The Pantsir-SM incorporates an advanced active electronically scanned array radar (AESA), greatly enhancing its detection capabilities. With an impressive detection range of 75 km, it surpasses the original Pantsir-S1, which only had a range of 30 km. Moreover, this radar boasts increased resistance to jamming, further enhancing its effectiveness.

AESA radar is search radar, with range of 70km against a “small target”, while the track radar is 40km (and while not confirmed here, it is a prime example of a reflection type PESA antenne).
