Sm2 in a vacuum is likely the superior one, you have an insane gimbal on the radar, acceptable flight performance, enough missiles to iron dome the entire rafale loadout, and large caliber countermeasures.
I have top tier USA, Israel, Sweden and Germany. I’m not saying I’m good at the game but I have at least flown a lot of different vehicles.
Air AB, French F-100D and Chinese F-100A 9.7 > 9.3 : like the american one which is better thanks to its Aim9E and is 9.3 since years!
Ah, I see. You’ll have a disconnect of how to see things if you’re not playing toptier and try to look at the statistics from the perspective of someone who hasn’t faced any of the planes.
Air AB, American, Italian and French F-84F 9.0 > 8.7 : same BR as the israeli and german ones which are identical. Terrible flight performance for a 9.0 aircraft. This inconsistency is in the game since these vehicles were added!

Air AB, Mystere IVA 9.0 > 8.7 (France and Israel) : it has no IR missiles, no afterburner and worst aerodynamics compare to the Super Mystere B2 which is also 9.0. The 30mm canons are good but 8.0 F-86s have better flight performance and its energy retention is terrible. The comparison is even worse with a 8.3 Javelin or Scimitar which have better firepower AND flight caracteristics !

I die to Rafales more at top tier more than any other vehicle.
Air AB, Vautour IIB and Vautour IIA 9.7 → 9.3 (France and Israel) : abyssmal flight performance at for this BR you can’t avoid the fighters you face going mach 1, and dodging a missile is physically not possible in this plane.

Air AB, Yak-38 (the standard one and the M variant) 9.3 → 9.7 : insanely good missiles for its BR (R60s!).
Air AB, Ki-84 hei 7.7 > 7.0. : 7.7 is way too high for a prop plane with poor top speed.
Rafale has higher winrates than the Su-30SM2 for some of the same reasons that the British AESA EFT has higher statistics than the German AESA EFTs. Take a look at the stats again from that perspective.
Air AB All the Ki-49s 3.3 > 3.0 & 3.7 > 3.3 : poorly armored bombers with small bomb loads and average speed compare to other nations at the same Brs.

If it had the same radar it would probably be the same.
Ground AB, E.B.R. (1951) 4.7 > 4.3 : useless gun at its BR and no line-up to bring with it.

You’re not serious are you? The German EFT having 10 degrees less per side and STILL being able to guide missiles while notching isn’t a game changer.
What causes the German EFT and Su-30SM2 to have much lower stats is that they’re on both teams, averaging out the stats.
Ground AB & RB, MEPHISTO 8.7 > 9.0 with the addition of HOT-3 missiles it historically carried : really similar to the chinese AFT-09 which is literally a copy of it. Moving it also at 9.0 allows it to be a good support for the 9.3 lineup. There are already 4 ground vehicles at 8.7 at the moment and none at 9.0 in the french tree.

No it’s just that german teams are chronically bad, I see this with my own eyes when playing it.
Radar having 10° less azimuth doesn’t account for the player dying 2 minutes into the match.

Jaguar A and Super Etendard : move the magic missile modification from tier IV to tier I.
These aircrafts can’t survive without them at their BR.
I don’t think that is the reason. I would say it’s more of a player base issue.
