RB is meant as the middle ground between AB and Sim, not as a full-on historical simulator.

Yeah, if something could feasibly have been built and there isn’t a non-paper vehicle that can fill the gap instead, I don’t see the problem.
After all, if we’ve got WWII-era tanks fighting vehicles from decades later (which I’m not arguing against necessarily btw, it’s a topic for another time in any case), I think the whole ‘authenticity’ thing died a while ago.

I don’t really agree that Strv 2000 is remotely feasible. From what I understand, basically nothing aside from the coaxial gun and basic engine+transmission components existed. Composites were investigated, but I am yet to see any result of that research mentioned for Strv 2000.
Realistic paper would be something like the T57 120mm gun tank, T77 120mm gun tank or Rapid Deployment Force light tank with missile pods alongside the 75mm gun, where the mechanisms and part of the vehicle were built in steel and planned to be tested, but cancelled before tests could begin.
All the parts existed and could be mated together, but were not due to the cancelation of the project.

It got a wooden mock-up made, with pretty extensive research into armor composites/ERA, which is enough for me.

mind you i am talking from the fact i play world of tanks but the E-75 they might be able to use a bigger tiger 2 turret in order to house a 105mm gun and not have that weird collision model with XRAY as the E-75 is supposed to be a upgrade to the tiger 2 the E-50 however they could do a similar shmalturm however they make it bigger to properly fit the 8.8 and i think thats it kranvag i can see the O-i is very possible there is a jagdpanzer E-100 which is the TD version of an E-100 but it has the Jagd panther model with more armor and an E-100 hull with a bigger gun than the Maus
well remember that the USS Montana could be added since russia got the Kron and the Kron has 305mm guns instead of 38cm guns is probably a bit better and the USS Montana would basically be and somewhat better Iowa class BB
Age gap between vehicles shouldn’t be a excuse. War Thunder balances vehicles by their performance. Paper vehicles shouldn’t be added to the game. WT forum allows unfinished prototypes and that is more than enough. We still haven’t seen loads of vehicles that were actually built and tested.
The ultimate paper vehicle. The paper vehicle to end all others.
That is a Vulcan with 12x Aim-54s.
For that and that alone. I want paper vehicles. I will pay any price for it :D

Hey hey! . . yeah I agree. To me, the better question is not “if” but “when” . . . just a matter of time really. Even tho there are many existing vehicles that have yet to be added, so many others that could be put in the game if the “limitations” were loosened up a bit. I mean it’s a video game, everything in it is “pretend” to a degree anyway. Just a matter of time . . and we, as players, will improvise, adapt . . . overcome . . that’s what we do

Wdym? Limitations were already loosened up. WT now allows unfinished prototypes. There wouldn’t be any limitations if they allowed paper vehicles in game

That doesn’t mean that we should destroy the little bit of realism that we have left. If you want fantasy designs that wouldn’t work in real life and are physically impossible then WoT is the game for you
