The vessel has been at BR 3.7 for several years since its original release in the old TT, I was to original make a post talking about this years ago & to talk about the RP requirements yet here we’re double the costs.
The vessel sits at 3.7 in a place with not much of a lineup bar the JDS Isuzu DE-211 & the far superior recent addition of the much cheaper Matsu class Light Destroyer which basically does everything it does but better, ntm it has a third cannon, more LAA & four 410 mm torpedoes.
The Chidori is honestly over BR’ed, it could be a 3.3 an wouldn’t be OP, it’s also the late war refit as seen by the lose of the afterwards third 120 mm cannon & only has two torpedoes (gaijin please may it receive the reload back again if you now model the torpedoes on the rails between the funnel).
Preferrably 12.3 for top ground as well, not a lot of candidates neccessary like there is really only L2A7V/HU/122, T-80BVM, S1 and kind of type 10 that actually needs an extra BR
Im not a fan of adding cold war vehicles to WW2 BRs either and M44 shouldnt have been added in the first place either but unlike the cancer wagons with laser ramgefinders, M44 would be useless at these BRs.
Town class (1940) destroyer HMS Churchill I45BR 3.3 to 3.0
I was about to suggest an ability to get this before 2.45 dropped yet (moved to coastal TT), this will do instead.
The vessel could easily fall into similar lines as the Project 2 Guardship SKR Groza, the Churchill is a convoy escort so they lack of main armament makes sense.
A reduction to 3.0 would allow it some more flexibility over other destroyers.
Vehicle: Chinese top tier MBTs(ZTZ99A, WZ, VT4)
Gamemode and BR: GRB/GAB/GSB, BR Unchanged
Additional changes: Reload rate from 7.1s to 6.5s
The lack of both pen and reload make the tank(s) that has decent armor deemed ineffective for frontline gameplay. It is outmatched in protection or surviability by some opponents as well.
Ill be entirely Honest, i don’t think the FV4030 should go up.
A Worse armored version of the Challenger Mk2? At only .3 BR bellow it? With No Thermals?
Take the L23 away from it, fix L15A5, and keep it at 9.7.
A Properly working L15A5, that isn’t a copy and Paste L15A3 would make it entirely viable at 9.7. And considering the 4030 was designed about FIVE YEARS! before L23 entered service? I think its a very justifiable change.
Reasoning:
This plane is clearly in the wrong place; it doesn’t differ too much from a me-163 while being in a br where they cannot even face each other. If you’re fling a prop is practically untouchable; for example even in planes like the early variants of the me-262 is very hard to just run away from it, getting guns on is incredibly unlikely.
I can’t see how 6.7 it’s fair for this plane, it needs to go up of at least one whole br.
Vehicle: Early CR2s(CR2/CR2F/CR2TES/CR2OES)
Gamemode and BR: 11.7 to 11.3 in GRB/GAB/GSB
Additional changes: first order ROF from 6.5s/5.0s to 5.2s/4.0s
Every western MBT outside of the leopard 2 now has a 5 second reload, mitigating the only advantage on challengers. Being inferior in protection, mobility and firepower, the tank has no business at top tier.
probably its coastal spawn
you’re very close to the action seconds after spawning and a 100mm shell or two will easily pop most things you’d run into whilst being able to absorb quite a lot of fire from the sort of threats you encounter in the coastal brawl
you mention Groza being the same BR, im fairly certain it has to spawn with the destroyers (dont have it myself), but i would expect it to be as much of a speedboat culling machine as the Marne if it got to spawn further forward as well
The catch is to rerate this warship as a destroyer so secondary & tertiary armament doesn’t fire on it from other destroyers in game.
This is quite a powerful destroyer even if incorrectly labelled a frigate, the vessel might still use WWII cannons, but with three of them it can be potent.
It would also be a nerf if they make 3"/50 Mk. 22 cannons not a belt feed cannon type, as that’s not what these cannons were & fired single shells, the nerf would be the whole empty magazines with two belts trick heh heh heh.
Mode: Naval AB/RB
BR Change: BR decompression; move the max BR bracket to 7.0 for coastal and 10.0 for bluewater.
Given the fact that Naval is overcompressed (can be clearly seen in coastal and end-of-the-line bluewater ships), and guided missile destroyers/cruisers are still a far cry, it wouldn’t be a big harm to stretch the maximum bracket to 10.0, knowing that end-of-the-line battleships/battlecruisers (7.0) are immune to light/heavy cruisers at 6.0, but still somewhat killable by 6.7+ battleships (except for Scharnhorst, of course, duh). With this BR decompression, destroyers could finally fight fellow destroyers without the fear of getting royally screwed by some god-knows cruisers.
With this logic, Gaijin can also extend coastal’s maximum BR to 7.0, in order to reduce the imbalance between small boats (anything under 500 tons and with PT boat DM) and “corvettes” (anything above 500 tons with corvette DM). Other than damage model difference, there’s also a significant technology gap (or more accurately, firepower gap) between 3.3 and 4.0+ boats. In a lot of cases, this phenomenon can be seen at a lower BR bracket; 2.7 and 3.7 respectively had a stark difference in technology and/or firepower (see Albatross vs SF40 Light, Pr.204 vs Pr.1204 (l), PG02 vs Type T-51b, and so on). Simply put, I don’t want to fight Pr.12412 in my Pr.183, and other players wouldn’t want to fight my Pr.12412 in their Pr.183.
I’m also sure that most naval coastal players had their own grudge against corvettes, especially when fighting them in their small PT boats. Some “sub-chasers” had this god-tier destroyer-like DM where only by hitting their engine or bridge would it do any damage. Thus, it would be optimal to separate the small coastal boats from the big coastal boats through BR decompression.
(finally, a coastal-only mode would be very much appreciated.)
The amount of times this argument is used no longer makes it a rarity. “Look, if we make the two A-10s unless, and the Su-25s, and then the two F-14s…then we are doing good. Because yeah we are only ruining one vehicle”. Sorry but not. Learn to do something othe than flying low and left; the tactic about 98% of playerbase does because its easier to cry “its too OP” than learn how to counter.
We can lower all of those vehicles back to their original BRs and the game will be fine. You might just have to use a bit more strategy but that’s a better precedent than ruining vehicles people spent the effort to unlock and enjoy.
Yeah but tell that to the King Tiger in 7.0 or in RB case 6.7 nonstop facing cold war stuff… and laser rangefinders. I don’t think at this point this should be a problem… M44 belongs to 7.0-8.0 no question… The ammo what it’s using was only available first in Korean war…
