Panzerkampfwagen T-34/88 747 (r)

the T34 88 did seem to get captured back and put back into service just like AMD 35 PAK wagon at 2.7 so its likely to see it in both trees as a tech tree hopefully

i hate that people are trying to make this a event take like we no one wants to grind this for 45k score

event vehicles are to lengthy to grind healthily for low tier vehicles something at 5.7 should never be over 25K score

Always baffles me when others want very cool vehicles as events when it means locking them behind a tedious limited time grind and make it unobtanium for returning/new/busy players

same kinda people who thought F11-F1 being a event vehicles is a good idea

For those who voted event, please stop. I am studying in Uni and I do not have the consistent time to grind for 45k points every two days. And germany needs a 5.7 medium tank for the 5.7 line up since all the panthers got moved up to 6.0. Such a vehicle should not be locked behind a grindfest of a paywall.

As the dev would be required to make a new T-34-85 mod.1944 3D model to make T-34-88; they will very likely reuse the 3D asset to add another T-34-85 to the game. I would choose to take no side in this topic.

But regarding the statement “the T34 88 did seem to get captured back and put back into service just like AMD 35 PAK wagon”, I would quite disagree about that statement, given that it was immediately sent to the factory for “de-modification” once it was discovered to have an 88 mm gun.

I think this is a big part of why I don’t wish for it to be in the Soviet tree, even if they briefly used it. The T-34-88 is special because it is the deliberate product of German intention. To to Soviets, it was just a logistical hindrance to be sorted out at the nearest convenience.

At least in the case of the Pak AMD, neither side intended to un-modify it. French forces actually ended up preforming similar weapon swaps onto other recaptured vehicles on their own, so the Pak AMD is actually on-brand for them despite not being their own modification.

theres no evidence that it ever left reserve stockpiles before being reverted to an 85mm

Ah. Then that makes this even more clear cut.

so, any news on it? would be a nice event vehicle for both nations lmao

I doubt they are even aware it exists yet

Let’s just say they do ;)

I doubt it but hopefully it’ll be in the German tree soon

I have access to the CC feedback channel and they know about both the Soviet and German variant

There’s no 2 varients it’s the same tank but yea maybe

True, but so what?

There are any number of vehicles in the game that never saw service and/or were only experimental, test, or layout prototypes of various kinds - no doubt someone will, sooner or later, provide an actual count :)
