Panther II: King Panther (Schmale Blendenausführung)

For unfinished vehicles, the rules are clear: there must have been unique parts made for a prototype or similar for it to be proposed. An 8.8cm as found on the Tiger I and Tiger II is an off-the-shelf part and therefore does not count as unique, as example.
If anything (if I understand correctly in this case) there must be a unique turret, hull or gun built specifically for this proposed Panther variant + of course sources and ideally pictures to provide the necessary evidence.

@simsimkek
seems 88mm is a no go, however, i have reason to believe i can suggest a Gas Turbine Panther…

imagine that eh? hehe

I read about this. At the time there weren’t many sources pointing towards this but I’ll give this another look

allegedly a few 88 panther turrets were made at the end of ww2 sadly no sources about it can be found anymore

thing is at END of ww2. at that time the panther 2 project was long dead. the 88 turret was meant for the normal panthers to deal with the Pershing and super Pershing which started to to appear

so the equivalent to the panther 2 88 is the t43-100 both the t34-100 and the t43 existed but they were never meant to be combined and existed in different time frames (actually the panther 2 and t43 projects have so much in common its amazing)

This transmission has 7 gears forward, 1 reverse, not 8 and 4.

It should also be noted that, in case you wrote by mistake the name of the Panther’s transmission instead of the King Tiger’s (which does have 8 forward gears and 4 reverse gears), the real life Panther II has the normal Panther transmission.

A +1 from me! It would be nice to see the actual Panther II pop up in the TT. Funnily enough, I was just talking to a bunch of people about the Panther II as I was considering suggesting the Panther II G Turm that the US ended up creating.

Given that there are two turrets and three engines, it offers the ability to have two or three vehicles. Regardless of how it is introduced, I really want it! +1

I have no issued with the real Panther II being added. +1 for that. I don’t want the fake one, at least, until they are utterly out of vehicles and they start adding concepts.

i didnt play this game when the panther II was removed, and i would definitely grind for it if it was added. +1

With the GT 101 series actually being made, it’s very much eligible to be included in the Panther II. Unlike what some might try to claim it’s not a ‘paper engine’ in the slightest!

according to reputable and trustworthy sources, the engine was trialled in a certain panther variant as well as a JagdTiger. even though no images exist (that we know of) it can certainly be done

A regular Panther with an 1150hp gas turbine would be quite something. Though I imagine the reverse speed is no better.

In this model, we can see what the Schmale Blendenausführung would look like in 3D. the Hull isnt 100% accurate (missing the drivers periscope cover) but all in all, this is THE most perfect and accurate model ive come across
