Yes, it’s fine at 11.0, but it far worse at higher br due to lack of zoom (worse by 2,5 times, except AH-1W), thermals which is a significant disadvantage in comparison with the others. Also it becomes completely useless at night battles. At any time at any day I’d rather pick Mi-28N than Ka-50. Just the real only advantages Ka-50 have - is survivability after being shot and countering Roland systems
VT1s are a coin toss if you hit someone past 6-8km. After that they will start to wiggle in every direction if the target does any slight change in movement, basically making it luck if it happens to wiggle towards the aircraft rather than around it.

What I find insane is how light the missile seems at ranges when compared to the Pantsir.
the same weapons that the pantsir can easily delete mid flight while they glide at it with the speed of a balloon?

Yes, the Soviets finally got ONE CAS equivalent to my NATO CAS.
Yea and now the problem is with the AA. Russia finally got a good top tier CAS but it outrange every AA in the game except the Tor and their own AA, the Pansir. If Russia and China are on the same team in a GRB match, CAS is going to stomp enemy ground targets as long as they stay 7-10km away from the battle field, which is really easy to do because top tier NATO AA range and radar are lacking when compared to Pansir and Tor

Tail have only RWR, radar electronics and MFS with NVGs. Electronics responsible for weapons located on the side, opposing it 30mm cannon. That is Ka-52
Ka-50 however is the same RNG as any other helicopter and if it hull was damaged so much to loose it tail - Id say it safe to assume it lost every other subsystem

All CAS in War Thunder 11.3 and higher outrange all SPAA in War Thunder.
This has been the case since 2022, and made easier when CCIP was added to GBUs.

Yes, but that’s the main thing that holds it from being OP from my experience on it (I’m playing on laptop btw and it hurts :c)
Night battles are kinda cool, but those ‘flares’ falling from the sky is pure bs. And AFAIK even Swedish Mi-28 able to track targets at night, Ka-50 isn’t.
But 50/50 can save you if Roland user have more than 1 braincell and not shooting them directly at you

i mean… all the kamov has to do is fire three missiles in a row and he proxies both my missiles and the third pens my brain
Soviet Mi-28N have it, Swedish Mi-28A doesn’t. But I can’t check it at the moment, maybe night auto-tracking was removed.
I mean, you can change it’s flight path to not trigger vikhrs, it’s even easier with VT-1 missiles due to much higher speed.

man this thread is horrible. i’ll sum it up again. YES the pantsir is better than all other AA at top tier but its still worse than CAS. CAS at top tier is braindead just S turn slightly and you have defeated any missile. the painsir might be the best but its still a turd, i’d like to see better SPAA for all nations and ability to fight off CAS that isnt spawn an aircraft, but after all this is a plane game that happens to have tanks and ships

Same for Ka-29 rn, being same syster rotor wise it can lose it’s tail with modules that arent in the tail to begin with.
Mi-28A comes from soviet union to begin with, so no.
