Planned Battle Rating Changes (August 2026)

Wyvern to 5.3? Isn’t it punished enough already? 4.7 was ok.

I wish they’d close this topic. It’s exhausting.

I just want to see the new iteration. The discussions can go on lol

And then completely nuke 8.0 because of the Leopard swarm.

I agree. I have a feeling they’ll ignore most of this. It’s already over.

Best Joke of the Day

I’m more worried about all the 2.7s that will have to deal with M44s, M55s and the Su-152
Or the 2.3s that will meet the Hummel

Churchill VIIs fighting IS-2s will also be very… interesting

And surely everyone will enjoy the results of all those other 155mm howitzers going down in BR

You know, with Gaijin removing the Ho-Ri, maybe now is the perfect time to also remove the Chinese M10 and the Chinese T-34 Obr 43. Just considering that both of them are ahistorical, with the 76 just never being used by China at all and the M10 being sold to the ROC sans armament (hence why they modified them with the Type 91 Pack Howitzer). If we’re removing stuff because it’s ahistorical, then I think clearly both of those should also get pulled.

Vehicle: Sd.Kfz.234/4 (Germany)
Game mode: RB
Battle rating: 4.7 to 4.3

germ_sdkfz_234_4

1. The Sd.Kfz.234/4 shares the same chassis as the regular Puma (Sd.Kfz.234/2 at BR 3.7). Any tank capable of destroying a standard Puma can easily destroy a “Pak Puma” Sd.Kfz.234/4. However, the Pak Puma suffers from severe tactical limitations:

  • a. The Sd.Kfz.234/4 cannot be driven in reverse towards the enemy to use its rear engine as a shield to absorb shells, because it lacks a 360-degree rotating turret.
  • b. While the Sd.Kfz.234/2 features a fully enclosed turret that grants the crew basic protection against low-caliber HE shells or near misses, the Sd.Kfz.234/4 is open-top. This makes it extremely vulnerable to severe damage or overpressure. It can be easily strafed by aircraft or pinned down by small-caliber machine guns from both tanks and planes, whereas the standard Puma would take little to no damage.
  • c. If the Pak Puma Sd.Kfz.234/4 is immobilized due to transmission or engine failure and the enemy falls outside its limited horizontal gun arc, it becomes completely defenseless. In contrast, the standard Puma can still rotate its turret 360 degrees to return fire (even if with a smaller caliber gun).
  • d. It lacks emergency smoke grenade launchers. This creates a worst-case scenario when immobilized: the vehicle’s only defensive option is to manually fire smoke shells, provided the gun happens to be facing a useful direction.

2. The weapon is a 7.5 cm PaK40/3 L46. This gun is already available at BR 3.0 on the Marder III H, meaning it is not a modified, more powerful variant, nor does it fire better ammunition. Let’s analyze the stats of the vehicles using this gun:

  • Marder III H (BR 3.0):
    • Reload (Basic crew → Ace): 6.5s → 5.0s
    • Vertical guidance: -9° / +9°
    • Horizontal guidance: -28° / +28°
  • Sd.Kfz.251/22 (BR 3.0):
    • Reload (Basic crew → Ace): 7.6s → 5.9s
    • Vertical guidance: -6° / +22°
    • Horizontal guidance: -22° / +22°
  • Sd.Kfz.234/4 (BR 4.7):
    • Reload (Basic crew → Ace): 7.6s → 5.9s
    • Vertical guidance: -5° / +22°
    • Horizontal guidance: -20° / +20°

As we can see, it features the worst gun depression (-5°) and the worst horizontal guidance compared to its BR 3.0 counterparts. Due to this heavily restricted gun depression, it cannot exploit hull-down positions like its little brother, the Puma Sd.Kfz.234/2, which boasts a much better -10° depression.

3. The Pak Puma is currently the only German ground vehicle at BR 4.7, meaning it has a non-existent ground lineup. At best, it can only be paired with aircraft like the Bf 109 G-6, the Pucará (which is moving to BR 4.7), a few bombers, or for the bolder players, the Bf 109 Z.

I believe a temporary or trial BR adjustment to 4.3 would be reasonable to see how it performs against the other “monsters” that various nations already field at that Battle Rating. In my opinion, it would be an interesting experiment.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to read this post :)

I welcome any feedback :)

I played MKK on release when it could still see Rafale. Its perfectly fine.

i spaded F-16C and F-15C and that wasnt the case at all. full uptiers were rare, most of my matches were dragged down to the Su-30 BRs.

Let’s not go overboard, there are dozens of vehicles that would have to be hidden, if we go that far

Though I agree, either all ahistorical stuff is bad, or none of it is. I would rather have the ahistorical stuff stay, than to have all of it be hidden (or even entirely removed).

Not really, if you think about it. With the two Chinese examples I gave, the T-34 Obr 43 was never used by China and was added based on the fact there’s a single tank in a Chinese Museum. In actuality, the vehicle is likely an example from NK. I suppose the best option would be to keep it, but reflag it and remove it when the United Korea TT pops up.

As for the M10, I wouldn’t advocate for its full removal; rather, I’d like to see Gaijin remodel it as they did for the CV90. That way we get an actual unique and correct vehicle out of it, and the M10 can stay in the TT. In general, this is the option that I favor, and what I think should be done with the Ho-Ri Prototype.

Air RB
Sea Harrier FA.2

13.0 → 12.7

it is by far the worst plane at 13.0
yes it gets amraams, but you need to be within 15km or less for them to actually be of any use, and if you want to bring more missiles you lose your boll pods just so you can bring extra aim-9Ms which you’re not fast enough to use them in a dogfight, and if you use the centerline missiles so you have more than 2 missiles and the bol pods you lose your guns which is necessary
it has no flight performance, no defense, a little bit of offense

Maybe its just me, but something should be done about the Yak-3 meta. This plane never runs out of steam and outspeeds / climbs everything. The 20mm ammunition seems to onetap/cripple.

So, RB Air:

Yak-3P 5.0 to 5.7

Yak-3U 5.7 to 6.3

I know the statcard values don’t look stellar. Just two guns etc. But ingame simply unstoppable, at any relevant altitude.

The T-72B3A deserves 12.0>11.7 low efficiency on this b.r., and differs from the T-72B3 Arena by a whole unit of b.r. higher, only by an additional relic on the sides, a larger number of tanks, by only 4 pcs. and a more powerful engine (by 290 hp only), that the same T-72B3 UBX 11.3. (due to the CAS b.r. 0.7 higher, this buries it in most cases by 12.0)

Reworks and corrections are completely fine. There are plenty of vehicles that could use some corrections lol
A couple examples would be:

  • WTs own Wiki states that the Sherman III/IV should use a Sherman Ib hull, not a Sherman IV hull
  • Afaik the Lago I should have Hungarian weapons instead of Swedish ones
  • I’ve also read multiple times that the Object 122MTs name is wrong, apparently the 122MT is a different variant and the name should use the Chinese nomenclature, rather than the Soviet one

Phantom FGR.2
F-4J Phantom II

12.0 → 12.0

just give them a better stock loadout, just 2 AIM-9D does not work
give it 2 AIM-7E or something at the least so it can stand somewhat of a chance
other 12.0 aircraft like the Tornado F.3/ADV get 2 aim-9L + 2 Skyflash, JA37D gets skyflash with rb24J
there are probably some other 12.0 aircraft that need to be looked at considering they constantly need to combat 13.0 ARH aircraft or contend against arcraft from 12.7 up with AIM-9M and counterparts

They really need something better as their starter loadout.
AIM-9Ds at that BR are an actual joke and all of these Phantoms need to research the double AIM-9D pylons before they can even get AIM-9Gs. The first AIM-7s are tier III modifications.

T1E1? Jumbo 75? T1E1(90)? Jumbo 76?

Hell even the T34, T26E1-1, T32, T32E1 are all solid heavy tanks.

It’s one of the best 6.7 heavy tanks, I don’t know what you are smoking with that “isn’t a good tank”.

T29 is only 7.0 because it’s a premium, there is a reason why they nerfed it’s reload a while ago.

13.7 has always been uptier prone for me too, but that might be because my matchmaking is just cursed.
