People will still 1 death leave. The issue was never repair costs

One death leaving is a form of protest. It ruining your games is the same effect as protesters blocking off a road or a service.

If it annoys you, you should consider complaints that drive one death leaving:

  1. Maps that are incompatible with certain nations’ playstyles (CQC battles & sniper tanks with no armour as a classic case)
  2. CAS spawns 3 minutes into the game and makes choosing to respawn a gamble in getting strafed (light vehicles) or bombed (everyone) before you even leave spawn
  3. Snowballing. The lack of flanking routes, fixed and known spawn positions and funneling makes it much harder to break-out and force the enemy team to react and abandon dug-in positions than it should be. This also interacts with map size - a large map with alternate spawn locations makes it much harder to control everything, thus allowing better break-out attempts.
  4. CAS dominance when you’re playing a nation you don’t have planes for, or if you don’t like flying in RB because the instructor annoys you so your only options are SPAA, which your nation lacks at the BR range you wish to play at.
  5. The way the Activity% and RP reward system functions.

Just like the solution to protesters annoying you isn’t banning the right to gather and protest, but finding a compromise with their complaints - same solution to one death leaving.

Piecemeal solutions will whittle away piecemeal chunks of the crowd (if you solve CAS but not maps, CAS-complaint people won’t ODL but map-complaint people still will), a thorough redesign of GRB to make it more enjoyable and fun will solve ODL better.

I mention the piecemeal thing due to repair costs being claimed as having had no effect. It had an effect, but the problems are far more wide-reaching than just repair costs.

I think that you dont understand.

I’ve posted a solution that would make everybody happy.

2 game modes, that makes everybody happy.

if you have any arguments regarding maps or cas, open the post where you assert your reasons. if you leave after 1 death, apart from ruining the game for others who want to have fun you get nothing.

if you protest, do it with those who can change things not against other players, who maybe also agree with you on small maps, or cas

why spawn again when I get blown up by CAS

Also, to find a solution we should discuss. Whats the point in posting a respons “there is no problem”. Thats only his own idea that is useless under a post of 700 replies about that. Its not costructive at all

If gaijin makes their decisions based on statistics, then by one-death leaving under certain conditions you communicate through statistics. If you can convince other players to do the same, then hopefully gaijin observes the same.

Consider how a bunch of high-skill players managed to sabotage the BR system and highlight its faults in air battles on a barely-played plane. The same can be achieved with coordination in GRB.

What’s meant is “there is no problem with one death leaving.” Meaning, one death leaving is not a problem, what causes people to ODL is the problem (bad maps, CAS, uptiers). Some may be legitimate, some may not be.

Another thing about ODLing is gaijin encourages it with battlepass tasks.

I no longer do battlepass, but when I did I had tasks that were “kill 3 tanks in 1 battle using a medium/heavy” or sth like that. If I stayed after those 3 kills, then I effectively wasted my time and delayed actually playing game modes or vehicle I wanted - so optimal way to play was to kill 3, return to hangar, swap from my tiger E to the Kv-1 zis5, kill 3, return to hangar and swap to conqueror, kill 3, return to hangar, go back to tiger E. Once all are complete, go play air sim/gsb.

Thats a good reply.

I agree. Im afraid it will be like naval mode though, where it’s unpopular (especially coastal) and gaijin attempt to “fix” will ruin it (e.g. the latest arcade aim change, where you can’t indirect fire anymore)

next, I agree about battle tasks. These are so stupid lol. On AB air battles I ODL because of won conditions

That used to happen to me at events, when the task was to capture 10 bases. Easy peasy, put on the Italian R3, rush through captures as much as possible, die and quit, and the next game. You played 15 games in 6 minutes, but you completed the task and made significant progress toward achieving 10 wins, since capturing and dying gave you the minimum amount needed for the win to count.
I think Gaijin really doesn’t care that people do this, since people buy premium tanks and premium accounts anyway, and that’s all they’re interested in. Fixing or balancing the game is a secondary issue that doesn’t make them any money right now.

There are many reasons people leave after one death. The first two being CAS and Spawn camping. Others being map designs, etc.

Excuse me? I have a problem with having my entire team gone by the time I spawn for my first time. If you cant understand this very simple thing I don’t know what else to tell you that is defenetely a personal issue that you should look into.

Thanks for your unneeded and unwarranted tips. I don’t think you understand what comprehension even is I’m afraid. You literally listed a bunch of fixes for something you’ve now claimed 3 times ISN’T AN ISSUE. Laughable at best

So yoy admit you have a problem with how other people playing the game. Thus - consider playing single player games

ODL is not an issue.

If YOU consider it an issue - i listed you a way to change it.
Doesn’t change a fact that ODL is not an issue.

Also, you are not the one to say what is unwanted or unneeded

I’ll just mute you as I’ve seen enough to know what I’m dealing with thanks.

Go for it champ

Dude get your head out of the sand, the ODL problem is clearly a design problem.

Maps arent fun, you get spawncamped or are spawncamping enemy in less than 5 minutes in 80% of matches so obviously poeple arent gonna bother.

I don’t see how allowing poeple to spawn in more vehicles in game premium or not would be a detriment or p2w mechanic as long as you pay the repair cost like everybody else you should be able to spawn in the same vehicle as many times that you want and just get rid of the universal backups.

If banning 5 maps would close all match options the game is very badly designed, once again…

You cry about the dude bringin in solutions but you don’t bring any yourself.

Nop, because you get only experience vs inexperience players is like noobbashing.

Repair costs is one of the reasons, not only reason.

  1. Bad maps

  2. Constant uptiers

  3. CAS

This 3 is main reasons why people leave after 1 death.

I have line ups every BR I’m playing, but always using 1 spawn (especially at highter BRs) it’s not fun to get destroyed by spawncamper or plane right in the spawn area. Why give free kills to someone? Better leave and join next match.

I do this a-lot, and from my experience, I just get 3-4 kill games with a single vehicle and move onto the next match. This is to grind quickly as you’d be getting a decent amount of RP and SL in a consistent flow by playing a whole lot of matches with decent kills. I don’t want to waste a entire match for a few thousand RP more, it’s better to cram in as many matches as you can with a decent amount of kills per game.

But yeah; it can be annoying when people get no kills and just leave after a death.

To ultimately conclude to what may I ask?

Grinding the tech tree quickly

to get to what?
