I just finished spading it and i can confidently say that you can only do ANYTHING if the airspace is uncontested. If there are any other planes or helicopters in the air, you are dead. There is nothing you can do other than evade and pray for player incompetence. Not to mention, if you get hit with a single bullet, your entire weapons system dies.
Currently struggling through the Tzefa B now as well. It’s at a higher BR, but without the Lahatut’s mobility it’s really hard to do well in it.
Mode: Air RB
Vehicle: F-14A Early
Change: AIM-9H —> AIM-9L
Reason: At 12.7 this is the highest BR vehicle in the game that lacks all aspect heat seeking missiles, while many vehicles at similar battle ratings not only carry all aspect heat seeking missiles, but also IRCCM heat seeking missiles. Having access to the AIM-9L would still be an reasonable disadvantage at 12.7 to compensate for its ability to carry Phoenixes at 12.7, especially considering the poor flight performance and RWR in comparison to similar BR’ed aircraft such as F-16, MiG-29, and Mirage-2000C.
Situational awareness is limited in simulator battles compared to realistic battles. Kfir canard suffers severely from this lack of situational awareness. It has no viable radar to find / IFF enemy planes, RWR is very limited without any track / launch warning /J band detection, has only two rear-aspect only IR missiles with limited G-overload, oddly placed countermeasures.
Its main competition is Mig-21 bis platforms with a usable radar for the BR (with IFF and invisible to Kfir’s radar), more and better placed countermeasures, 6 all-aspect IR missiles with high G-overload.
This doesn’t seem balanced. Please reduce the battle rating of Kfir Canard in SB to 10.7.
Give Strikers and Bombers their air spawn, 500m above the airfield.
The game has advanced enough that people can easily intercept Strikers and Bombers. Enough missiles, enough top speed jets are available at every rank and BR MM.
Pz. IV Ausf. H, Ausf. G (Italy) (L/48 tanks, except J)
RB
3.7 → 4.0
These tanks are the best of the Panzer IV family, with the best armor protection (especially the Ausf. H) and firepower while retaining superior fire-controls over the later Ausf J/Bfw. They should be a higher BR than the Ausf. J (currently 3.7) and also are comparable opponents to the T-34s w/ F-34 and the M4A2 Sherman, which it once shared a BR with. The armor protection in particular is improved enough to be challenging for some of the weaker main guns at its current BR (F-34, 75mm M3, ZiS-5) to struggle even at short range, which is only exacerbated when fighting weaker opponents at 2.7. It is unreasonable for a tank like the Chi-He or M15/42 to fight a Pz. IV H, as they have zero chance in any engagement.
ZTZ59A
GRB 8.0 > 8.3
Reason: Being at the same BR as the T-54’s while having a vertical stab AND a LRF? Kinda surprised its been so under the radar, the damn thing is borderline OP!
Tiger II (H), ground realistic battles
6.7->7.0
Reason: playing 5.7 and getting uptiered to fight against this thing is a nightmare. Anything at 5.7 can’t pen this frontally, so if this comes rushing you from the corner you’re screwed. And spawning anti-tank vehicle just for fighting against this isn’t worth it.
The addition of autocannon IFVs as makeshift SPAA will not change the fact that most players will use them as light tanks. The ZSL92 is just one of many such cases, and would be better served if given its proper light tank utilities (e.g. scouting, APDS). This change would also move it up in BR slightly, farther away from WWII vehicles which have no way to compete with its mobility.
