Pay to win bush

Golden Eagles are digital currency, they have no physical value and are just lines of code. Gaijin could give out 1 million golden eagles to everyone if they really wanted to.

Besides, Gaijin has refunded certain things people paid for in their amount in GE. For example, all of the stages for the Boxer event were available temporarily, until Gaijin removed them. The people who paid for them to get the vehicle early were refunded in GE.

Bushes themselves are realistic, but how you can place them in WT is what’s unrealistic. You shouldn’t be able to have a vertical bush on the very front of a BMP, but you should be able to put them on the UFP/LFP.

Bushes are mildly pay to win in the aspect you are paying for an advantage over others (or grind the BP for a couple of seasons and hope they are available). They’re less P2W than crew skills, but they aren’t exactly fair.

Straight skill issue. Next argument.

Bushes are not “pay to win”, never have been. Having bushes on a tank is not going to increase your winrate, at all. And besides, you can get them for FREE outta the Warbond Shop. I have 18 different bushes I can use and I got every one of them from the WB Shop, at no cost . . . just by playing, doing Daily & Special tasks. I got most before the Battle Pass came along, they were easier to collect before BP, but I have still managed to get a few that way as well. Just a matter of playing and working the game, not letting it work you.
I don’t even play Ground RB, but I still put the bushes on some/most of my tanks anyway . . . doesn’t really help in AB, but still can look ok, and “realistic”.
But as mentioned, Gaijin cannot mindfully just remove the bushes as many people did pay for them, and even imagining that they would is pretty far fetched.
I’m sorry if they seem to give you a hard time, I don’t even see them much when I play and have never been “faked out” by anyone’s camo, bushes or not.
There is really nothing “pay to win” in this game . . . pay to speed up progress, yeah . . . pay to look cool . . . sorta. But bushes?? . . . nah to P2W and “looking cool”? . . . eye of the beholder . .

Oh no, someone payed money for an upper hand!

If you play during a very specific, certain part of the year.

If you show up 1.5 months late, you’re SOL unless you spend ~2-3 hours each day unless you get a reasonable battlepass task.

If you show up 2 months late, you’re not catching up with the level 57 battlepass requirement.

If you only play during the first month of the battlepass, all your invested effort evaporates and you start over from scratch.

Bushes are OK to exist.

Gating a universal mechanic behind a FOMO system is not OK.

Bushes should function like ace crews :

  1. Bushes bought for GE can be used universally on any vehicle.
  2. Bushes without GE must be obtained on a per-vehicle basis and require a rapidly scaling RP cost to unlock, and a significant SL cost. RP cost could be something like 3 times the RP required to ace the crew, and SL cost could be three times the SL required to expert a crew. You only unlock 1 random bush each RP cycle, but you can save them up to buy with SL once desired.

If it was done like that - meaning, a tier 3 tank would need something like 600K RP to roll a single bush that you need like 100K sl to buy. A tier 4 would take like a million RP per a single bush, and it’d be 300k SL to buy.

Now, given that according to Data Analysis: what is the actual average player's score per mode? (and how long will it take you to do this event) the average player earns ~1000 score (50% of players earn at least 1000 score)…

And 1000 score gives you around 1500-2000 RP…

Getting a bush for a tier 3 with this system will take 300 battles in a single tank, all of it modifications RP to boot. 300 fully survived games essentially. 1 game takes ~10-15 minutes, so at 300 games it’s a 75 hour grind at tier 3 - assuming you do not die a single time with that vehicle and get 2000 modification RP in each battle with your chosen vehicle.

I’m more than happy to adjust the costs so that it is a 200 hour grind/bush instead, as long as you can work towards it the entire year and you don’t lose progress if you stop playing for a few months.

Paying for premium will obviously speed this up, but that’s still a win for gaijin.

To be honest this is just a repeat of a thread that is already ongoing and will probably be closed down.

I think that they should add to the repair cost of the vehicle if you use them. You can place some on your vehicle, but it will add to the maximum repair cost if destroyed, depending on the rank and/or battle rating of the tank.

They already nerfed them by having them fall off if you are machine gunned which was cheeky because this wasn’t the case when so many people paid for them.
They have to be careful that they dont get accused of mis-selling items.
Make no mistake, Gaijin are running a shop here and selling goods and as such they are bound by the laws of the countries they sell in.

It’s a good one-time investment. I use it on all of my tanks and saved me in several occasions from getting spotted even a few feet way on my M22 during ambush.
It helps conceal in bushy environments especially under shades of trees.
It helps conceal reflective surfaces under sunlight.
It helps conceal weak spots.
It helps to break away your silhouette.
It helps takes away a fraction of time from the opponent to figure out what he’s looking at and where to shoot.

I mean… That’s clearly a Marder…

Correct. But one would have identified it a fraction faster if it wasn’t for the bushes. Imagine, that Marder was several meters away (usually a hundred) behind bushes and under trees.

Huh I don’t mind your idea for that. Only problem with that is if you know how gaijin works they aren’t keen on hand outs because if they cut down on their profits at all they wouldn’t like that.

Or they’d look at you hull and see it was… Or the very recognizable turret…

But yes, I understand the point you are trying to make

I think a 200 hour grind in a single vehicle (not line-up) that assumes 2000 modification RP/game and around 6000 modification RP per hour (3 games/hour) (for tier 3, scale accordingly) should not cut into their profits at all. Could even make it scale faster with a high floor - high tier it’s more than 200 hours, but it’s at least 200 hours at tier 1.

Especially since this will only randomly unlock a random single bush, and you need another 200 hours for another bush chance.

I never thought one can get bushes for free.

You can, but it’s FOMO as all hells. It’s every other battlepass, you need to reach level 57 in the battlepass and save basically all your warbonds for a chance to roll at a single bush. Theoretically, a level 57 battlepass grind assuming 3 hours daily and completion in 50 days would be around 150 hours-ish if you do it at the right time of the year.

I came back to this game ~1 month left of northern kings BP. I had zero chances at getting a bush. Chances are, next BP will occur at a time I’m very busy again so - rip me, for circumstances out of my control (outside of quitting my position irl…)

Oh boy, not another one of these

I beg to differ!

The one thing that I don’t like is that bushes block driver, commander’s view, optics and in some cases binocular views. Well, it makes sense but when jumping to a game mode from realistic to sim, you just got to remove the bushes from all the optics. If only Gaijin would provide some ability of the player to save camouflage set-ups like weapons load outs.
