laser doesnt really make a difference with the 20mm. it historically wasnt equipped with one either.
it being 8.7 together with bmp-2 would not make sense.
because 9 pops of countermeasures, no missiles and 23mm water guns with low ammo count are a op combination. -gaijin

It’s too strong for 9.7, and France’s other 9.7 vehicles aren’t, that’s all there is to it.
Kurnass 2000 is 12.3 with 6 pythons…

The AMX-40 basically has no armor, and aside from its mobility, it’s not particularly strong compared to other 9.7 vehicles. If it’s just because of the 20mm autocannon, then the AMX-32 and AMX-32 (105) should all be moved to 9.7 or even 10.0 as well—after all, they’re pretty much the same. But if that happens, no one would want to play France anymore. Would that really be better?

its top tier mbt mobility with 9.3 firepower at 9.7. if it was classified as a light tank it would be 10.0 already and pushing 10.3.

Hmmm still no justice for german F-104 and german F-4F They are both on 11.0, and it’s so fun to play against planes with all-angle rockets and radar rockets while having just AIM-9J. This is such a disaster.

its one of those vehicles that can be uptiered infinitely and it wont suffer.
You wanna look at Tornado GR.4, HRR GR.7 and JH-7A as well, what are these CAS doing in 12.3, ARB
the GR.7 could be 12.0, but 11.7 because its a better plane than the A-10C. GR.4 could be 11.7
JH-7A should be 12.0 as well, you can even make a case for it being 11.7 considering its better than the already overtiered tornado

Are you nuts? It has a better gun, better acceleration, better armor, it’s literally straight up better than the T-55A. Even when compared to the T-55AM-1, it has a better gun and still slightly better acceleration while also retaining the amazing 14.5 gun for anti-air duties. It even has a good APFSDS round (the stock one) with proper post-pen and angled pen unlike the T-55 APFSDS that is literally is as good as an APDS. It will not struggle at all at 9.0, it has great characteristics all-around the border.

Vehicle: Phantom FG.1/F4j(UK)
Change: BR from 12.0 > 11.7
Reason: underwhelming compared to Phantoms such as F4S/J(US) and the same BR as Tornado F.3 which is a superior aircraft rendering them pointless.
Mode: Air realistic
Vehicle: Phantom FGR2
Change: Addition of AIM9L and keep at the current BR 12.0
Reason: to be competitive at 12.0, to differentiate British tree phantoms rather than having functionally three of the same aircraft at one BR.
