They could show us their data and explain their positioning. They dont do that however.

Vehicle: Shimakaze
BR Change: 5.0 → 7.7

A vehicle that can launches tons of long lance torpedos capable of ending battleships in one shot, the ironic thing is that it does better against battleships than destroyers who can easily dodge their torpedoes.

The ship should be 7.7, therefore pitted against ships that has a realistic chance of dodging the torpedoes or absorbing some of them.

Mode: Ground Realistic Battles
BR Change: 10.0 → 10.0

Reason: M60 AMBT is staying at 10.0 (you get a LWS, marginally better traverse rate and 0.7s extra reload speed when aced on the Sabra but have less engine HP and no 25mm RWS, relatively equal performance in different ways)

On top of this, at 10.3 it moves alongside the 120S at 10.3, a Patton variant with an Abrams turret (infinitely more survivable) better round and with a 5s aced reload, a further second faster than the Sabra. Makes no sense at all to say it’s outright better than the AMBT let alone equal to the 120S which trounces it in every conceivable measure except not having a LWS.

Yes, doing that for dozens of vehicles just to satisfy a random on the forum blabbering about something he has little idea about doesn’t seem very realistic.

Also, SS shows a pretty decent picture and even if Gaijin decided to publish stats, you can’t be sure that data haven’t been tampered with before publishing, just to suit their narrative.

Vehicle: Merkava Mk.2D
Mode: Ground Realistic Battles
BR Change: 10.0 → 10.0

Reason: Identical tank to the Merkava Mk.1B (and 2B) in overall performance which both sit at 9.7. Only difference is the addition of some composite screens on the 2D. It can be justified that this deserves it to sit at a BR step higher (at 10.0) but this is such a minor difference to any sort of realistic survivability to anything except some HEAT/HEATFS shots that in no way is it two BR steps higher in performance. It will not stop missiles at its tier, and APFSDS is essentially unaffected (both far more prevalent on anything except some stock vehicles).

There are countless replies talking about the Mk.2D if they really dont wanna change the br after all the feedback then it should kinda be their job to at least respond. especially when they act like they take feedback etc.

Holy cope. The Jaguar IS is incredibly easy to fly and do well in and you want to give it a full BR drop?

These BR change threads are absolutely hectic with some ridiculous takes.

This whole format is flawed, as opinions of people with unchecked skill levels are still accepted.

Again, responding to every feedback is just unrealistic thing to do. They do take feedback as shown with BMDs, but that feedback must be at least semi sane.

It only took me the 191 games I have in the Jaguar IS to fully ace the crew for free and to grind like 2 million RP to get me to the Typhoon, I really don’t understand how people can do poorly enough in it to think that it needs to move down.

But yeah I agree that the format is flawed. I’m happy that Gaijin usually ignores a lot of the changes people request.

13.7 then, too close to the F-16AM or A OCU.
The regular ADFs are 13.3 on the pretense they don’t have IRCCM. Also comparing an F-16 to a harrier isn’t remotely fair.

The Merkava should be better balanced. The Merkava 1B should be at Br 9.3 with the M111 as its best bullet. The Merkava 2B at Br 9.7 with the M413 as its best bullet. And the Merkava 2D with revised armor and the M428 SWORD (a bullet similar to the M900) as its best bullet at Br 10.7.
The Merkava 2B (actually a 2B Late or 2C), which is in the American tech tree, could also be added to the Israeli tech tree, using the M426 as its best bullet and at Br 10.0.
Keep in mind that the armor resistance of all Merkavas, as well as the resistance of the transmission and engine block, as well as the front fuel tank, should be reviewed.
Aside from the fact that one difference between the Merkava (and many other tanks in the game) is that the different versions use increasingly better fire calculators in addition to meteorological and gun status sensors, making them increasingly more precise, but of course, on maps where you shoot at 500 meters, precision doesn’t matter.

Pretty much. I would rather Gaijin balance by statistics over anyones opinion - no matter how popular it is.
