If you are locking a mav at 20 it is an area lock not a point.

Point is, Maverick can’t do anything to a competent Pantsir player and NATO SPAA’s can’t do anything to SU-25SM3 player with single braincell. How’s that balanced lol

kh-29s and kabs have terrible track range. If you want to space climb and top down it works but it’s much less effective than the f16c, although it’s easier to get into a position to do so due to the enemy having usually worse and less SPAA (also better climb rate)

You don’t use the Mav’s seeker, you use the targeting pod which slaves the Mav seeker to that vehicle.

I just use GBUs against Pantsirs personally.

We know Pantsir can’t do anything against competent CAS players. This has been known forever.

Only for static targets and it will take 1-1.5 minutes for it get there, plenty of time for Pantsir to intercept if they have a single braincel.

Climbing to high altitude makes you an easy target for the Pantsir.

And no, that’s moving targets.
Pantsir cannot intercept high-altitude launches from my experience.

You can shoot them down, it’s even easier to do so when they are launched from range. I’ve done this with the german flakbus which is probably the shittiest spaa in top tier. The bigger issue is the radar

No it doesn’t, they could easily angle on a hill and shoot you. And climbing high reduces your manevourability and also makes you easy picking for other planes.

Please share a clip of you succesfully locking and hitting 20km ish target with Mavericks on live server. I’ve tested it, does not lock to vehicles until 10-12km, it’s a hard limitation from engine/server.

That alone says you have no clue what you’re talking about. FlakBus is easily the 3rd or 4th best SPAA in the game.

That’s because a lot of SU-25SM3 players are lazy and overconfident, to a competent player it’s literally impossible. 10-12km max range on Flakbus meanwhile 20km+ on KH-38’s

And their missile misses because I’m at high altitude where their maneuverability is bad and they used all their delta-velocity to get up to altitude.

“3rd or 4th best” puts it literally at the end. Compared to the ITO that uses the same missile (VT-1), it has a worse radar, can only fire 2 missiles before reloading, and its even larger. The ITO might have better thermals as well not sure. Only advantage it has over it are the smoke shells.

Use that towards your advantage. You wont kill a compentent f-16c player either

You’ve clearly never used the pansir before. It does the same but it’s even worse (not even irst but radar). And when it does, you cant manually guide the missile (it follows the softlock, not the crosshair)

Maybe you can’t kill them but easily neturalize them by intercepting their Mavericks, which saves your teammates which is the job of the SPAAs. Now look at what happens in otherway around, when CAS outranges you not only you die but so does half of your teammates. Having a good CAS is nowhere near as effective as having a good SPAA.

Not sure how you have trouble shooting kh38s then, sm3s usually fly at mid altitutes and sling them from there.

SPAA are nowhere near being able to counter CAS 1-1 (this includes the pansir). I’ve said this before in the forum, it’s better to spawn a fighter with fox-3s or not to counter CAS. It’s way better and more reliable
