Planned Battle Rating Changes (August 2026)

Unfortunately in infinite gaijin’s wisdom same later LASER guided weaponry doesn’t have limit from what distance you can lase for it. It has only limit on seeker from what distance it can pick up lased target. You could shoot them off by GNSS and guide them at target while being dozens KMs away from any SPAA…

Gnss weaponry I guess. Considering non gnss kh29l, kh25ml and agm65e2 are all capped to 10km despite having more range than that.

I dont know how to feel about it without kh38mls tho. Its not even sidegrade then, its just worse than su39 which is going to 11.7. I dont think thermals are worth losing 2 kh25mpu, 2 kh31p (kh58u isnt even close), 16 vikhrs, 2 r60m (useful to bait out some flares) and kopyo pod.
2 kh29t/2 kh58u, 4 kh25ml and 2 r73 on subsonic airframe seems meh for 11.7. F111f at 11.7 has much more speed and 8 ir fnf munitions which are almost guaranteed 8/8 kills in downtiers.

KH‑29 is objectively weaker than any IR/IIR AGM – it’s TV‑guided, no thermal. At 12.0, the matchmaker is full of wallet warriors, and SPAA quality is usually terrible.

And that “range advantage” you keep bringing up? That won’t work for pop-up attack ,which is the most common way to cas– you fly low and pull up vertically into the radar blind spot, so range doesn’t even matter. Also, you say the F/A‑18 only gets 4 Mavericks? Well, killing 4 targets is still better than killing 1~2 – because with TV seekers you often can’t lock anything at all. Even Mavericks can get kill if it comes from the top.

I agree the A-10C and AV-8B+ are bad, but at this BR with so many wallet warriors, they’re still better in practice than the TV‑guided but high‑speed, long‑range, high‑performance KH‑29TD. I admit lacking Fox‑3 AAMs is a downside, but since it’s for ground attack, it’s not that big of an issue.

Saying the Su‑27SM isn’t over‑tiered – show me the evidence.

My original idea for it was to be 11.3 and be foldered with su-25T. IT IS unfortunately no more than a sidegrade of su-25s.
Was thinking that 11.7 might not be the worst place to start for it.

Fair enough – F/A-18C Early does have worse flight performance, A2A, and KH‑59 is MITL. But the Su‑30 and MiG‑29 have their own flaw: TV‑only AGMs, no thermal. Both sides are flawed, so these imperfect jets belong at 12.0 , not higher.

Block 20??? I assume you are trying to say that the PoBIT should stay at 14.3 while the Block 72 goes down to 14.0

Both planes are completely homeless in ARB at their current battle ratings, the differences between them are frankly minor compared to the massive gap in both vehicle capability that exists between these two planes and the rest of 14.3

Trying to equate an ARH + IRCCM capable airframe with KH31 and KH29 versus a sparrow + 9L airframe with the single shittiest FnF munition and second shittiest ARM in the game just because the latter gets a targeting pod is absurd.

its not blk70/72.

its a old block 20 upgraded with avionics of the block 72
its still get the weak engines of blk20.
basicly you got the 13.3 MLU in 14.3 with a aesa radar.

while the pobit is block 50

My point still stands, neither plane is competitive at all at 14.3, and the PoBIT is a block 52 since it uses a different(effectively weaker) engine compared to the block 50.

your point doesnt stand. pobit is far great in 14.3 than the F16V at 14.3
the other 14.3 like the F15cge need to go up.

the F16V has weaker engines and worst RWR than the pobit.
its the pobit that should stay in 14.3 not the F16V

Correction, Italy has 2 TT Fireflies. The British only have 1 TT Firefly. The other 2 are premium.

its a BLK52 with a better engine, not to mention the POBIT has the IVEWS system which is a onboard jamming system. This means when ECM comes the POBIT will have an advantage over other airframes.

pobit or the V ?

pobit is either block 30 or 40. thats what the war thunder wiki says.
while the F16V is a block 20 MLU with block 72 avionics

correction: block 30 were the fire wave of the upgrades. laster came the block 40 and 50 upgrades.

The POBIT, its been upgraded with a better engine over the base model BLK 50s along with all the other specs.

  1. 16V and PoBIT have functionally the same rwr for air RB, they have the same coverage for all a2a radars and missiles, with the one difference being that the PoBIT can detect K-band locks from the Pantsir/OTOMATIC and the C band search radar on the Roland
  2. F-16CM PoBIT is not good at all at 14.3, even with a better engine. Unless you are thinking of moving the J-10C, F-18E, F-15C GE, Su-30SM, and the mech scan EF2K up to 14.7?

Vehicle: F5E/F5E(China AND Germany) or F5E FCU F5T SCU
Gamemode: Ground Simulator Battles
BR Change: 11.3->11.0 for f5e (US CHN GER) OR 11.3→11.7 for f5e FCU and F5T SCU
Reason: SCI is a very effective CAS aid. It allows pilots to pre‑aim at the target while flying at high altitude, instead of having to lock on during the dive attack – greatly improving CAS efficiency. Meanwhile, the two Japanese F‑5Es not only have SCI but are also equipped with three powerful missiles: AIM‑9L, AIM‑9P4, and Python‑3. Their combat effectiveness is clearly superior to that of the basic F‑5E variants used by the US, China, and Germany

more than one band thats for sure.

j10c / eft / f18e / su30sm dont need to go up. unless decompression.

as for the F15c GE yes it need to go up.

It also includes Germany’s F-5E.

This still doesn’t change the flight performance because the range is still the same and ultimately relies on environment and target you’re launching at.

Launching a couple agms back to back doesn’t do much as the last agm launched is not meaningfully far from the first thus resulting in the same issues.

Launching a couple of agms in 2-3s can increase the chance of a hit but that comes at the cost of flight time. This is assuming that you are in the air maintaining a constant laze. If you are trying to do IOG then laze, you’ll still need to popup early enough for the first agm to react in time or it’ll just be a waste.

But like you said, you’ll need continuous firings (which isn’t a guarantee) to get a hit, so to say that a single hellfire is all that is needed to take out a tank isn’t really true if you need multiple to maybe get a hit. With this logic I can easily say that all I need is a single AKD-9 to take out a tank because it is technically possible. the hellfires perform against against a stationary target in the open but if that was the standard, then it means that hellfires are better than vikhrs.

So the question is what matters more? Reliability or damage? Assuming the Z-19 carries 12 BA-9 + 4 TY-90 and the Apache has 16 hellfires + 4 stingers + cannon, which does better in those categories? The Apache can theoretically do more damage than the Z-19 but how often is that the case?

Stingers that have no proxy and doesn’t turn as hard isn’t that reliable. Hellfires need to be launched sequentially to maybe score a hit. And the cannon is only good defensibly when the enemy is going directly towards you.

Where as the TY-90s are much better at taking out air targets. The BA-9 can reliably score hits but it’s weak at damage. Penetration isn’t really an issue since it comes at an angle and is tandem but it’s post pen damage is weak. This can be overcame by launching two consecutively but I find that one is enough for soviet-style tanks. It having no cannon makes it easy for jets to get close but what is not considered is how nimble the Z-19 is.

This is true however I’m unsure what helicopters you think need to go down in BR. Keep in mind post BR change, the 64D is at 11.7 and the Viper is at 12.0. Both of these being not too better than the 64A. The Ka52 is also in the same boat. Though it is the best 12.0 heli, it is equally as vulnerable to these IR spaas as other helis that don’t have LDIRCM.

The Apaches isn’t going down because of the IR spaa. IMO it’s going down because it’s just a unreliable heli to be in for the reasons I mentioned earlier and it’s reflected in it’s stats.

Don’t get me wrong, this is gonna make helis a lot more compressed around this BR so I’m mainly against it because they are doing everything but fix hellfires.

Vehicle: t26e5
Gamemode: ground realistic
BR Change: 6.7 → 6.7
Reason: it should stay at its current battle rating because it would face cold war tanks at 8.0 if you wanted to move any of the m/t26s it should be the m26 to 6.3
