The early Flankers have a subpar RWR and radar, yet carry a large number of decent missiles (R-73 and R-27ER, mainly). With the rising prevalence of ARH missiles at 13.0, I think this should be bumped down to help counter AMRAAM’s and Derby’s. Remember, R-27ER’s are SARH missiles. You can only engage one target at a time, and need to stay more or less pointed at the target. This means the Su-27 is incredibly vulnerable to ARH missiles, and it is currently expected to fight them 100% of the time. 13.0 would give it a little breathing room.
Change: 10.7→ 10.3
OR
10.7→ 11.0 AND give it countermeasures
Reasoning: This is a really weird artifact in the China tech tree but for some reason a 104G that has no CM is at 10.7 while other 104Gs of other nations sit at 11.0 with CM. The next comparable 104 is the 104J which sits at 10.3 and while flareless/chaffless, it gets 2 more sidewinders and has access to AIM-9P sidewinders which allow radar slaving and thus have better utility.
Would agree, but tornado fully spaded actually can do some decent work against even mirages. I would recommend keeping it at its current br and giving each one some buffs. Also all tornados currently have a inaccurate flight model, IRL they have higher speed and much less drag
What is needed is a 13.3 bracket not make 13.0 even more compressed. Especially as Redfor with the F4F-iCE is the most dominant ARH slinger of the BR range. WIth equals like the Tornado F3 still at 13.3.
Agree I’m honestly pretty bad at any radar missile gameplay but it doesn’t feel that fair or fun fighting them in a heat seeking only plane and feels like I must put way more effort to get a kill than they have to.
AMX-M4 And AMX-13 At 7.0 ?!?! Are you insane ? Do you Mean to tell me that the M4 is better than a King Tiger ? and that the AMX-13 needs to be at 7.0 but the M41 is perfectly ok at 6.3 while it’s better in every single way ? What do you have against French Mains Gaijin ?
With the changes to the Russian aircraft, one other that should be changed is the SU22M3.
Yes it’s a squadron vehicle but the lack of countermeasures makes it impossible to play at its Br. There is nothing initially wrong with the battle rating, but the threats from other aircraft is the problem. But with the addition of its side mounted countermeasures it is able to keep up with the aircraft at its tier.
Reasoning: At its BR of 10.7 it has no line up can be uptired to 11.0-11.7 where its armor is rendered absolutely useless even some vehicles at 9.3 can go right through the turret armor. The only real advantage it has is its speed its armor is mediocre and its best APFSDS round is not very good compared to most vehicles at its BR and below its BR
Type 81, in what world does that go up?
This was introduced at what, 10.0?
Since then a lot more jets have been added that far outrange it whilst it’s complete dogwater, expected to go against jets that launch things from 10-20km away whilst it cannot get a lock beyond 5km, and lacks a radar to even detect them.
Absolutely mental to pretend this is on par with the Pantsir.
I think all F-104Gs, and F-104Ss need a 0.3/0.4 BR decrease, their only tool is speed and acceleration and at their current BRs it’s not a big enough advantage to balance their lacklustre missile load outs. The Italian F-104G, while having CMs, has only 2 very mediocre for 11.0 Aim-9Js. That thing faces 12.0 vehicles with look down radars, all aspect missiles, and solid SARH missiles that you have no hope of dodging in the 104 if they get an MTI or PD lock.
Reasoning: Despite having a good top speed and reverse gear, the acceleration on any path other than concrete road feels like a medium tank. The firepower is also relatively poor with M61, there is no reason to put it at 5.3 (If you compare to M24, simply having a good top speed doesn’t justify 1.6 BR gap)
Mediocre turn performance is praising the tornados a bit too much. As the 11.7 tornados currently stand, as bad as the planes were before Hornet’s sting, they now face the premium hoarde of 12.7 F-18s
