DM111, DM121 and DM131 are effectively the same shell familiy.

DM111: 11.4kg
DM121: 8.8kg
DM131: <8.0kg

DM121 and DM131 just sacrifice more explosive mass for additional range / propulsion.
So DM121 and DM131 are just straight up worse in War Thunder, unless maps go into the 25km+ range territory.
In general for artillery, the more range a shell has, the less explosive mass it has.
That’s also why Excalibur and Vulcan are “bad” artillery rounds cause they only have ~5kg filler.

L15A1 and L15A2 are the “old” predecessors. They were incapable of withstanding the new top charges, and lacked the insensitive filler.

DM702 SMArt would just be broken, with 2 sub ammunition, a PzH could shoot 240 sub-munitions without leaving spawn. Also Gajin would likely need years to implement custom ammunition like those.

Rather more interesting could be DM111 with a PGK (laser guided and GPS guided) → You click on map and it assists your round getting closer on target, or maybe allow scout drones to lase targets?

On a side note please also look into info on the accuracy of the gun, currently its quite bad with a delta of 0.06 (MBTs have 0.028)

Is that kg in TNT or a different type of explosive filler?
(id like a 11.4 kg filler HE shell either way nomatter if its TNT or even more)

its just the mass of the filler. The type of explosive decides the effectiveness.
TNT: 1.0x
Comp B: 1.31x
PBX/IMI-104 (insensitive replacement of comp b): 1.31x

So e.g. L15A1 with 11.3kg and comb B filler: 11.3kg x 1.31 → 14.8kg TNTe
→ means its 11.4kg explosives are equal to what 14.8kg TNT would do.

DM111 uses IMI-104, DM121 and DM131 used PBX

Gaijub plese giv almost 15kg tnt nuke :D

also dm 121 could be interresting with it beeing insnsitive ammo

afaik the difference between 6kg and 15kg isnt actually that big in War Thunder.
In TNTe (TNT equivalent):
5kg pens 42mm RHA
9kg pens 61mm
14.8kg pens 64mm

The scaling is a bit weird…
Though over pressure range is probably higher

Its also why bombs with 500kg only have 88mm RHA pen.
If the bomb lands on a tank e.g. on the turret cheek where all armor >88mm the bomb will do nothing.

DM121 should be 11.5kg of explosive

hm you might be correct on DM121, though some sources say 8.8.

Anyway, Im still thinking about using the PzH on WT small maps effectively.

  • For indirect fire you need a drone, .i.e a 2nd teammate.
→ Calculating distance still remains a challenge, many maps also lack the terrain or size for this.
  • Scout marking and random team mate markings on the map are sadly not accurate enough to rely on them for blind fire.
  • Corner fighting in towns might work, but not ideal due to bad mobility and lack of stabilizer. → HE will also get caught by fences etc.
  • HE is good at killing hull down tanks like T-90M, Abrams, etc.
→ Ideal solo playstyle: Hull down

Ideal will be flat maps with shallow maps, so that you can hide the vehicle and use the commander sight to lob shells without the enemy being able to return fire. Sadly the terrible gun depression will limit this to be possible on only a few maps.

Any good maps or spots for this? I generally dont use HE lobbers, so I can only think for:

Maps for this playstyle
  • Sands of Sinai: Left side
  • Fire left side south spawn (north spawn doesnt have enough cover for a tall vehicle afaik)
  • Maginot Line: 8 Line
  • Tunesia: Left and middle
  • Fulda (Large version)

Maybe (bad sight lines / lack of thermals):

  • Field of Poland
  • European Province
  • Fields of Normandy

No goes (too hilly):

  • Any smaller map
  • Red desert (too hilly)
  • EL Alamein
  • Mozdok

what i realy would want is the saphei round as well,
but someone no tech mod toched it yet

Yeah, I feel putting it in the same bracket with the Raketen was not a good position.

I see 1 major issue with this; the OE 3F round is very high velocity for a 155, let alone every round it fires because of its long barrel.

holy, they fixed allready alot of issues on the PzH

???

The vehicle is not yet ready for testing, it’s a work in progress.

My guess; PzH 2000s interior is still very WIP, maybe even a placeholder at the moment. We have to wait n see.

sure, but still what the fuck is that answer…
like that doenst change the fact its still wrong even tho its WIP…
like when we follow this, no report can we accepted since the entire Dev is WIP
