Description: The Piaggio P50 I was an Italian four engine that was made before the ww2 . The project started back in 1935. It was based on a previous prototype, the Piaggio P23M. It was designed by the Italian engineer Giovanni Pegna as a high-wing monoplane powered by four tandem engines, two in the front and two in the back . After the first prototype (serial number MM369) flew for the first time on November 16, 1937, the Regia Aereonautica asked for a total of 12 P50, but some months later the program was already cancelled. A second prototype of the P50 I was made (serial number MM370), but this one was made only with metal (the first one was made only with wood). It flew for the first time in 1938. Boht units were abandoned, and they never saw service in the Second World War. Talking about it’s performance, it was powered by four Isotta Fraschini XI.RC V12s with 730 hp each. The defensive department was composed of three 12.7 mm Breda Safat machineguns, one in the front and the other two in the back.
Why it should be in the game: It could be an interesting low tier bomber similar to the french f222
