Panzerhaubitze 2000

It has 2 versions of M107 tho, which isnt even a shell it should get since its primarily used as a practice round because its cheap and bad at killing stuff…

That’s not correct actually. Sorry if i sound petulant, but base bleed and RAP are two completely different things. Base bleed reduces drag by expelling gases from the base,RAP generates thrust with a rocket motor

Fair enough (whist scaveging thru the wiki a graphic poped up where it looked like a rocket engine)
Ill edit it

Yeah the diagrams of BB and RAP are very very similar,if you don’t read carefully ir you’re not part of the sector it’s easy to confuse the 2 things, don’t worry

Well, it’s a shame there’s no TVD

What we have things still to do?

  • change gunner sight 4x to 8x
  • Armour shuld be thicker then now (penetrated by 14.5mm now)
  • Max speed should increase to 62kph
  • Reverse gear should be reduced to 4
  • MG ammos should be reduced to 1,200rds
  • Weight of vehicle should be reduced to 57.6t
  • Detachable Hedgehog armour (which includes reduce weight to 55.8t)

Is the shell velocity of M107 and M107(VT) shells correct? It seems that Type99 and PzH-2000 share a very similar gun 155 mm/L52

For the muzzle velocity aspect, it is impossible to determine without obtaining a table of muzzle velocities for each charge count of the PzH 2000. The only available data is the maximum muzzle velocity (945 m/s).

Seems like it changed. good

Id rather have M107 entirely removed. Its primarily a practice shell used for being cheap and relatively less lwthal than other rounds that would actually be used in combat. The only shell we really ought to be using in WT would be the L15A2 (DM111) with options for contact fuze, SAPHE fuze, and proxy fuze, maybe toss in a low velocity (minimal charge) version of it as well for the lobability.

Which Dev Version are you on?
Still 2.42.0.23?

2.42.0.26
Its been updated right now

Yea, just saw the raw datamine xD

.26 introduces BR 14.0
Current 14.0 Aircraft:
F-15E
Eurofighter Typhoon (All)

DM111, DM121 and DM131 are effectively the same shell familiy.

DM111: 11.4kg
DM121: 8.8kg
DM131: <8.0kg

DM121 and DM131 just sacrifice more explosive mass for additional range / propulsion.
So DM121 and DM131 are just straight up worse in War Thunder, unless maps go into the 25km+ range territory.
In general for artillery, the more range a shell has, the less explosive mass it has.
That’s also why Excalibur and Vulcan are “bad” artillery rounds cause they only have ~5kg filler.

L15A1 and L15A2 are the “old” predecessors. They were incapable of withstanding the new top charges, and lacked the insensitive filler.

DM702 SMArt would just be broken, with 2 sub ammunition, a PzH could shoot 240 sub-munitions without leaving spawn. Also Gajin would likely need years to implement custom ammunition like those.

Rather more interesting could be DM111 with a PGK (laser guided and GPS guided) → You click on map and it assists your round getting closer on target, or maybe allow scout drones to lase targets?

On a side note please also look into info on the accuracy of the gun, currently its quite bad with a delta of 0.06 (MBTs have 0.028)

Is that kg in TNT or a different type of explosive filler?
(id like a 11.4 kg filler HE shell either way nomatter if its TNT or even more)

its just the mass of the filler. The type of explosive decides the effectiveness.
TNT: 1.0x
Comp B: 1.31x
PBX/IMI-104 (insensitive replacement of comp b): 1.31x

So e.g. L15A1 with 11.3kg and comb B filler: 11.3kg x 1.31 → 14.8kg TNTe
→ means its 11.4kg explosives are equal to what 14.8kg TNT would do.

DM111 uses IMI-104, DM121 and DM131 used PBX

Gaijub plese giv almost 15kg tnt nuke :D

also dm 121 could be interresting with it beeing insnsitive ammo

afaik the difference between 6kg and 15kg isnt actually that big in War Thunder.
In TNTe (TNT equivalent):
5kg pens 42mm RHA
9kg pens 61mm
14.8kg pens 64mm

The scaling is a bit weird…
Though over pressure range is probably higher

Its also why bombs with 500kg only have 88mm RHA pen.
If the bomb lands on a tank e.g. on the turret cheek where all armor >88mm the bomb will do nothing.

DM121 should be 11.5kg of explosive
