People consistently crashing at the start of a match at higher br ratings

I’ve been having a hard time wrapping my head around how in seemingly every match at 10.3+ there is always at least one plane that crashes on takeoff.

The planes that crash are varied as well as the player ranks of the pilots who fly them. So I’m kind of stumped as to what could be causing this. I find it very strange and if there are any answers that could account for the frequency of this occurring then I would be glad to hear them.

Does not perhaps explain the regularity of crashes, but random lag spikes, distractions, etc can occur.

i’ve taken off before only to get a 999 ping spike and be slammed into the ground as a result.

Though I think just as often as its unavoidable, there is simply user error, like failing to retract flaps and ending up spinning out from assymetrical flaps or from not paying attention to where you are going or what you are doing and crashing as a result. A few aircraft require being… gentle, to get airbourne and not all will be.

It’s an issue of skill.

In my experience, crashing players skew towards low level, premium flying players. There are multiple problems that can be experienced in takeoffs such as heavy plane, weak engine, unbalanced load out, etc. There are also the common player errors such as rotating too early (causing higher drag and inability to take off), rotating too late (gear breaking and immediate crash), stalling, not pitching up enough and crashing into ground or terrain ahead. Even experienced players will occasionally crash, because this is a game, few are officially qualified to fly, and nobody’s life is on the line (so attention given to flying correctly can often be lacking).

There are also those people who sometimes try to do acrobatics or show off during takeoff. I am one of those people. Given the low energy state and proximity to ground during takeoff, these often cause crashes. Sometimes, crashing during takeoff can have a comedic effect, and so is partially intended. Why acrobatics on takeoff specifically, you ask? Well, takeoff is the only moment in each game when the entire team is there to witness your legendary maneuvers.

Conclusion is, it’s a game, not real life. So the crashing during takeoff isn’t anything to worry about.

Nothing like flying at 300m and suddenly slamming the ground mach fuck belly first

I was once at 5000-ish ft (1500m) and still got body slammed before :D
