Basically, the developers’ position is clear after BVVD’s words: “Unfortunately, the Buk turned out to be weak, so we decided to add the Pantsir-SM.”
Maybe we shouldn’t give it an ammo resupply crate? For you, ammo resupply crates are one big bug that can be literally abused, given your seemingly infinite ammo supply.
Look, in the game there’s a Spyder, for example. I can take one Python 5 and seven Derbys with a crate, I can refill all eight Python 5s.
The new Pantsir can also choose the missile ratio at the start of a battle.
So, for example, I can take one 95ya6m and fill the remaining 11 slots with TKB-1055s. This way, I can refill the 95ya6m 45 times.
the small varaint is gonne prob be limited to 4 tubes who is 32 missile.
and please dont act like its busted to aircraft, that thing is limited to 7km, most heli are wat far than this.
also plane, a plane 7km close to the ground maps is a dead plane no matter russia or other
It gives you 100% of your baseline ammo. If thats 4 its 4 if its 16 its 16.
So if it has a lot of baseline ammo, you get a lot of extra ammo from it and can shoot missiles for days. Something like the ELDE could probably do with 2 or 3 ammo crates to balance it against something like a Pantsir S1
Doesnt just affect SPAA, I was fighting an IT-1 the other day and I assume it gets an ammo crate and so that was 30 ATGMs it just kept popping up and firing at me and there was nothing I could do
I sort of agree and sort of not, the amount of ammo they can bring to begin with sort of balances the vehicle for a BR and it’s then logical to baseline double what it can bring as it then percentually gives every vehicle the same “boost”. But on the other hand i do agree that there are some vehicles that are more in need of extra ammo compared to others, the multi vehicle SAM’s for example get one box PER launcher, that should imo only be one shared box for the set of vehicles.
One thing i do not like with the EldE 98’s box-reload is that if you are fully out of missiles not only do you have to wait for the box reload timer but then ALSO the vehicles own reload timer, so the reload gets ridiculously long if you fire all your missiles and you save a lot of time if you only fire 3 and then wait for the reload before firing again. It’s also one of the few vehicles that doesn’t come with it’s own inherent reload ammo so why does it even have a reload timer to begin with?
Pantsir-SM is at battle rating 12.7 by the moment the Major Update preview livestream was on. If it shows to be better than the Buk-M3 it will reasonably have its battle rating increased, if don’t, at battle rating 12.7 it is; more mobile than the Pantsir-S1, more versatile (three different missiles for different purposes); improved radar and missile count, the battle rating difference is more than fair and I’m willing to know if this difference from S1 to SM will give any in-gameplay difference like missile guidance alternatives other than pointing it at a target or something.
Ammo crates is not a need but it’s certainly not useless but can be handy at certain moments. You can’t abuse it since it has one use only, once you reload your stock it’s gone until you get it again in captured or allied zones. It seems you can abuse it but in reality you can just magically teleport it to your position by building it again but it doesn’t mean it has full ammo again as far I’m concerned about this in-game mechanic. It’s not infinite.
