Planned Battle Rating changes for the month of October

I hope gaijin change Tornado BR, current BR too high for that plane.

here is the front vs DM13 APDS, which honestly, I don’t think its too bad for what it is. a badly placed shot does bounce here and there. any shots to the middle and left LFP tend to only hit a fuel tank, too. maybe my bar for “decent armour” is just alot lower than yours, since I try to not get shot at in the first place. sometimes its enough if the enemy has to aim for half a second longer because you can lolpen them anywhere and they dont wanna risk bouncing at the outer half of your turret or UFP.

Compared to the M60A3 that you claimed to be better armoured, the sheer size of the turret gives alot more area to pen and disable, and the angles take longer towards the sides to be steep enough to bounce even DM13. Together with the penable UFP, horrible mobility and the fact this is a 9.0 tank, I think ZTZ88s would be fine at 9.0.

Why isn’t the Object 279 going up? It needed to be 9.0 before the last set of changed and decompression, which it should have gone up with that group as well to 9.3 and that was before it’s only weak spot was removed.

J7e and J8b should get pl8s since not only they are actually the main armament in reality but also fighting beyond 11.0 with no all aspect missile sucks, consider they only carry four missiles, they should get pl8s. Also you can just compare to something like mig21bis at same br with 6 all aspect missiles.

So the Type 69 II G and both Type 88s are moving from 8.7 to 9.0, but the T-55AM-1, T-55AMD-1, and T-55M are not? Why is it that only the Chinese modernized T-54 variants moving up in BR?

I’m not trying to be rhetorical, I am genuinely perplexed at this decision.

Thank god I grinded the US 6.7 line up with the T14 and M4A1 (76) W. 4.7 US is officially useless now with the T55E1 not even available to get.

I mean, 4.7 wasn’t even much better before with only two tanks at 4.7; now it’s only one. Thank god the KV85 was moved. The T14 only has armour in terms of strengths, but the KV85 easily pens it in the hull, so it becomes pretty much useless having a weak gun, no mobility, and, because of the KV85, no armour. (Remember, the turret is trolly, but a T34 has no trouble with it, especially since bushes are just for cosmetics now.)

Half of the games I played in the T14 and M4A1 (76)W were up tiers, so I mostly didn’t bother playing. The T14 was simply useless; the M4A1 76 had sub-par mobility like the tiger, a gun that could only be used on flanks, while every other tank could pen you. Even angled for troll bounces, the glaring weak spots on your frontal sides didn’t help.

USSR 4.7 and below will just overwhelm anything below, fully curb stomping with the only reliable US gun, good enough armour, and “ok” mobility gone. The T34 57 had no problem penning the front of an M4A1 btw. The only reason the M4A1 is seen as “OP” is because of the fact that USSR players are too confident with their armour, so they push thinking they are invincible (similar to tiger players, surprisingly). But now, with the M4A1 facing constant up tiers after this possible change, USSR 3.7-4.7 is practically invincible. If they die, they have 4 more tanks to spawn in. When the US has only 1 premium.

The M4A1 76 was the only thing balancing USSR 4.7 and below.

Okay, I’m going to be kinda odd in my wording since my sleep schedule’s been all over the place, but I wanted to have my voice heard regardless on these proposed changes since there’s a set in specific that really confuse me.

Primarily, my concern lies with the proposed changes for Ground Forces that start with the Tiger E and end with the M26A1. Admittedly, it also starts with confusion. While I understand the demand from others for some of these BR changes related to the tanks in the specified section, I can’t in good faith agree with them. The Panthers and Tiger E/Heavy Tank No. 6 seeing 6.0 would effectively completely destroy any reason to play them for German players thanks to the simple fact that it’d put them in reach of vehicles that they would effective have no hope of taking on in your average match and engagement, namely tanks like the IS-3, T29, and T95s.

Additionally, I have some concern for the entire purpose for the rest of the BR changes in the specified section from earlier. More accurately, I can’t find one. Was it not so long ago that we had a major BR shift with many Cold War tanks going up in BR to give this very BR section, along with things hanging close above, breathing room? Why increase them now all of a sudden? It feels completely and utterly arbitrary, especially with tanks like the IS-2 series, the Tiger II P, the M26s, and the Ratel 90 now suddenly seeing changes that are entirely unnecessary. Perhaps if one is to increase the BR changes for the late-war IS-2s at the very least, perhaps it might be high time to return their post-war rounds to them to give them a chance, but as a US main that frequently plays this BR range, even this would feel like too little-- too late.

I understand that my opinion might be lost in the sea of other replies, but I seriously hope you reconsider and ultimately reverse this specific set of BR changes. Many of these vehicles are just fine sitting where they’re at right now. Pushing them up further would only ruin the stability and enjoyment of a part of the game that is arguably one of the best, even as an admitted US main who especially enjoys driving their M26.

Please reconsider the proposal to increase the BRs of the Tiger E through M26A1 as listed in your document.

Panther D 5.3-> 5.7 200mm pen and armor…
IS-2 should stay on 6.0 omg really this tank is not op
IS-2 1944 should stay at 6.3, 6.7 is totally nonsense.
Tiger 2H should be moved to 7.0 armor, penetration and fast reload…
M26’s should stay at 6.3 really this tank is a little better panther…
Type 16 prototype and fps should stay at 9.0 they are weaker than centauro, centauro have dm23
Centurion mk. 2 on 6.7 only if Tiger 2H moves on 7.0
Generally you have T29 and Tiger 2h, T29 have much more weak spots and has slower rate of fire than Tiger 2H and T29 has higher br…
Generally, it would be good for you to think a bit gaijin, because you will spoil some lineups such as of40, of40 mtca and centauro on 9.0…

The M4(76)s ability to tank all HE below 120mm and aircraft cannons below 25mm isn’t a meaningful advantage in armor?

Aim lower to the lower glaices on your right and you one shot most of the crew. Against apds its effectiveness sure but Against heat and apsfds its a different story and while armor is to be used as a last resort it matters with brawling. The issue is most of the maps focus around that so ehile those smaller holes matter at rand close up its a different story.

Thing with the m60 is while it has a easier time being penned you’ll at least have two crew survive most of the time. Which is a big deal since it allows you to escape as its more of a ambush camper mbt least they way i play it. As well I always thought the m60a3 going up was dumb i actually thought it was perfectly fine at 8.7

They cashed out by doing the T-69 II G sale literally not even a week ago.

Time to nerf it!!

Boggles the mind this company. Why bother playing any nation other than USA/USSR/Germany.

i just buy t-69-2g now he in 9.0 but t55am in 8.7 that is unfair
you can let 88a 88b in 9.0 that is ture
but 69-2g in 9.0 is bad change

The holes dont matter too much because they are at specific tiny spots and even an autocannon has to aim there first, while the ZTZ88 can just blast any IFV third person center mass.

I don’t have any trouble oneshotting M60A3s from the front, so I kinda doubt they survive on 2 crew much better than ZTZ88s.

The real tragedy was the chinese M60A3 TTS going up to 9.0, because it is stuck with M735 (at tier 4 too), which is the american M60A3’s tier one holdover dart until it gets M774, which is leagues better… the chinese one should honestly drop back to 8.7 with these BR changes

You literally forget that BR above the current 9.7 BR is missile meta.

No matter how much worse engine thrust the SPS-K with R-13M and R-60 have, those missiles are an “I win” button for aircraft without flares unlike the MiG-21S R-3S/R-3R.

And when compared to other flareless jets currently sitting at 10.0BR or 10.3BR like the Mirage IIICJ and Nesher, the SPS-K at 10.0BR is pretty decent and moving it to 9.7BR is very unacceptable.

any possibility of the Yak-28B from 10.7 to 10.3 or 10.0

the Yak-28B underperforms severely at its current arcade battle rating. The Yak-28B is inferior to most aircraft in both battle rating range and role-wise. Most aircraft by br 10.7 would normally be able to better performers in the game while the Yak-28B remains unable to contribute much to the team especially in 7 players in a team. The low payload capacity, the low speed and low manueverability along with low climb rate ( by 10.7 standards ) and weak defensive ability ( only having flares and a single 23mm nr-23 gun for defense.

comparable aircraft by battle rating and role at 10.7 is the F-105D thunderchief. The F-105D thunderchief can carry larger payload capacity of bombs, allowing it sucessfully destroy one base in one attack run while the Yak-28B requires 3 or 4 attack runs to destroy one base.

comparable aircraft by performance is the Su-7B and Su-7BKL. The Su-7 (all variants) can carry similar or slightly better payload while being faster, better offensive / defensive weaponry and better manueverability though the lack of flares is the only main downside. In most aspects, the Su-7 and its variants are superior than the Yak-28B.

In the case of T-55AM-1 & T-55AMD-1 their ammo is bad compared to the others.
T-55M you have a good point with, as that’s superior to T-55AM1.

Also all 10 nations are good, USSR is my least favorite partially cause their ammo is difficult to deal with.

KV-1E/B, M4A2, etc are all staying the same BR for now.
I doubt we’ll see them go up this time.

I’ll take the loss on the VIDAR as I don’t think Gaijin will put it lower than 8.0, I just think in a few months, when everyone is done playing with the new shiny, it won’t be so abundant.

Other way : giving it back BR-471D post APHE just like in the past at 6.7 BR
