Planned Battle Rating changes for August 2025 (updated 16:00, 15.08)

I agree with this, 2S38 is not as good as the HSVT-L due to the depression and mobility, but definitely good enough for 11.0

or atleast 10.7

imo it is fine as long as it moves up from 10.3

yeah

rn i tested my Tiger II (H) without mods (only 619hp) and it barely can pass from 28kph.
if u say its ok to have a 70t tanks with 600hp only, then idk in what world u live

Gaijin has done a poor job of explaining as to why the Tiger II’s engine is being changed to be 600 horsepower. The engine installed in the Tiger II, the Maybach HL 230 P30 while yes, is capable of producing 700 horsepower, starting in November 1943, a centrifugal speed governor was installed onto both the Maybach HL 230 P30 for the Panther which already has the governor in game. The Tiger II would come already equipped with the governor from the beginning as this change was done before it entered production and the Maybach HL 230 P45 in the Tiger Ausf. E which for some reason is missing from the list. This limited the engine power to 2500 RPM and at that speed, the engine only produced 600 horsepower.

Yes, the HL 230 is capable of 700 horsepower, however this change isn’t decreasing it to 600 horsepower @ 3000 RPM, it’s because of the speed governor limiting the RPM to 2500 the engine power is being reduced to 600.

As for top speed, even the 42 km/h top speed it currently has isn’t a sustainable top speed. It should be able to reach that under ideal conditions for a short burst, even with 700hp @ 3000rpm horsepower. The Tiger II’s usual top speed is 38 km/h. The 38 km/h top speed at 600hp @ 2500rpm is the top speed achievable for a short period under ideal conditions, and 34 km/h is the standard top speed.

I like seeing that this was cancelled.

so the Tiger II was able to produce 700hp but it was limited to 600hp due to the speed governor.

that’s the explanation i was waiting for, now i accept the nerf

Im really sorry man but you are picking at straws here.
It just brings me back to my main point. The Type 90 is VERY powerful in the right hands but hard to use for noobs. Here is a classic example of Gaijin punishing the players that know how to use it. Type 90 and Click Bait at the same BR is hilarious and the only reason why they we are here is because the majority of click bait players click bait are significantly worse than type 90 players.

Checks ground forces changes
>ground forces BR still capped at 12.0

Where decompression?

Or even just BOL. Anything to give them a reason to be higher if they cannot move down

Mode: Ground Realistic Battles
Vehicle: Jpz 4-5
Change: Add the M431 as the default shell.

Reasoning:
Currently, the two default shells available for the Jpz 4-5 in the game — the DM502 and M71 — have penetration values of only 102mm and 16.2mm, respectively, making them completely ineffective against enemy vehicles of the same tier. As a result, players are unable to effectively engage in combat or research modifications before unlocking the M431 shell.

Then write a letter of complaint 85 years into the past and tell them to make a better engine

said the man screaming about better players without showing as much as hint of data to support that.

then just show to all of us how good are you by playing it at 11.7. For someone so skilled it should be easy to flex on us noobs.

VBC-PT2
BR: 9.3 → 9.3 (No Change)

The VBC-PT2, despite a fast-firing cannon and mobile platform, is currently sitting fine as in 9.3 and its combat capability is not fitting for 9.7.

First, compared to IFV counterparts such as BMD-4M, it lacks ANY form of frontal engagement AT tools, as in ATGM. When faced with fast flanking MBTs with some armour, such as XM-1s, OF-40 or KPZ-70s, the VBC-PT2 lacks any capability to engagement head on while contesting for flanking posistion. While BMD-4Ms or Belgeitpanzer have missiles for these situations. The VBC-PT2 is already requiring a higher skill floor and knowledge of the game in order to be effective as it has no backup alternative but flanking shots (which is also not guaranteed against Russian MBTs due to the limited penetration of 92mm point blank).

At the same time, compared to the VBCI-2 (MCT30) of 9.7.
It lacks the unmanned turret (reduced survivability)
lacks frontal fuel tank for spall absorption (less survivable)
Lacks sufficient penetration against up-tier Russian MBT side armour (92mm of VBC compare to 114mm of VBCI)
Lacks IRST tracking (lacks anti-helicopter and pseudo AA capability)
Worse gun handling (smaller zoom, worse thermals, slower horizontal and vertical speed).
Worse mobility (less P/W, 21.2 vs 22.2 of VBCI-2)

Currently, the VBC-PT2 only reflects the combat capability of its 9.3 France cousin of VBCI, while lacking in detailed auxiliary equipment such as IRST and Electro-optical Active Protection System the France have.

and why they limited its RPM to 2500? gearbox issues?

I find it a strange choice to nerf it based on it. Begleit is higher BR in arcade than RB presumably because it has HE-VT and you get a lead indicator within 2.5km in arcade, so its much easier to swat planes out of the sky.

2s38 has IR tracking though anyways so it wouldn’t have problems either way. Could just put it at 10.7 in AB and RB and people might finally be happy lol.

They should add the countermeasures back to the chineese MLU, now that it will be 13.3

The Gearbox on the Tiger II worked well, the issue was the engine in general, it had to be limited on both the Panther and Tiger to extend the engine life.

Gaijin Quick question why is the chinese squadron vehicle Object 122MT “MC” 8.7 And not 9.0 or even 9.3? The T-55 with drozd is at 9.0 when the orginal is at 8.3? The chinese veriant has Over 1000hp+ Almost double from the original and the one Drozd one, ontop of that it has a More sloped armor 67 degrees instead of 59 making ti more armored and while that wasn’t enough it has 4 ATGMS And it has a Better APFDS round with 350mm or pen instead of 335mm of the orginal One again ussr get’s the short end of the stick by gaijins balancing team
