Just wanted the chime in here.
We need decompression, but the F-15A needs to go up. The only reason it (rightfully) hasn’t gone up yet it because Gaijin decided to put ARH slingers at the same BR, which put slightly better ARH slingers above them. When we get proper decompression, 13.0s shouldn’t be fighting current 12.0s.
i want to share my opinion, i just played the gripen effectivly in top tier, which can use bol pods.
from what i see, mostly cm pods are given to planes without any maw system, because it gives them the possibility to dispence cm, while the pilot is knocked or near the g limit.
maw systems are extremly helpfull, especially since some maw systems are warning from ir missles too.
when i reflect my battles, the only thing the big amount of cm leads to is, that i spam 20-30 chaff, while trying to notch a AHR.
flares i do use probably more than with less than 100cm, but most battles i use less than 60 flares
considering all my point i think, if a plane has more than 100 charges (not units, because some planes drop 2 or more cm per activation) and no maw, the addition of a cm pod/rail feels valid.
aircraft with maw and less than 50 charges, it could be valid, depending on the amount stored in pod.
aircraft with maw and more than 100 charges should not recieve cm pods.
that is my personal opinion, i am open for discussion.
(personal note: more than 300 charges i consider to not be running out in a usual battle)
I agree, it’s the same argument that can be made for a lot of vehicles, but unfortunately when an update is done, these things get thrown to the wayside, and then you don’t see a fix for at least a year or two, kind of like the slat armor modification on the m1128 Stryker, simple model change, took forever.
may i be stupid, but i see no missles at the F14a which the f14a iriaf does not thave
No american fighter jet has MAW. The A-10 and F-111 are no jet fighters
Reverting the nerf made to the BOL countermeasures is more important for further addition of this feature to more airplanes.
from what i experience the bol pods do not need to be “rebuffed”
For planes that current has BOL like the JAS-39C and is clearly lower in the Meta, maybe it’s a good thing to do.
Well the F-14A IRIAF doesn’t have the Aim-7F or Aim-9H. But it mainly lacks the 6x Aim-54 loadout that the F-14A has for no reason at all.
i do not know what the nerf of bol pods consisted of, but i feel they are strong enough as they are right now ingame
He means being able to mount the heavy ARH missiles on wing pylons. The other F-14’s can do this but not IRIAF for no reason
Gripen has them at 13.0
At least, Gripen(the one which caused artificial nerf on BOL) doesn’t have 240CM without BOL.
Maybe an F-15A late premium with AIM-120 and BOL at 13.3 (I can justify this BR)

I can, but I think premium would make sense for a variant like that. Not to mention, unless they limit number of BOL pylons normal F-15A would be pretty good at 13.0
Problem is that not only you will buy it, and then we are off again. Me having to fight 5 Su-30SMs while my team is dead.
Second problem is that if they end up doing that, it might just end up like the NETZ. Instead of fixing it, making another variant of that issue and selling it
