Technically it is possible to buy ur way to top tier.
How you may ask?
Basically you get convertible rp by unlocking modifications for vehicles. You can also buy them, that still gives you convertible rp.
So you can technically buy a bunch of marketplace vehicles and buy all modifications until you have the desired amount of convertible rp, with that you can just convert to top tier.
So technically it’s possible right?
But no one will ever do this because it’s just to expensive.
That is called pay to progress, nothing else
I’m not sure that anyone’s mom’s credit card could take that.
There are many (next to) top tier premiums that can be had for a “reasonable” amount.

F-4S and F-4J being at the same br is one of the actual examples of P2W in WT
There are way easier methods like buying a premium jet with premium time but in theory u can do it.

Brother the F-4S identical as the F-4J it just the premium version, P2W means when the buyable velchie better than the tech tree variant but in this case they’re identical so it’s not P2W to spend money on a jet identical as an another one.
probably combat flaps is only difference, and it doesn’t change much tbh
Ohh damn, I have the F-4S for years and didn’t knew the F-4J doesn’t have combat flaps but to be honest most players don’t even know about combat flaps on F-4S since west majority of F-4S players are either low level or bad US mains wo much experience, I’d not consider it as much advantage since 90% of players not good enough to use it as an advantage.
i just use landing/take off flaps. they basically do the same thing
edit: (Some planes got weak flaps!!! and flaps slow you down but increase the lift)

It changes a lot. F-4J is a boat. F-4S is flies well in comparison.
They deploy regardless of whether you use combat flaps or not. Entering combat flaps just deploys them 24/7 instead of only during hard turns.
Slats are not flaps and you can’t do with takeoff flaps what you can do with slats. Slats can be open and helping your turn at mach.
For a game with end goal of grinding out a tt, u could say it is p2w, just not in the traditional meaning.

so f4s has a more agile flight model
f4s has slats on the leading edge of the wing
like the f4e
while f4j does not like f4c or f4ej
