yeah russia just has a lockdown on the map, from pantsir to radar missiles to helis to light vehicles.
it is what it is unfortunately.

Contrarian means to take stances that aren’t your own.
Evidence of such things would be people changing stances in a conversation multiple times, which I’ve never done in my life.
So you are calling all people in the world with consistent sincere views contrarian by misusing that word.
Keep defending Russia tho.
which is why you bring out an apache as soon as the map starts and camp their heli pad and when you can fire rockets at their SAMs
the best way to counter CAS is to spawn a toptier plane with anti air armament lol
Gaijin should nerf Pantsir, his rockets are unmatched by anything else in the game. When they are hit by multiple tanks, it is unplayable for the air force
They should either give nato something even remotely comparable, which probably isn’t possible since nato anti air systems are not independent, or they should reduce spawn point cost of spawning planes with solely anti air armament for at least toptier, because right now it takes about as much SP to spawn a plane with fox 3’s as it does to spawn a attack drone (this would give nato its biblically accurate air cover) . Also, what’s with the spawn distance? the plane spawn is just inside the range of the pantsir, and even at max range it can hit it quite easily, so you immediately have to dive down to even think about surviving, so maybe push the map borders back and move the spawn back too.
If pure AoA jets become cheaper, helicopters can no longer be played. Helis are currently only strong if you can spawn them in the first 5 minutes before the sky is full of jets or AA rockets. After that, there’s just another phase where you mop up the remains of a defeated team after most of the jets have left the sky again.
The Pantsir is fair to helicopters. Depending on skill, chance or forced inattention, sometimes the helicopter wins, sometimes the pantsir. I believe other nations need similar systems.
Or even better ones. Even with the VT-1, which is similarly good, you won’t encounter top-tier jets that do a few evasive maneuvers.
What’s wrong with needing some degree of skill to play helicopters? And its not like most helicopters can’t fight planes anyway, especially things like ka52 or ah64 which have a nose mounted gun, along with somewhat good missles, so if you’re just somewhat attentive of whats going on around you then it’ll be alright.
I have no problem with the fact that you need skill to play Helicopter. I didn’t say anything to the contrary.
And yes, you are not completely defenseless against jets. You’re even a danger to them if you’re clever and, this is important, if they haven’t spotted you. If a jet on the same BR has seen you and wants to shoot you down, then that will happen too. Only luck, complete incompetence of the jet pilot or teammates who shoot him down can then save you. And even the incompetence of the jet pilot usually doesn’t help you. 10% of my deaths are caused by jets that would rather ram themselves into me or into the ground than realize that they won’t catch me on the approach (because I flew good maneuvers and gave them an impossible angle of attack.)
Yes nerf Pansir, so the gringos can spam the f16 and bomb all map from the orbit. Sure thing.
As you said, skill and maneuvering (and not just hovering over the helipad) make it so helicopters are very good, and swarms of a2a CAP players won’t make helicopters unplayable
If they keep the Pantsir S1, then the US tech tree should get AGM-88s, as well as the Pantsir being unable to target drones/incoming missiles as it is in real life, if this game is supposed to be accurate. There is real life footage/evidence/articles from Russia themselves stating that the Pantsir S1 radar/guns failed to shoot down or hit slow flying drones due to the missiles proximity fuses not being able to track or correctly hit slower objects.
“… we can conclude that modern [Russian] air defense systems are very poorly adapted to combat UAVs [Uncrewed Air Vehicles, drones].”"
" Russia admits Pantsir missile and gun system does not detect drones . Russian defense officials have acknowledged the limitations of the gun systems on their “Pantsir” air defense complex"
Russia admits Pantsir missile and gun system does not detect drones – Global Defense Corp.
"Its weaknesses were highlighted in a 2020 Russian report that warned modern Russian air defense systems were poorly adapted to fight drones.
Claims of those systems’ superiority are not proven, Prof. Sergey Makarenko of St. Petersburg Electrotechnical University said in the study.
“The results of field tests of the Pantsir-S1 air defense missile systems show that firing missile weapons at UAVs is practically impossible,” the report said, according to a Forbes translation."
Dozens of articles stating the Pantsir (even newer ‘supposedly more complex’ variants) cannot actually engage with missiles OR guns. Now with this evidence in mind, this would lead to the conclusion that the Pantsir S1 wouldnt even be able to track, or shoot an AGM-65D or AGM-88 out of the sky let alone see it on radar since its RCS (Radar Cross Section/reflection) is on the same level than some drones if not smaller especially if the missile is flying directly at a Pantsir S1 for the AGM-65B or D which would be roughly the size of a basketball frontally. An AGM-88 would be even smaller about the size of a volleyball front aspect.

could be fake news. i dont see how they would be able to know how many missiles pantsir used to shoot down x amount of drones. they werent there. how would they know? probably made up
The drone operators probably get the idea when the 4th or 5th flies by.
Misspelling is killing me, but, Patriot is big and heavy, requiring multiple vehicles to operate.
Yeah, stationary multi vehicles like the Patriot and NASAM ain’t realistic
the person who reported these “news” wasnt a drone operator but a competeting defense contractor
welp, i got news for you
