Planned Battle Rating changes for January 2024

Please allow to repeat this eamil.
As a France tank player,I am very very very confused about the new plan of moving these tanks’ br ,including SOUMA,AMX,Char and etc,from 7.7 up to 8.0,it is totally incomprehensible and unbearable for us France tank players.
Not to mention their relatively weak Armor and APC cannonball when they are confronted with tanks like t55,bmp2 or TAM directly,if so,the originally characteristic Autoloader in the same br is just like a JOKE and the absence of Stabilizer makes them even harder to fight back in encountering combats.In other words,new br means that there would be no difference between the originally most intersting and characteristic France tanks and useless rubbish.With the lower earnings and higher cost of repairment,France tanks’ environment is worse and worse.I suggest You had better Cancel,Cease,Delete all the France Tanks early so that there would not be no France tank players in the game one day.

Sooooooo, the Type81C is gonna be 11.0, (doesnt make sense that its gonna be higher than the 2S6) meanwhile the strela is only gonna be 9.7?
and what about the most OP vehicles at 10.0? The bmp2m and the 2s38, they need to be 11.0, not 10.0

and then the french getting pushed closer into the apfsds and stabilizer br, which doesnt make sense at al…

but, 1 positive thing is the 12.7 push up, im happy with that.

Gaijin needs to think more and use there player base instead of numbers.
im gonna say it: Quit with the russian bias, and the nerfing of small countries.

MiG-29G should also be moved to 12.7, not only the SMT.

The F-14B, F-16A and MiG-29A should go to 12.3. 11.3 planes need some breathing space.

While i made some suggestions to BR changes, i didn’t really explain why, this is what i will be doing here.

Aircraft

Germany
  • Ju 288 C
    6.0 → 6.3

Very powerful bomber, and should have a small BR bump. However the main problem is mostly the amount of them that is in the matchmaker.

  • Me 262 A-1a
    7.0 → 6.7

It is probably the worst 7.0 jet in the game by a long shot. While it can achieve a good speed, it is very slow to do so, and most other jets it faces is a lot faster than it. At the same time its armerments is really hard to use because its velocity, especially in the jet combat.

  • Me 262 A-1a/Jabo
    7.0 → 6.7

Same as the Me 262 A-1a, how ever it can carry a bomb. This does have a more justified BR, since it can be used for ground attack in GRB compared to the regular Me 262 A-1a, which armerment is only useful for planes, and maybe open top vehicles.

USSR
  • P-39K-1 (USSR)
    2.7 → 3.0

Bit unsure about this, but they both are very powerful fighters.

  • P-63A-5 (USSR)
    3.3 → 3.7

Very powerful fighter, with a really good flight performance.

  • ITP (M-1)
    4.0 → 4.3

A very powerful figher that have an easy time fighting even far above its belt.

Yak-3
4.3 → 4.7

One of the strongest fighters in the game for its BR, especially at lower altitudes. The thing is, most fights in the game, is being taken place at the low altitudes, where it have the advantage.

  • TIS MA
    4.3 → 4.7

Stong cannon armerments for ground pounding combinded with decentsized bombs, and a very good flight performance in regards to speed and turn.

  • Yak-3P
    5.0 → 5.3

  • Yak-3U
    5.7 → 6.3

Same reason as the normal Yak-3. The Yak-3U is the worst offender of the Yak-3’s, being near UFO like flight performance, easily outperforming planes that are located at a lot higher BR.
BR increase could also maybe even include the Yak-3 (VK-107), however i don’t have enough experience with meeting them to know how they perform.

  • Tu-1
    5.3 → 6.0

Same as TIS MA, but with even better cannons and bombload.

  • Tu-2S
    5.3 → 5.7

  • Tu-2S-44
    5.3 → 5.7

  • Tu-2S-59
    5.7 → 6.0

Very fast bombers with good mobility and frontal armerments that make them able to be used as heavy fighters. With their 1000kg bombs and bombsight, they are very easy to get ground kills with.

  • SU-9
    7.0 → 7.3

  • SU-11
    7.3 → 7.7

Both some of the best flight performance for their respective BR. While i have seen more SU-9 since last BR increase, and are more familiar with that, and was the main one i wanted to increase in BR, they are the same plane, but the SU-11 having a LOT better engine, and therefore they should not be the same BR.

  • MI-24A
    8.7 → 9.0

Very powerful in the start of matches in regards to its dumb fire rockets, and combined with its CCIP. It should not be this low when it have access to CCIP.

USA
  • P-36C
    1.7 → 2.0

Extremely good flight performance, combined with the .50 cal being able to easily kill enemy fighters, and even able to ground pound, since most of the enemy ground vehicles are even able to be killed from the side if not the front with a .50 cal, and the top armor of the vehicles being even weaker.

  • P-400
    2.0 → 2.3

Its combination of armerments and flight performance make it a very dominant fighter.

  • F4U-1A
    2.7 → 3.0

6x .50 cal, good flight performance and able to carry a decent sized bomb should not be this low in BR.

  • P-39N-0
    2.7 → 3.0

  • P-39Q-5
    2.7 → 3.0

  • P-63A-5
    3.3 → 3.7

Same reason as the USSR ones.

  • XP-50
    4.0 → 4.7

Easily outclimbs nearly anything, combined with airspawn, is able to permently sit above its enemies, and being able to chose when to engage.

  • P-63A-10
    4.0 → 4.3

  • P-63C-5
    4.0 → 4.3

Same as other P-63.

  • P-59A
    5.7 → 6.3

It is a jet that is able to out turn and outspeed most of what it faces. It is even have better flight performance than the He-162 which sits at 6.0

  • F2G-1
    6.0 → 6.3

One of the best props in the games, abel to easily climb to an altitude where it chooses the engagement.

  • P-51H-5-NA
    6.3 → 6.7

From what most people say, this is the best prop in the game, but it is somehow only at 6.3, while there is other fighters that is at a higher BR that it.

  • F-84B-26
    7.0 → 7.3

As it currently stands, one of, if not the be best 7.0 jet in the game, able to far outperfrom any other 7.0 jet.

  • F-89B
    7.0 → 7.3

  • F-89D
    7.0 → 7.3

Jets with this much speed and climb rate, should not be this low in BR. The 89B also have a very good armerment.

  • B-57A
    8.3 → 8.0

Jet bomber that is resonably slow, and is unarmed and cannot even run away from enemies.

  • A-4E Early
    8.7 → 9.0

Ground vehicles should not be able to face TV-guided munitions at this low of a BR where there is not realistic way for them to be able to do anything against it.

  • A-6E TRAM
    10.3 → 10.7

It can litterly sit at an altitude where it cannot be touched, and being able to drop precision guided bombs onto enemies that doesn’t even know where it came from. Even if it is being attacked by a enemy plane, it have access to All-aspect missiles.

UK
  • Stirling B Mk III
    4.7 → 4.3

It is nearly the same as the Stirling B Mk I, but it somehow sits at 0.7 BR higher? Why?

  • Spitfire Mk 22
    6.7 → 6.3

  • Spitfire Mk 24
    7.0 → 6.7

Have been sitting overtiered for quite a while now. While the Mk 24 can perform well against jets, it mostly does so when the jets makes mistakes and loose all their energy.

  • Vampire FB 5
    8.0 → 7.7

While it can be powerful, it will only do so, if the enemy jets chooses to engage it in a turn fight. The thing is, at this BR, most people knows that turnfighting is not advantageous, so it happens in a blue moon. It doesn’t have the thrust to wight ratio to be able to fight like jets usually do.

  • Canberra B Mk 2
    8.3 → 8.0

It is the same reasons as the B-57A, however it is even worse. In comparison to the B-57A, then it CANNOT turn when it goes anything over 500km/h, otherwise its wings will just break off.

  • Canberra B (I) Mk 6
    8.3 → 8.3

Same reason as the Canberra B Mk 2, but it looses its ability to being able to destroy a mini-base in one go, for 4x20mm Hispano. In comparison, the B-57B has the ability to carry even more bombs that its predecessor

  • Venom FB.4
    8.7 → 8.3

Same reason as the Vampire FB 5, but is even more extreme, being a lot higher BR.

  • Buccaneer S.1
    8.7 → 8.3

Unarmed strike aircraft that doesn’t have airspawn. When it is fully loaded, it have a very bad thrust to wight ratio, and being easily chased down by the aircraft it faces.

  • Buccaneer S.2
    9.3 → 9.0

In the similar situation as the Buccaneer S.1, however it does have access to flares and/or AIM-9B, however it does so by sacrificing most of its bomb load.

  • Hunter F.1
    9.0 → 8.7

A sub-sonic jet that is only armed with cannons. It can nearly not do anything against what it faces.

France
  • Yak-3 (France)
    4.3 → 4.7

Same reason as the Yak-3 in the USSR tree.

Sweden
  • B-239
    2.3 → 3.0

This should go even higher up that suggest, it nearly outturns the early spitfires, and it have a good climb rate at that. Its 4x .50 cal, easily shreads anything it fights, be it air targets or ground targets.

  • J22-B
    3.7 → 3.3

While this have some very good armerments, its plane very bad. It is like it fight like a BnZ, but i cannot climb, it cannon turn and it overheats nearly instantly.

  • SK60B
    7.0 → 7.3

With its custom loadout and flight performance, it is extremly powerful in ground battles.

  • SAAB-105G
    8.3 → 8.7

Very good flight performance in regards to climb, and maneuverability. Combined with it having CCIP, it easily is able to get 4 ground kills with its bombs, and at the same time, being untouchable.

Isreal
  • A-4E Early (M) (Isreal)
    8.7 → 9.0

Same reason as the US A-4E Early

Germany
  • Pz.38(t) n.A
    Rank 1 → 2

Move it up in rank, and give back its ability to scout. As it currently is in the game, there is no reason to play this thing.

  • Pz.IV F2
    3.3 → 3.7

  • Pz.IV G
    3.3 → 3.7

Generally nearly all the long 75mm armed Pz.IV can use a BR increase, since they have the performance to be able to. While they do require more skil since they are more of a glass cannon compared to T-34’s or M4’s, they have a gun that have better penetration.

  • Pz.IV H
    3.7 → 4.0 + Rank 2 → 3

  • Pz.IV J
    Rank 2 → 3

Same reason as the other 2 Pz.IV, but they should also get a rank increase, since there is no reason for players to use the vehicles further outside of the early tech tree resarch, since they cannot be used for missions.

  • KV-1B
    4.0 → 4.3

One of, if not the most powerful tank for its BR. It is not uncommon for it to being able to get 10 kills without getting killed once.

  • Tiger II (P)
    6.7 → 6.3

There is not reason to use this over the Tiger II (H), and most things at its equal and even lower BR a is able to easily pen the turret from the front.

  • Kugelblitz
    7.0 → 6.7

There is no reason to use this thing in the game, since it doesn’t have a lineup that it can be used in, and its cannons is at best mediocre at its current BR.

  • RakJPz 2
    8.0 → 7.7

MCLOS missiles that is hard to aim, and they are decently slow. Its closes comparison (Type 60 ATM & Zachlam Tager) sits at BR 6.7 rightfully so. There is also the AMX-13 (SS.11) & Strv 81 (RB 52), which both have the same missiles, but both of them also have a cannon that can be used, and the both are also at a lower BR then it.

USSR
  • BT-7M
    2.0 → 2.3

Good gun, extremely good mobility, making this a very good flanker, that can be in very advantageous positions very early in the game.

  • SU-122
    2.7 → 3.0

Extremely power full TD, it is near impervious from the front, and it have very good mobility. Combined with a cannon you nearly do not need to aim, it slaughters new players. You can litteraly turn you brain off and still easily dominate.

  • BTR-152A
    2.7 → 3.3

Its 14.5mm machineguns shreads planes even at far distances, and is extremly easy to aim, combined with its large clip size. It is also somehow extremely survivable, despite being open top.

  • T-34 (1940)
    3.3 → 3.7

Good mobility, good cannon, and really good armor for its BR, makes this extremly dominant. While there are tanks that can pen it when it faces them straight with its front, it is quickly able to turn its hull to make it near impossible for them to aim at any kind of weak spot.

  • YaG-10 (29-K)
    3.3 → 3.7

Very powerful cannon, while it is a glass cannon, it can hide itself quite well. Compared to the Breda 90/53 and 8,8cm Flak 37 Sfl. it doesn’t have a gun shield, which at first might seem like an disadvantage, but in reality is an advantage, since it is a lot harder to hit, and is able to more easily hide itself.

  • KV-1 (L-11)
    3.7 → 4.0

While not as mobile as the T-34, is is still surprisingly mobile, being able to quite quickly turn its hull. It cannon performs quite well, and is very hard to kill, if not quite litterally impossible for those tanks that is at a BR lower than it.

  • T-34 (1941)
    3.7 → 4.0

Same reason as the T-34 (1940).

  • BTR-152D
    3.7 → 4.3

Same reason as the BTR-152A, but it has double the amount of guns, making its time to kill a lot quicker, and if it by chance hits a plane, it is much more likely to hill it with its shots.

  • KV-1E
    4.0 → 4.3

Exactly the same reason as the German KV-1B

  • T-34-85 (D-5T)
    5.0 → 5.3

  • T-34-85
    5.3 → 5.7

Cannon wise, it is like the Tiger 1’s, but it trades the armor of the Tiger 1 for mobility.

  • M59/57
    6.3 → 6.7

Probably the second best cannon armed SPAA in the game, only beaten by the Falcon. Its cannons is able to shreads planes and ground vehicles alike.

  • SU-122-54
    6.7 → 7.0

Nearly have the armor of a T-54, and a cannon that is able to shread tanks that it faces, combined with very good mobility and having a MG that can easily deal with planes, it is very dominant. Especially if you compared it to other Tank Destroyers at the same BR.

  • Object 906
    8.0 → 8.3

With its stabilized autoloading cannon and its mobility, it outperforms a lot of vehicles that faces, even in a uptier, it is still very dominant.

  • IS-7
    8.3 → 8.7

  • Object 279
    8.7 -> 9.0
    9.0 → 9.3

Both are extremly powerful for their respective BR with their 130mm autoloading cannon, that is capable of firing APHE. The Object 279 is nearly impossible to kill for tanks even around its own BR or a bit higher, which means that it just shrugs off the enemy shell and near instantly turns onto the enemy and is able to oneshot them.

  • Shturm-S
    8.7 → 9.0

With the way its ATGM laucher sticks up, is nearly impossible to see it, and even if you see it, you cannon hit it. At the same time, its ATGM is very high velocity, so you nearly have no time to even try to locate it or hide, before you are hit. And it is capable of shooting helicopters out of the sky, even outranging them.

  • Strela-10M2
    9.3 → 10.3

This should go even higher than suggested. It is near impossible for any jets to dodge it, and compared to stinger platforms, it is able to engage helicopters out at ranges where it is useful.

  • M22
    2.0 → 2.3

Similar to the BT-7M

  • M4A3 (105)
    3.0 → 3.3

Extremly armored for its br, a lot of things can do nothing against it frontally, and it have at the same time very good mobility for its armor at the BR.

  • M26
    6.7 → 6.3

While it can have decent armor against vehicles at a lower BR, its most close in performance to the Panthers, while not having the same flaws as them, with the panthers slow reverse and missing side armor.

UK
  • Churchill VII
    4.7 → 4.3

While it have the some of the best armor, at the same time, it can easily be killed by shooting the forehead of the turret. Its cannon cannot do anything at its BR other than really to track the enemies and maybe kill light tanks. You cannot shoot at weak spots, since it is using solid shot, so the most you will do is only maybe damage the enemy crew member behind the weakspot.

  • Falcon
    8.3 → 8.0

It should stay at its current BR, while it can be used to deal with planes passing close to it, any other SPAA would be abel to do the same, it cannon however engage at planes and especially helicopters, when they are further away.

  • Chieftain Mk 3
    8.7 → 8.3

Its not really able to perform well at its current BR, since its armor is rendered useless by the APFSDS it is facing, and the same time it doesn’t have the mobility to flank the enemies, since everything is a lot faster at the BR it is at.

  • FV102 Striker
    Add spotting

It is part of the CVR(T) family, where the R quite litterally stands for Reconnaissance. It is a scouting vehicle, that doens’t have the ability to scout.

It is like a BTR-ZD, but at a lower BR. Compared to the BTR-ZD, while the HE ammo have less HE filler, its cannons have even higher muzzle velocity, and is able to more easily hit a target.

It is comparable to the Leopard 1, but have a LRF at the same time. The suggestion was either move this up or move the Leopard 1 down, and i was unsure about which was a better idea.

Good mobility, with its cannons have good pen and very much HE filler for its round. it is very easy to flank enemies with and when it does, it is able to shread them from the side and rear. It is also quite decent as a SPAA where it is comparable to the Crusader AA Mk I which sits at 3.0.

  • SAV 20.12.48
    3.7 → 4.3

Very good mobility, and a cannon that oneshots if it pens, and if it doesn’t it can shoot very quickly again. It is also quite small, and if it can get into a flanking possition, it can kill a lot of tanks, before they even have time to react.

  • Sherman III/IV
    3.7 → 4.0

It is a M4A3, but it doesn’t have a frontal weakspot of the MG port unlike the other sherman, which means that for a lot of the tanks that is at a lower BR, they cannot kill it at all.

  • Pbv 501
    6.7 → 7.3

It is a BMP-1 at a whole BR lower. I mean, normally the cannon is also the main armerment of the BMP-1, and that performs very well with that cannon at 7.7, however somehow this sits at 6.7, with exactly the same cannon. It just doesn’t make sense why this is so low of a BR.

  • Ikv 91
    7.7 → 8.0

This thing should not sit this low with its LRF, if the engagement is further that 800m, is is most likely tank to win the fight, since it doesn’t need to range the shots to be able to score a first hit.

  • VIDAR
    8.0 → 8.7

The combination of its LRF and Thermals with its cannon makes it too powerful for its current BR. At the same time, it is imune to 20mm auto cannon fire, and therefore some vehicles have no way to realistically deal with it.

There were some vehicles that i had forgotten in my original comment, which were the following:

  • Pe-8
    4.3 → 5.0
    With its defensive armerments being probably one of the best in the game, and it also compared to a lot of the other bombers being very spongy, is is near impossible to kill it in one pass with a plane, making it that you either have to use a lot of time to get to an adventagous position again, or risk placing yourself in a position where you quite quickly will be killed, or at best cripled, making you need to go back to the airfield to repair.

  • T-50
    2.7 → 3.0
    It nearly have the mobility of the BT-7M, and at the same time having nearly having the same armor of the T-34. The combination of those two, makes it very powerful tank, where a lot of enemy tanks will have a hard time to even try to pen its armor, and it being able to flank them.

  • T28
    6.3 → 6.7
    It is a T95 at 6.3, it should be a lot closer in BR to quite litteraly the same tank.

  • Churchill I
    3.3 → 3.0
    While it have armor, where the hull armor is probably better than the M4A3 (105), its turret is worse. At the same time it is a LOT slower and its gun is beyond useless at its BR.

  • T-34 (Sweden)
    3.7 → 4.0
    Same as reason as USSR T-34.

The type 81 going up makes sense its just everything else needs to go up along with it ideally there also needs to be seperate brs for aircraft in GRB and ARB since CAS planes go from being underwhelming in ARB to the most broken thing you can spawn in GRB

I think you are conflating the planes performance, when it’s the missiles performance that is the issue…

The AIM-7s are just broken as can be. Some patch straight broke them and they are no longer effective. It’s not the plane needing to be moved but the missiles need to be fixed.

With the somua going up, remove it’s buffs because it did NOT need to be immune to M82 Shot frontally

The thing is that while they are in the game, they don’t truly fit as fighters. They were simply not competitive fighters. The A-10 should really ONLY be used in ground RB/SIM unless you are looking to just get a few ground kills and die in air RB. It’s not supposed to chase down fighter jets and score kills.

Like what gives, you are once again compressing things after just spreading things out. Furthermore, How about instead of nerfing the French ground force tech tree you add some new content ? My god

And by pushing up all of the AMX 50 120 counterparts you are effectively killing the amx 50 120 too since who is gonna play a tank with zero line up ? This is nuts and it’s the same way why people don’t play the amx 40 IT HAS ZERO LINE UP

I agree it doesn’t deserve to go to 6.3. Can’t scout, no smoke either.

French 7.7 to 8.0 change while the only Russian vehicle in this list is the strela is absolutely hilarious. I don’t think I’ve ever witnessed a game developer be so incompetent at running their game. No stabilisers, only solid AP or m82 shot, inadequate armor, and ok mobility, these tanks are carried by the disproportionate amount of good players that use them. It’s not like they’re even a problem that needs addressing, you rarely see these tanks in game, and it’s even rarer that you see someone dominating in them. This is a change spawned by someone looking at a spread sheet who has no intrinsic knowledge of the game they’re altering, and a totally needless one. The one advantage they did have, which was their enhanced mobility, is completely negated now because every other tank is just as mobile, yet has better firepower, better armor, better capabilities. I mean it really does boggle my mind that someone sitting at a computer somewhere thought that these tanks needed uptiering is just so unbelievable

The DCA at 4.3 was presumably made to give air cover to any vague line up at its BR.
AMX 13 at 4BR, ARL at 3.7 and M4A4 at 3.7. So move it to 5BR and what SPAA do France have at 3.7-4 BR?

The DCA wont kill anything at 5-6, planes are too fast for that kind of cannon.
It worked well at 4 .3 just about. No.

Trouble is, it was too effective against enemy armour so just take the AP away if you must and leave it to be a SPAA and help with the CAS issue.

Gaijin just see individual vehicles on a stat chart and think nothing of line ups or even usage for that vehicle. Make vehicles pointless and redundant.

Do we all just play one vehicle now? Do a ODL and get crew locked as a result?
France hardly can make a line up at 3-4 as it is. Now they are back to square one with the SPAA.

Just seems brainless. Having to play low BR vehicles just to make a line up is a pain but then having the gap widened further by kneejerk reaction to stats is a step is far.

Think about line ups Gajin and the current anger we already have regarding uptiers and Matchmaking.

Please dont move the amx m4 up in BR. It wont have a line up at 7.0 and i really love it at 6.7

The Falcon is worthy of 8.0 (and maybe even 8.3). The Chieftain Marksman, however, should honestly go down to 8.0.
The Falcon can shoot at 1302 RPM, compared to only 240 RPM for the ZSU-57-2. That, and the fact that the Falcon is stabilized, as well as the fact that it has a MUCH better turret traverse rate in both vertical and horizontal than the ZSU-57-2, makes it a MUCH better SPAA than the ZSU-57-2. Even though it shoots 30mm rounds instead of 57mm rounds, the 30mms are still very deadly to aircraft.

The Falcon has less pen for its APDS (110mm flat at 0 degrees) than the ZSU-57-2 (~150mm) APHE rounds, so you may believe that the ZSU-57-2, despite its worse fire rate, is a better anti-tank for its BR. However, because of all the traits previously mentioned, the Falcon is very capable at dealing with multiple enemies at once. Sure, it may not frontally pen many tanks, but it can pen pretty much any vehicle from the side (as long as it’s not a super-heavy tank like the IS-4M). The Falcon gets 50mm pen APHE (SAP-I), which can deal nearly as much damage as the APHE does with the ZSU-57-2. The only problem is penetration, but because of how small and numerous they are (remember the 1302 rounds per minute), they can easily pen cupolas, gunner view ports, and lower-side armour of USSR’s T-54s and T-55s at close range. These are also really deadly against light tanks.
As for survivability, yes, the falcon does not have a lot of crew members, nor armour, but any HE round can effectively kill both of them with ease anyways, let alone finding them and shooting them first.

The falcon going up is 100% justified. It’s mobile with really good guns that don’t struggle to kill aircraft and tanks alike. It will do just fine at 8.3.
