I don’t think BR would change anything indeed.
The armor that can’t be penned at 11.3 won’t be penned at 12.0 either. It’s just an extremely heavily armored vehicle; it’s a 48 ton AFV with heavy plating and ERA. Good protection and survivability is like the whole point of its conception.
I believe the issue isn’t so much BMPT as is… all that surrounds it. The Namers and the PUMAs along with their Spikes, for example, seem like trash next to BMPT primarily because their main armament, armor and survivability are underperforming to enormous levels.
Same goes even for MBTs. The Abrams tanks still have a stupid flat 50mm thick center of mass even though for years Gaijin has acknowledged it should be on the 300mm LOS range volumetrically speaking, plus the fact that its UFP also has a “seam” that can be penetrated by machine guns, and a long etc.

that’s a fair point, unfortunately both TOWs and spikes are modelled like garbage so the BMPT still hits like a truck with its ATGMs. But larger maps definitely help a bit.
I just stopped playing any other nation on GRB until they fix this mess.
I’m not going to feed the KD/grind of another BMPT who can smash his head against the keyboard and get 3 free kills whatsoever while I’m trying to make a Challenger 2 to simply work.

Raising this vehicle’s BR won’t solve the situation. It needs to have its armor reworked, and only then MAYBE TOP TIER will be tolerable to play again.

You should try out the stryker MGS against a BMPT players, watch as his neurons melt and fail to understand you can also play the hull down unmanned turret gameplay, but at 3km range.

Dont worry…currently the game is basically unplayable past tier 8. Nothing but artillery and bombing nonstop.

2km and even above with current targeting and ranging equipment. Basically whoever sees who first kills the other with modern ammo and vision.

not gaijin nerfing every french MBT autoloader to the ground, giving the stryker a 7.5 sec reload instead of 6 and just nerfing every sniping option we have NATO side so we’re forced in close quarters ♥

Then maybe it was quite the p̶o̶o̶r catastrophic idea to put it at 10.3 to begin with? That decision alone just fed a well known narrative I won’t mention further just because its besides the point.
And they won’t fix them because the BMPT is curbstomping anything else, that’s a whole another elephant in the room that needs to be addressed. Gaijin won’t fix the rest of light vehicles because the BMPT is wildly overperforming compared to its operational peers.
I’m on a point where I genuinely don’t care anymore about the Abrams, to be frank. If they eventually do their job and fix it, good enough, but if they don’t, it’s not like I was waiting for that change.

“tougher cas” gotta pull out the 2000lbs bomb cause I’ve seen that tank eat 2 agm-65s right on the top of the tank and survive with minimal damage
