Planned Battle Rating changes for April 2025

Uhhh- a few issues here. First, remember that the Ratel is the size of a King Tiger. There’s a difference between having a small and low-profile armored car and a two-decker bus sized monster truck that has no protection at all. And about the Ratel 20, ATGMs aren’t as good as Tiger II players think. Any HEAT-FS at that br can pen through the Tiger’s armor. ATGM’s can actually be worse since you have to wait a long time for your missile to hit. I have literally never struggled against an ATGM vehicle in the King Tiger before. When compared to the Marder, the difference is depressing. The Marder has a lower profile, has better armor, better agility, is tracked, is better hull down, and has consistent mobility. I genuinely doubt you have played the Ratels a lot---- they are horrible vehicles, and will still be even if Gaijin improves their off-road maneuverability. Maybe try playing the Ratels more and you’ll see what I mean.

Softstat change suggestions:

5 cm KwK 38 L/42 Aced Max Crew Reload Speed of currently 4.0 Sec lowering to 3.0 or 3.3 Seconds (the fastest). It is a good/mediocre gun, with good Penetration (80mm) at relatively low Velocity (685m/s), but even the fastest reload is 4.0 Seconds.

For comparisson the other guns of similar Performance and size have much faster reloads with, including 1 and 2 men turrets, while the 5 cm KwK 38 L/42 (on Pz III Ausf.F and J as well as Pz.Sp.Wg. P204(f) KwK), it also has a Dedicated loader (and on the Pz III Ausf.J even nerfed by a Ready rack):

We need decompression for Air Realistic Battles.

Some BR’s and planes are absolutely unplayable and your solution to this is always lower the BR’s of certain aircraft making the compression even worse.

This game would be so much enjoyable if you would care a little bit more about the MM and the BR’s balance.

BR’s like 13.0 ~ 9.3 ~ 8.3 ~ 8.0 are just awful to play and it’s kinda shame considering the options you have available. Things need to go UP! If you keep moving things down it’s just gonna get worse. It’s something you seem to not understand.

For example: F-16A (13.0) having only AIM-9Ms on a BR where it’s constantly seeing things like the Typhoons or Rafale because matchmaking seems to put you on uptiers all the time there. Do you guys think its fair? And this is just an example.

It’s sad for me to see you have a game with some much potential and you just simply ignore the real issues sometimes to make it even better.

BRs need to go UP!

Softstat change suggestions:

Give the He grenades to Rank I and II, with Overpressure and many unarmored or thinnly armored vehicles, especially if your tank doesnt have a coax (P.204 (f) for example) and most can be effective. Especially the Pz III Ausf.F and J which have the 5 cm KwK 38 L/42, the Sprgr.38 has 200g Fp.02 and Np.10 with an TnT aquivalent of 256g thats more than enove to Overpressure enemys.

reason:
The suggestion of moving to 7.0 appears to be based on static performance, however in the current map environment long range maps that allow for such gameplay are nonexistent, rather prioritising rapid knife fights, situations where the AMX-13-75 with it’s solidshot, poor elevation, and lack of stabiliser struggle. That not getting into the almost complete ineffectiveness of the platform in such scenarios against heavy tanks and super heavy tank destroyers

Where is separate BRs for planes in naval modes? It’s been a year since you introduced them for ground battels.

Pbil m/40, 20 mm Pvlvkan M/40 reloadspeed from 1.0 sec to 3-6 sec (like other Auto cannons or more) it has a 36 rounds drum, in a small turret, barely overheats and can pretty much continuesly fire without stop.

Vehicle: Merkava 2D

BR Change: 9.7 → 9.7

Reasoning:
While the amor looks impressive it is quite easy to kill with good shot placement, the engine in the front does not stop Dart or potent HEAT-Rounds. The Addon-Armor doens’t help much against kinetic rounds. Mobility is poor with low acceleration and top speed. Basically a Merk1/2 with even worse mobility for minor upgrades to its armor. On top of that it still only fields an 105mm gun with rather bad reload and only DM33.

The 2 cm KwK 30/38 L/65 on AA vehicles such as Sd.Kfz.222 (and Chinese), Sd.Kfz.234/1 and Sd.Kfz.140/1 from 6 → 3 sec reload like the 2 cm Flak 38 L/65, These Vehicles are dual Purpose AA vehicles, have a Dedicated loader next to the gun (unlike Pz II Ausf.C and F where he is in the hull and Needs to reach up) and only have 10 round Magazins unlike the 20 round Magazins on the Flaks. Effectively giving it 1/4s effectiveness (compared to the Flakpanzer 38(t))

Reasoning: Fakour-90s are highly unbalanced as there is no counter to a team that spams fakours AND aim-54s, which makes the games extremely un-fun to play, as everything you do is, try to take off, get slapped by Fakour and or phoenix, rinse and repeat.

T18E2 RGB 3.0 → 3.7/4.0 It has more armor, a stronger gun and comparable Speed and cant be easily destroyed with even HMGs and lighter cannons, it has so much armor with angle that frontally some cant penetrate it at all (like the italian guns), compared to the Sd.Kfz.234/2 which allready sits at 3.7, which has only 30mm (angled) armor, with the rest only 8-14,5mm and a weaker gun.

Panzer IV Ausf.E GRB 2.0 → 1.7
It is basically in between the Pz IV Ausf. C and F1, tho at the same Br as F1, even tho it only has mere 30mm frontal turret armor, and mostly 20mm side and back armor. While it has 10mm more Frontal hull protection, however that has holes with just 30mm. There isnt really a reason to play the E over the F1, as you cant even properly angle, because of the 20mm side, which can even be penetrated by relatively more powerfull 37mm guns.

Bf 110 C-6 GRB (Not Air) 3.0 → 2.3 or 2.0

Reason: The better C-7 is 2.7 which is better because: Armored glass, can carry bombs and has 2x 20mm Mg FF/M and faster while the C-6 cant have bombs has no 20mm and is fixed with the 30mm Mk 101. In comparison the Hs 129 B-2 which is also at 2.3 has more armor, 2x 20mm Mg 151/20 and 2x Mg 17 (instead of 4x Mg 17) and a Mk 103 with 100 instead of 60 rounds and higher fire rate. It overall exchanges most of it offencive firepower for a better flightperformance. It is in comparisson to other planes in ist class also rather limited in armor, beeing limited to 4x MGs and 1x cannon with limited ammo. In AIR RB it can stay at 3.0 i suppose, as a bomber hunter with Minengeschoss.

Just like gaijin once intended. The plane can be used in Ground attack with the Bk 37, however is limited to HVAP, which is quite bad, Overall it is realtively ok, somewhat slow and big for where it is.

Hs 129 B-2 GRB (Mainly Ground) 2.3 → 2.0 while the Offencive Firepower is good, it has no defencive armarment and is quite slow with usually 250-300 km/h, especially in an uptier to 3.3 the power increase to other planes is extreme and the Hs 129 cant even escape, escaping from Biplanes (like the russian ones) is even complicated).

Because 104G can napalm a base while 104J can’t.
Looking at how they increased Q-5 up to 10.0, I think there’s enough evidence that the said “balancing” is not around how it does in PVP, is it broken or does it struggle, but in the average SL and RP gain.

Do 217 J-2 (Ground and Air) 2.3 → 2.0 it is simply a J-1 (already 2.0) with the only difference beeing having an useless radar and changing the camo from black to white with black spots.

True. 8.0 could work, but it still feels a little strong for 8.0
