Merkava 1 will suffer again after this ridiculous BR adjustment
Vehicle - Strv 103C
Mode: Ground RB
BR: 9.0 > 8.7 (revert planned change)
Reasoning: The Strv 103C is already struggling at it’s current BR. The earlier versions at 8.0 are fine because they can somewhat rely on their armor against APDS and other earlier AP shells. Against APFSDS and more powerful HEAT-FS, it’s completely powerless. This problem is only worsened by the fact that pretty much every vehicle at 9.0-10.0 has full stabilisers, lightning fast reaction time and much more powerful cannons, while the Strv 103C has to stop before you can accurately aim which means it has a MUCH slower reaction time.
Even if the Strv 103C survives the first hit, it’s very likely that either the gearbox or the engines (or both) gets hit, and the aiming system is rendered completely powerless, i.e. there is nothing you can do to retaliate. Speaking of engines, all of the Strv 103s have two independent engines. Even if one is destroyed, the other one can function completely independently, something that is not modeled in War Thunder. Oh, and it doesn’t even get thermals, something that many other MBTs are starting to get.
Vehicle: 2S38
BR: same
Other changes: 24 rounds of 3UBM22 per game maximum
Still enough to knock out a handful of MBTs(and, 24 ZTZ99s if the aim is good), since it is a dedicated SPAA IRL, might as well make it be played like one.
I suppose this is the best way to balance it. Without ammo crates it also requires to get on a cap.
Strv 103s are a weird mix bc in 8.0 a well placed strv can be the best weapon for a skilled gamer, but the 103C just gets lolpenned by darts, idk what to say but keeping it at 8.7 is probably good
I really wish they would look at peoples lists. I made a pretty dedicated list on why certainly vehicles should move to certain brs.
It already suffers. It shotguns spall like crazy, has tons of armor holes, and now one of the only good lineups are fucking gone. Reduced to atoms.
The Sabra is going to 10.0, so no more lineup for it.
The Merkava Mk.1/2B is going to 9.7 despite being no better than other 9.3 tanks and now it’s getting ripped from the 9.3 Magachs, so there will be no more lineup for them.
Are we really at a point in this game where we genuinely think the Merkava Mk.2 is remotely capable of fighting 10.7 MBT? Really?
Israel has literally 0 lineups now between 9.3 and 11.3. This is disgusting.
Vehicle: KF41
BR: 11.0 to 10.7 in GRB
Other changes: none, or two extra SPIKEs
Its essentially a worse PUMA or NAMER due to its manned turret. It is enough for its job but statistically inferior, the manned turret is essentially the problem.
why butcher SWE 8.7 ground :( WHYY
anywho if youre going to make 9.0 lineup a thing atleast put this in there too plz:
Mode:Ground realistic
Vehicle: CV9030FIN
Change:9.3 → 9.0
There needs to be another round of BR decompression for both Air and Ground.
In Air, many subsonic jets formerly in the 8.7-9.3 range were moved down during last April’s BR changes, and now totally outclass the vehicles around 7.3-8.3. Aircraft like the MiG-15bis or F-86F-30 should absolutely not be facing aircraft like the Meteor F.3 or Me 262 C.
While these late 1950s subsonic jets will struggle to fight supersonic aircraft and missile carriers, this means that aircraft that are outperforming them should move up, rather than moving these aircraft down to face easier opponents. In this situation, all aircraft starting around ~9.3+ (e.g. Yak-38, F-104) should be moved up in BR, and the total BR ceiling raised to 14.3 or even 14.7.
In Ground, there is a similar situation around the same BR. The transition from the end of WWII (around 7.0) into the 1960s (~8.3-8.7) happens far too rapidly, and this means that many vehicles with vast differences in capabilities (e.g. stabilizers, HEAT-FS, APDS) are forced to face each other in completely unfair engagements. A particularly bad example of this compression is the T-54 (1949) and Type 69, both of which are at 8.0, despite the latter having advantages in a stabilizer, laser rangefinder, and APFSDS. The Type 69 should not really face 9.3 or 9.7 vehicles, as it’s not that much better than the T-54, but it is ridiculous that they are at the same BR.
To resolve this, all tanks starting from around ~8.0/8.3+ (e.g. Type 69, T-55A, M60A1, Type 74(C)) should be raised in BR, and the total BR ceiling raise to 12.3 or 12.7.
If we are going by that standard, all the spaa with APDS should have another form of nerf. I propose all the Gepard like spaa go up in br as they are super dominate for spaa. They race across the battlefield to kill things. At least you have to have some semblance of skill for the 2s38
Revert ALL changes to the AMX-13 and Israeli tech tree vehicles.
The Sabra cannot stand alone, and the Merkava Mk.1/2 has no major BR changing advantages over other tanks of 9.3.
With all due respect, what substance(s) are you on to believe that the type 81 should be at the same BR as the ADATS?
The fact that it was higher than the Tunguska was already preposterous as is, but here we go …
Going to be great for Japan having to use a Type 93 at 11.3 now.
The Merkava series is NOT the best 9.3 and cannot survive at 9.7. That’s a horrible fucking take.
I think it should be asked the other wise, why the ADATS is in 11.7 the first place
Revert all changes in French’s AMX too
Its that time of the forum again no? When discussing a tank, one tends to focus only on downtiers when discussing what faces it and only on uptiers to its perspective. T-55AMD: wow such overpowered! Smashing (insert 7.7 tanks). It gets uptiered: noooo the (insert 10.0 tank) will clap it!
Just because it has 10km range doesn’t mean it can actually fire from such distance. Optics on this heli are bad, you can effectively fire from 5km at best, maybe 6km if you are lucky and have insane aim.
But then again, just because it can effectively fire and hit from such range doesn’t mean it will get to do so.
This heli is a brick, so spawning in 2nd helipad, getting close enough to fire and then coming back to reload isn’t an option. You wouldn’t get to fire more than once or twice in a battle, even with great crew.
So what usually happens is you spawn in on closest helipad which is 3-5km away from the battlefield. Thanks to that you don’t have to fly too far away and can fire comfortably, but you get hammered as soon as something like Gepard appears.
7.7 AAs can’t deal with it, i will admit that, but they aren’t really suposed to do that. A real and already effective enough counter to H-34 are planes. If you add even stronger AAs on top of that it will be unplyable

no spaag around this br can get you at 5km.
