How is the ‘Sweden Tech Tree’, especially after the introduction of Finland into it, still on Team A in brackets 1 to 6 in Ground Simulator Battles? If the PRC+ROC TT is on Team A in said brackets for having a principal opponent on Team B, how is it that the Swe+Fin TT is fighting alongside their principal opponent in these brackets?
Even in the interest of overall game balance at the expense of historicity, moving that tree to Team B makes sense. The historical authenticity of the mode may not be the highest priority in order for there to be appeal to both teams, but it has gone past what many may consider acceptable with the introduction of out-of-era vehicles to the teams in those brackets such as M44/M55.
The foremost solution would be to simply move the Swe+Fin TT into Team B in brackets 1 to 6, as-is. There are vehicle assignments in certain brackets that are disruptive in the current state of the mode, different to the point raised earlier in that they are not out-of-era, but this issue should be addressed first.
Another solution would be to split the Finnish branch from that TT into its own tree, assigned to Team B, and removing that original tree from brackets 1 to 6. The second proposal is impractical and would obviously remove the ability for those vehicles to be played in a section of the mode where they are appropriate in gameplay terms. It would also incur another hit to historicity given Sweden’s relationship with Finland and others in various ways around the time of the relevant conflicts.
