Planned Battle Rating changes for the month of October

The normal type 16 shouldn’t move at all beacouse there is litelary no line up at 9.7

So, my 2 cents about this round of BR changes:
Ground
German tanks increase in BR: Good change
Tiger II P and H on the same BR: H to 7.0 probably
IS 3 as a consequence to 7.3
IS 2 changes: I dont like them, they were fine as they were
Char 25t and Amx 50 finally getting their real reload is also nice
Vidar: Needs to sit at 8.3 or even 8.7 with its kit
RCV: Can be put at 9.0 but doesnt need to. Maybe give it the stab back
ZTZ59D1: The tank has no business being at 8.3 especially with the old T69IIG reload
ZTZ88A: Even though I dont like it going up its probably needed. Maybe give it its TVD that it had IRL
ZTZ88B: Should stay at 8.7 to bridge the gap
M60 TTS (China tree): Remove the TVD and put it on 8.7 its just straight up bad
VBCI-2: Dont like the change as its rips out a much needed light tank of the french main lineups and it doesnt seem to overperform to me
Turms and 2S38 still at 10.0. They need to be at 10.3 maybe even the BMP2M
Air
SPS-K against a <10.0 BR with R60 could be brutal
SU25BM: Straight up nogo to let 10.0s fight against R-73 missiles
US F5E needs to go up to 11.0 again it dominated whole lobbies F5C could also go up to 10.7
Harrier GR1 flares and chaff when

Heli
KA 50 to 11.3
Mi24 also need to go one BR jump up
Only change I dont agree is the Z9WA with its 4km missiles

Ability to create lineups shouldn’t be a deciding factor for balance. If a vehicle is performing too strong it should move up. It should be left in a too strong position because otherwise it couldn’t form a lineup.

Real tanks, that can be driven still, should be what the game bases all driving characteristics off of, then fills in the rest based on real handling. The T-54 especially should be exact with how many were made and relative ease of access to drive one

T-114 - 7.7 to 6.7

No reason this should face 8.7 vehicles. If the Vidar is 7.7 and now only 8.0 the T-114 needs to go back down to 6.7 where it started. The T-114 has no stab, no laser range finder, no zoom etc. It doesnt belong in 7.7. Vidar has all those things and is 7.7 currently.

T-114 needs to go down in tier.

No the vidar needs to go up the t114 doesnt need to go down
The ush has no stab nor lr and sits at 8.0. The t114 is fine where it is

Vidar is only going to 8.0, it has modern technology + proxy fuse.

No reason the T-114 needs to be at 7.7 along side it. A .3 difference doesnt justify laser range finder, zoom, proxy fuse etc. T-114 needs to go down.

The vidar needs to be 8.3 which in time it will like I said the USH is 8.0 so the t114 is fine where it is

thats my boy

T-114 needs to be 7.3 at least. No reason in being 7.7

6.7 is where it belongs.

The M26 was arguably a 6.0 tank, but at 6.3. Now it’s going to 6.7? It’'s completely ludicrous!

After this change, why would you ever want to play the regular M26 when there’s 3 other M26 models at 6.7 which are better in every meaningful way?

It doesn’t have the armor or penetration to compete at 6.3, let alone 6.7. Compared to other mediums like Panther, you quickly see how over-tiered this thing is.

What are you on about the t114 shouldnt fight late war tanks regurarly? Its fine where it is.

RU light tank is 7.3 still, so the T-114 should at least be 7.3.

It belongs in 6.7 though. Everyone knows it. Everyone talks about it all the time. Its the most talked about thing. T-114 to 6.7. Everyone says that.

I think youre the only one who talks about the t114 if you look around and look at other HEAT rocket firing light tanks you will realize they are all atleast 7.7-8.0 so for the love of good please stop making stuff up

The T-114 is the greatest tank but its treated so very poorly. So badly. very bad. I just want it to be in its rightful tier (6.7) where it can shine. So golden. Like the sun. So very bright. The T-114 is the best of US tanks, but again its treated so very poorly by nasty people like you.

Please make T-114 6.7 so it can be fun again. Thank you gaijin overlords.

Whatever you are smoking… I want some :)

You mistake me. There is a reason why I think Germany and USSR shouldn’t get stuff for a few updates. The minors, especially Japan but Britain too, are in dire need of more content. Hell, the British tree is basically unfinished, which boggles my mind.

I would ask you to engage with what I actually say, rather than with a preconceived stereotype of what I must be like as a “German main”… this is not about being cursed with too many options. Maybe you missed the part where I said that I don’t think the M26 should go to 6.7 because

I’m applying the same logic to both trees, how is that “German main” behaviour? God, I really wish people in this community were less abrasive rather than turn everything into a sarcasm contest.

Look, the logic for me is this. The only reason to have a vehicle in WT is so that people will play it, otherwise it’s a literal waste to have it. So, putting a vehicle at a BR where it will never be used seems like a wasteful move to me, and is a problem that the M26 would definitely have at 6.7. I think the Tiger II P would, too, because I can’t imagine it ever being my preferred option, though that’s just my impression and I might well be wrong.

If you disagree with that logic, that’s fine. But it’s got nothing to do with the dearth of content in the minors, or with being a German main.

EDIT: this guy said it even more concisely:

The T-44 at least has an absurdly strong upper front plate for it’s BR, that is in-penetrable even by the long 88mm of the Tiger II. The only real weak-spot (the turret cheeks) can easily be protected by moving slightly, wiggling the turret, or covering it with bushes.

The M26’s armor however is not as dependable, as it’s cast rounded shape is irregular. It can withstand 88mm from Tiger I fairly consistently, sometimes bounce long 75mm from Panther if you’re lucky, but very rarely (if ever) bounce long 88mm from Tiger II.

The M26 will be eclipsed at 6.7 by it’s much stronger variants, such as the T26E5 (M26 but with very strong armor, essentially a M26 Jumbo), T26E1 (M26 with much better gun), T26E1-1 (T26E1 with added armor). When the regular M26 moves up to 6.7, why would you ever play it again?

It’s also impenetrable by the JT’s 128mm APHE, unless it’s completely unangled or you happen to sit higher than the T-44 (therefore reducing the effective angle at impact). But there is another weakspot actually, it’s the lower front plate. That’s usually pretty reliable for me.

That said yeah, great combo of armour and speed, which means that it needs to be at a BR where its gun is not that great, otherwise it would be a star at all three major performance criteria. Not for nothing the T-44-100 is incredibly good.

I can do nothing but laugh at this. Is there russian bias in this game? Yes. But your pointing to the areas where russian bias is not as prevelant. And. Please. Stop. With. The. Damn. T114.
