Why is the T26E5 being moved to 7.0? It has a M3 90mm with APHE that only pens 185mm at 10 meters. It has thick armor, but the gun forces it to be a passive vehicle in most upteirs to 7.0, 7.3, and 7.7.
It struggles against most head-on engagements with heavy tanks, even at its battle rating of 6.7. The tank often relies on the use of APCR to do any damage.
This strikes me as odd considering you are separating it from many of its counterpart vehicles like the Tiger II Nr.1-50, and all of the IS-2 tanks which are being lowered to either 6.3 or 6.0.
The tanks is now more likely to fight 7.3, 7.7, and 8.0 tanks. How is a T26E5 vs. an IS-3, T-10A, IS-4M, T-55O, Vickers Mk.1, or Centurion Mk.10 a fair fight? All of those tanks have significantly better guns and stabilizers with ammunition that will make mince meat of the tank. APCR wont even frontally work on any many of these tanks listed.
This is simply an unfair change to its battle rating regardless of what win rates tell you.
You can only hand hold german teams so much. Its already annoying fighting Ferdinands or Tiger II H’s with APCR and a hope and a prayer. At least when the T29 was moved to 7.0 it had a gun capable of doing damage to 8.0 vehicles.
I imagine the only thing holding it back previously was controller using players who have a significant disadvantage. Completely justified anger though.
fun fact the YAK 130 still is on 9.3 instead to be on 11… at least on ground… AMAZING…
the same with the pay to win J-22M1A … aw seit… are in Russia… thats why…
Rationale
The Jgpz.IV gets to have good armor, a fairly uptier-resistant gun, and still has fair mobility for quickly reacting to threats outside the gun’s traverse range. Against 3.3 vehicles, its too strong. It would still fair decent at 4.7, though I think a compensatory reload buff is reasonable to help it settle into a higher BR.
5.7? A-1H at 5.7 ground? Are you actually demented? It is literally extremely powerful with Zunis because of how easy Zunis are to aim even without CCIP at 1 km away…
Rationale
The presence of the large UFP weak spot on the Pz.IV/70(A) does warrant a lower BR than the Pz.IV/70(V), but to be over a full BR range lower is excessive. Since the fighting compartment is taller than that of the Panzer IV/70(V), a reload buff is reasonable to help justify its move to a higher BR.
I’m asking just for clarification: Alicat pilots are now being asked to, in an F-14A with 60 countermeasures, a radar worse than the Su30MK2 (and ours only has a head-on TWS mode) and a suit of secondary weapons that were already behind the curve at 13.0 (the 12.7 F/A-18C gets a far superior radar and much better SARHs) and rear-aspect flare hungry AIM-7Ps for dogfight missiles against Rafales, EF-2000 ASAs, and late model F-16s, 15s, and Gripens?
Presumably, and I’m sorry if I’m wrong, all because of the hysteria by a few new pilots who cannot dodge a Fakour, and others who know nothing of the Alicat but its killed them several times’?
For the sake of gameplay, my suggestion is this: Fully upgrade the F-14A IRIAF to the F-14AM stats given by Iran including a modernized Iranian built radar, and 120 countermeasures, as well as adding the R-73 to give it a fighting chance at a BR where almost no one uses SARH missiles anymore and everyone has all aspect IR. As it is, supposedly only the F-14AM can carry Fakours and use Sedjil anyway.
Or…nerf the Fakours some and drop it back to 13.0.
Forgive me for saying this but, otherwise? Please just take the plane out of the game. It’ll be a ‘paperweight’ as is that no one will fly after a while.
I love this plane to death & I don’t want to lose her.
but is agile?
is fast?
your only think of zuni… and not the picture…
when you have a YAK-9 with 37 cannon decimates you… and can really dogfight… and win…
when you have the 50canon 262 get lower… even with the BUFF last patch… that now shoots accurate…and has the speed and can run…
only zunis cant give it a stay where you are ticket… the same time the same airplane/airframe/ engine and all… AD2 gets on 5.3 … or is weak… that ? cause zunis…
so thats the problem… many of you see 1 thing not the full package having 1 good does not make it better airplane… to be on high brs the same time … that can be countered very very very very easy…
i got many of AH1 on my spit (4.7) on my zero… on my ki-84… on my even 109 k… so what is the problem… ohh has zunis…
as my experience with the AH 1 is terrible… and i prefer the F2G… when i can get one airplane out… is more effective agile and can do things… instead the AH1 be a free kill…
yesterday … i took down with ostwing 2 … the AH1 that shot at me from 1 km he did not hit me… or even did any kind of damage.
i got him. i won the fight. simple
Even then it’s going to be coming up against Rafales and AESA Typhoons - Iran claims 120 countermeasures, and a very well upgraded AWG-9 (probably made with Russian help)
TBH I’d really just rather see this & the Fakours nerfed to AIM-54C+ stats, and the plane dropped back to 13.0
IDEA return in the game ALL THOSE VEHICLES that are fake and was in the game…
and in return… DONT REMOVE THE OSTWING 2 that is fake as well… aaaa great deal? is not?
cause as far as we know… the ostwing 2 is a fake anti air and never manufactured…
and is in the tech tree and in a premium pack!!! great?!
dont remove the HO RI… and just bring back all those people want to play… and cant cause removed… status and die from them… simple as that problem solved…
the game is not realistic enough to be that accurate so …
Just because its flight performance is bad doesn’t mean it should be at low BR when it has a payload that can wipe the floor by itself. By your logic A-10A should go a whole lot lower because it’s slow… or better yet, lower the Thai L-39 to 6.3…
Arcade Battle BR: 6.7 → 6.3 (Same as planned change)
Remove BR-471D (APCBC)
Rationale
The IS-2 '44 BR decrease was long overdue, but this means the somewhat asynchronous BR-471D round from the 50’s is no longer needed. This round should be reserved for the addition of the IS-2M later down the road.
I’m still amazed they haven’t removed the AC IV for being a wooden vehicle.
This is the furthest the Aussies got to a completed vehicle. Unless you want to count the E2 17-Pdr turret test-bed, but that’s still pretty far removed from the AC IV.
