current state of the game.

They still grossly overperform. You need to stop using kid gloves when balancing them.
For starter: Their ammo belts are internal. That’s a literal physical fact, you need to accept it. And if hitting the ammo of vehicles with similar layout as it results in them getting destroyed (like the Marder, AMX-10P, etc…), then so should the BMPT. Simple as. Either that or change the mechanic for those other vehicles as well.

Also, where the hell is its turret basket?

Asking gaijin to add turret baskets to russian tanks is like asking them to fix anything to do with naval. itll never happen, the autoloader should disable traverse on russian tanks but you just know they wont add it lol.

i agree this is totally unjustified, it does not deserve to see the t-80ud which has 11.7 armor
