Panther II, as implemented, is completely fake. It’s a Frankenstein’s Monster of 5 separate projects:
- Panther II (obviously).
- Panther 88 (proposed after Panther II was cancelled and intended to go on regular Panther’s).
- NVD (Again, made after the Panther II was cancelled and only intended to go on regular Panther’s).
- Better engine (Same story as above two).
- Schmalturm (As above).
Again, who is saying the original Panther II has to be taken out of peoples hands? Just let them keep it, add this as a TT vehicle for everyone. Let time slowly remove the original Panther II from the game as those people stop playing.

The other guy was saying to change the older players panther 2 with the one suggested.
I keep saying it will annoy old loyal veteran players, your suggestion is perfect balance and i would love a tech tree panther 2.

Agreed, the only modification I’d suggest is renaming the older Panther II to differentiate it. Maybe something like Panther II mit 8,8 cm or something
Tbf, if it does come one day, I wouldn’t be surprised if it happens. That panther variant is fictional with many things that couldnt even fit in it. I think one and only one vehicle that got fully replaced so far was the CV90105 TML, which now is a CV90105 XC-8 featuring a whole new turret and overall system.

Is there a test for a panther by using a turbo engine?
Not sure but a test drive can be made.

Gaijin didn’t make the design though, it was a mistake by some old historian and the design has appeared in other tank games (WoTs Pather 2 for example) long before War Thunder.

Problem with implementing Panther II to game is that real Panther II was a upgrade to hull and basically all turrets and armaments that were considered for Panthers could be used (some would be more probable than others duh).
Btw GJ loves to make Frankenstein’s tanks.
WoT is a poor example, pretty much ever since day 1 they had unhistorical configurations. Guns, engines, turrets, etc vehicles never received. Look at WoT now, pretty much every recent vehicle has been fake.
WT, to its credit, tries to have realism. They just make bad decisions from time to time.

It’s just an example; and to be fair back when the Panther 2 was added to that game they at least tried to stick to official (or at least thought to be) blueprint designs or at least semi realistic proposals, the point was Gaijin didn’t make the design so naming it after themselves wouldn’t be correct either, it’d be more accurate to name it after the person who first made the mistake of combining the Pather 2 and Panther 88 projects together to create the current in game version of the tank, who as far as I know was a guy named Walter J Spielberger.

Do it with the Ho-ri (both variants) as well so Japan doesn’t lose it.
While you’re at it, the bob semple 37mm, P43 and P43 bis would all be nice.

Lol im already working on making the schmale blende. Then ill make the schmale Blendenausführung as well.
So ill have 2 (hopefully game ready) models. (Im a noob at 3D modelling)
