Arring at the same time than a t80 is still better than arriving after a t80… also what does the merkava does brtter than a leclerc aside of the penetration?

While it is like a bunker that drives around, and have a gun that can do decent amount of damage for a solid shot. Its armour just doesn’t hold up at the current BR it have. It have multiple weakspots that are impossible to cover all at the same time.

Well yes, that’s what it was designed for, protection over mobility. Even though protection might not be excellent it’s still better.
but comparing these tanks aren’t really useful since they are very different so let’s take something else.
Leclerc can flank yes, but why would I pick one over a Type 90 for example ?

Extremely power full TD, it is near impervious from the front, and it have very good mobility. Combined with a cannon you nearly do not need to aim, it slaughters new players. You can litteraly turn you brain off and still easily dominate.

Larger and has spall liner (at least i think ?) so shell can sometimes go right through
Merkava protection might as well not exist lol, it’s that easy to penetrate and kill just like the Leclerc.
The Merkava is only better in terms of reverse speed and penetration. The Leclerc is smaller, considerably more mobile going forward and has better gun angles

Ground RB, 2S38 10.3 → 11.7 The 2S38 is incredibly broken at it’s BR. Not only is it inaccurate to have a very modern vehicle fighting 1980’s MBT’s, it’s weaponry at it’s br makes it more powerful than anything it faces at it’s BR. Please move it up in BR.

It is a T95 at 6.3, it should be a lot closer in BR to quite litteraly the same tank. While i have no experince in either vehicle, it makes no sense why there is such a big difference in BR between the two vehicles.

It isnt really better… even with the f1 you can lol pen it everywhere, the only “good” thing about the protection is that the crew sits relatively low comprared to the gun barrel, but the armor itself is dogshit
That’s why i’m saying that this argument is going nowhere since they have very different gameplays.
The Type 90 is a better comparison
The Ags should get m900 if it moves up. Or it should stay at its current br

Yeah and that playstyle means that the Leclerc fits better in the meta than the Merkava.
Would be if the penetration was better though. You have a hard time penetrating a lot of things while they just have to look in your general direction to kill you

I literally play the ariete and its better.
If whataboutism is going to be used, leclercs, ZTZ99A and its variants as well as the CR2 are the worst few.

Pave spike is used to designate laser GBU,it can’t be useless
Datalink pod is used in real life because Martel is a man-in-loop weapon and datalink is needed to communicate between missile and plane.Gaijin wrongly made it a maverick-like in game, so why the pod is needed. AN/AXQ-14 pod isn’t on F-111 or A-7, why buccaneer?
We don’t know yet. However looks like Warrior is also getting it changed.

It is actually deceivingly well armored for its BR, and at the same time it have a gun that can easily one shot enemy targets. While it can be overpressured, there is not a lot of people who are carrying HE at the BR it is at, and hitting the front of the hull with HE will not kill the gun crew.
You need a separate comment for each vehicle or it will not be considered
The Merkava only has like 20mm more pen, is a bigger target with just as little armor.
The Leclerc has a lot more going for it in the current meta.
