From my experience in GFAB, it’s completely useless to spawn any other SPAAG if there is one or more of these around. Here’s why:
Superior locking capabilities compared to FIM-92E/K, which are 1 BR step higher;
Near instantaneous Lock, even on Helicopters;
Missile is faster (by 30m/s) but still, and has a much better G overload, and HE warhead;
Has 8 missiles while MachBet has only 4 (same BR),
As said this thing should go way up in GFAB, CAS spawns within it’s targeting range most of the time and unless you immediately engage the Flare release you are dead. And most of the time for good measure you get two missiles towards you, while Stinger based platforms are still trying to lock.
GROUND RB - France 7.7 lineup: keep at 7.7 - I played with and against the 7.7 French lineup, it makes 0 sense to overtier them. Maybe they have high stats because this lineup is so bad already that only mains play them. I have no idea how tanks with 200mm APHE shells will fight 8.7 and 9.0 monsters like the T-55-AM.
- AMX-13 (FL11): keep 4.0 - This tank is just a fancy M24, does anyone fell like it is an issue at 4.0?
- T20: keep 6.0 - This tank is decent at 6.0 I don’t understand why increase its BR yet again.
- T95: Keep 7.0 - I never had issues facing this tank with my Tiger II, in fact I never felt the T95 is problematic. It’s super slow but has a decent gun and decent armor (giant cupola weakspot), it’s fine at 7.0.
AIR RB - J6K1: keep 6.3 - This BR change makes no sense; the plane has powerful armament but the flight performance is mediocre; that’s the tradeoff. At 6.7 you won’t be able to catch any jet since you are too slow on the deck and dives; you are sitting prey.
- J7W1: 6.0 > 5.7 - After multiple performance nerfs and the shell velocity nerf this plane can’t compete. This is an interceptor that still doesn’t get an airspawn. Read any thread about the J7W1, everyone hates flying it. The Ta-152H is superior performance wise AND has an airspawn.
- Ki-94II: 6.0 > 5.7 - This is another interceptor that doesn’t get an airspawn. With only 17m/s of climb rate and a very heavy airframe you need to play a BnZ style but that’s not possible since you can’t compete with props like the P51H, F2G and Ta-152H. Its performance is similar to the P-47M which sits at a comfortable 5.7 BR.
- Saggitario 2: keep 9.0 - The Ariete is a better plane in all aspects and has a 9.3 BR why increase the Sagittario BR? Is this an example of BR compression?
The AMX-13 DCA 40 being moved to 5.0 feels excessive. Yes it has more ammo than the Swedish variant ( Lvkv 42 ), but if anything the Swedish variant should be at a lower BR due to its abysmal ammo count (You are out of ammo with full ammo loadout in ~20 seconds) and its worse maneuverability.
If the balance team is dedicated on moving it up, 4.7 at first and see how it does there. Can always change it later. Rather do lots of small tweaks than large ones like this.
The AMX-13 M24 could/should also be moved up to Rank 3. It has the same BR as the US M24, but is at Rank 2 for some reason which makes it unable to grind medium tasks/events with. BR Can stay the same and it would fill the Rank 3 lineups nicely.
AMX-13 (FL 11) being moved up to 4.3. Can’t see much sense in it. It is a worse M24 in practice. Smaller, but does not have a stabilizer, has worse armour and no roof-mounted 50-cal. If anything it should be moved down to 3.7. Still kept at Rank 3 however.
Gaijin doesn’t need to make ‘‘balance debating’’ easy for you as you don’t exist to make those choices. If you want to debate, gather up your own data. They will balance vehicles as they see fit. Not everything exists solely for your debate, buddy.
What is it with these personal attacks? Gaijin doesn’t need to give you statistics to make ‘‘informed’’ comments. What they need is for you to say how the vehicle performs, not you to try and assume how the vehicle performs based on internal data.
How about raising F-104A,C to BR9.7?
Due to the F-104’s high speed performance, situations often arise where no one is able to shoot down the F-104. (Even if the aircraft is the same BR)
Furthermore, aiming to shoot down an F-104 requires practice, so no one will be able to shoot down an F-104 operated by a player who has just started riding an F-104. 104 also causes long matches where you are unable to shoot down enemy aircraft.
Player feedback means you take your role as a player and use information that you get from the game experiences for your feedback. You are not an data analysist working for gaijin. You do not make your feedback based on their internal data. That is not your role as a player. Base your feedback based on your experience instead of on numbers. Hard concept to grasp?
They’re not looking for userbase opinions on their own internal data.
Because “balancing” is statistics-based, not vehicle-based.
If you have the exact same vehicle in 2 separate tech trees, but one of them performs better, it will have a higher BR, regardless of the capabilities of the “hardware” itself.
Pure bs method.
Chi Nu II and Pz IV F2 come to mind. The Chi Nu II is very similar (gun, armour, general mobility), slightly better. Still a whole BR higher.
This helps balance differences between skill because the matchmaker will put lower skilled people against higher skilled people. We need to take both skill and vehicle power into account when making a matchmaker. BR is what affects matchmaking, and matchmaking can’t ignore skill.
