That is personal choice and that is fine, everyone can do what they want.
But when i see lame complaints that are a direct result of those personal choices or in this particular case (the thread topic) ODL because of personal choice but use weak excuses or looking to justify by weak reasoning, anyone has the right to challenge that method.
If you cannot make sl without relying on premiums in conjunction with premium account, especially after the economy update (which i disagreed with btw) then i think you should re-evaluate your gameplay methods.
what are you grinding for and earning sl for? more tech tree vehicles which you will never use?
I am specifically referring to people who have 1k+ hours give or take.
The newer players follow what they see, if they see high level experienced players ODL - they will follow. it is what i am trying to say to you guys, your not seeing the big picture and as an experienced player, to do this, your the root problem and i am sorry if that offends you.

But it’s not an experienced player that started that trend it’s new players with high BR premiums with no lineup to support those premiums. Essentially it’s Gaijin that caused this while new players just used the least resistance method.
I was under the impression that changing the repair costs was to rebalance the economy to how it was years ago when there were more passive ways of earning income that were removed to try to combat botting. I don’t really see how it would help with one spawning.
I don’t care of having a good match, i want a fun one. And most of the time CAnSer prevents me from having that or the map design with people spawncamping at the base.

they can. there are alot of variables. even against a 4 man squad - a single highly skilled enemy can turn the tide of the battle, trust me, i have fought against them and i have also been that guy.
It is a real thing, but if you ODL you wont see it or be it.
Soz but nah. A 4 man squad that actually is on voip together and are good will never truly lose except for trash map design, you are guaranteed at least 20-24 spawns just from those 4 people, that’s like 2x the entire enemy team at current games. You also have squad marker spam with 100% uptime and ability to camp airspawn/helipad through direction.
You can ezpz get 90%+ winrate doing this garbage, in air rb at <8.0 it’s probably closer to 99% though.
I believe a lot of the issue is with the maps, and with the BR “balance” mechanism.
Personally, I will re-spawn in another vehicle, or a “backup”. But I’m also a masochist.
Most maps have you trying to struggle out across open ground, often up hill to get to a cap, or just to get to some cover to be able to fight from. Faster vehicles get to a position where they can snipe the slower ones as they try to get “into the game” . Bad enough on battle start, but if you die and then have to try to get back across the map again… well, you’re easy meat. Even if the map has some cover, they’re usually designed so that there are just a few routes to get to a cap, easily monitored and camped by the enemy (and rightly so).
Why throw away SL re-spawning when your chances of getting out of the spawn are minimal? Snow maps make it worse.
The ±1 BR “matchmaking” doesn’t help. A newer player might have only just unlocked one vehicle in a BR… say your first 2.7 for argument. It’s got no research done… so probably crap ammo, slow, poor traction, steering. They’re up against 3.7’s, with old hands with spaded tanks and crews included. That could be 37mm pop guns with only solid shot against T34’s or M4’s. Then you die, so you have to re-spawn in an even lower BR vehicle… even less chance.
Example… the ANTI-II spaa holds it’s own against 4.0. against the lesser 2.7’s it’s ridiculous… it often see’s 1.7… that’s stupid. You could possibly be in your first 1.7 BR vehicle, up-tiered against 2.7, and have only 1.3, 1.0 or reserve vehicles to re-spawn in… against the various BOFORS 40mm auto cannons you have little chance.
Why would you want to spawn again? Waste of time when you’re stuck in the spawn being camped from across the map by vehicles you might not even be able to pen at close range let alone at distance. And that’s with out the CAS. I’ve had late spawns where my initial vehicle was obliterated trying to get out of spawn by a plane.
Saying “you should stay, it’s a team game” is disingenuous. A random collection of players is not a team. I rarely see any meaningful teamwork, beyond basic helping to repair. Exception being those in a squadron. The daily tasks and “event” tasks often encourage i8ndividual goals that preclude team work.
Spawn camping being a problem or a “valid tactic” is a constant argument both in game and in forums, that and the power of CAS. Agree with either or not is irrelevant, the fact is it causes dissension, aggravates a good percentage of the player base and generates a negativity towards the game and other players. I believe both contribute to the 1 death and leave problem, but the developers have been not just reluctant to try to come to some compromise… they actively just don’t care.
I’m surprised there isn’t a 2 death leaver thread hahahaha. We have all been there, lemming train to the cap with light fast tanks, a quick head on fight, death, then suddenly 1/2 your team is air born!! They either lawn dart/bomb drop into the first tank they see or simply get shot down flying straight into a heavy MG and they are done at 2 deaths. Usually 50% of teams I have seen are down players before 5 minutes are gone. They don’t want to use tanks. If they get killed before enough SP to spawn air, they 1 death leave. It’s just the way GJ has designed the game. Do they care/ NO. Why, it’s about generating money to maintain the game and profits, hell they made it, up to them. This isn’t a team sport. Radom generated players from all over the world with different ideas on how to have fun. Guess that’s why they call it a GAME!!!
Or ODL but with heli. There are numerous times the player spawns with heli, goes for a rocket run, gets killed, and doesn’t spawn again because helis have 1st spawn ability in RBGF.
