Pbv 302 BILL thermal imaging device
The RBS 56 BILL and RBS 56 BILL 2 are both night-fighting capable when using a clip-on thermal imaging sight. The sight itself was a proprietary Bofors design using the Joule-Thomson method to cool the device. The sight provided the platform with the abilty to effectively engage targets in low-visibility conditions.
Considering the Pbv 302 BILL in War Thunder already uses an externally mounted RBS 56 BILL launcher, and the gunner operated the weapon system using the regular daytime sight, this modification for the vehicle seems warranted.
The thermal imaging device had 1x magnification but as it was a clip-on device, it still benefitted from the 8x magnification.
