Performance Issues in Infantry Mode

I don’t know if this is the correct place to post this, but I feel like if I’ve been given access to the Beta, I should inform of these kind of things here in order to give some feedback.

The problem is quite simple, I’ve been playing War Thunder for a long time, since 2013. I have never experienced any problems in performance, even in my laptop I have been able to get 100+ fps. I am able to get 60 fps all the time in regular game modes like Ground RB, Air RB, Naval, Simulator, Enduring Confrontation, Special Events, etc. But the Infantry mode is unplayable.

In December, in the last Beta, I had some issues, but after some games, the FPS improved massively, I suppose it had something to do with loading the new assets for the first time. However, in this new phase I can’t get that same experience. The desert map is unplayable from the beginning of the match, I’ve been getting 15-20 fps from the start, and it just remains there for the entire game. In the other map, the game starts are fine, I get 60 fps and I’m able to move like I normally do in Ground RB, but as the game progresses, the performance drops A LOT. 5 minutes in I’m already getting 20 fps, and when people start spamming tanks (I don’t know if it has anything to do with the tank spam and the corpses remaining there for the entire game, or if it is just a coincidence that it just starts dropping when people are able to spawn tanks) I start getting 12 fps, even 8 fps. I can play a battle 2 minutes before in Ground RB and play another one right after and I will be able to play at 60 fps again with no problems and with Medium Graphic settings, but, as I said, in Infantry Mode I can’t get that same performance, not even close to it, and it won’t really matter if I lower my graphics settings to Ultra Low even, the performance is the same.

Maybe it is just me, and my PC only, but I wanted to share this just in case I’m not alone and there is a “bug” with how some assets have been made that is demanding more resources than it should. I know that some people have similar problems, just not as bad, as some people have told me that they get 50% less FPS in Infantry mode than in any other game modes, from 130+ to 60. However, in my case, is way worse, I’m getting around 75% less FPS, even more, as I have them capped at 60, so I think it’s more like 90% less, as I know I can get 100 FPS without limitations. I don’t think this is normal or “expected”, I feel like this game mode should be more demanding, but anything above a 20-25% decrease in FPS is just too much and is going to make a lot of people not want to play it.

Sorry for the yapping, I hope this can make some people in Gaijin look into it and find a solution, since I think the game mode is taking a really good shape and it’s becoming better and better.
