What is be the point of having an NVD on a vehicle which cannot get into night battles? Besides of what Thodin wrote, the only thing it would cause is increase in RP and time needed for spading the vehicle, not to mention increased repair cost…

Yeah this.
I removed NVD from all my tanks before Gaijin did to reduce repair costs. It looks cool and would make a great premium, but it’s functionally pointless and offers no meaningful advantage.

Even for the in-game Panther II with the NVD modification selected off. You can get more gun depression in the front middle of the tank while also visually disguising yourself as a regular Panther F.
Unless night battles get added to lower tiers, it serves no purpose other than to look cool on tanks for aesthetics, honestly.

the whole vehicle is fake because the one in that image was just a mockup and didn’t actually work, IIRC
The night vision FG1250 ‘Sperber’ could be added to alot systems. Not just Panthers or Panther Gs. Its an addon mod. Sub-versions of that FG could be also mounted on guns like MG42 or Stg44 etc. You could make it work with every vehicle…

We can fix this by bringing night battles to lower tiers, make it so you opt OUT and instead of in, and they will be populated easily, and will allow uses for low tier NVD in something other than custom battles
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not against the idea of a premium Panther with this NVD. I’m just pointing out that having the NVD as a modification would be pointless. Better keep it as a pure cosmetic.
I can even imagine this vehicle as a part of a “Panther Pack” together with, let’s say, the “real” Panther II (the Pantherstein with Panther II hull and G turret)… :)

As far as I remember, night battles were not much popular at lower tiers. Not to mention that most of vehicles at about this BR don’t even have any NVD available. I really doubt Gaijin would bring night battles back…

Very few if any people are going to pay for a single panther where the only change is the addition of a useless night vision sight because the battle rating that never has night battles. Not to mention there’s already 5 in the regular tree being the Vk 3002(M), D, A, G, and F with 3 of them already on the same battle rating. I also need to point out there’s also the event Ersatz M10 and the now removed Flakpanzer 341, and Panther II for those who’ve been around a long while.
To get it to sell you might have to pack it in with other vehicles but more identical panthers is a bit pointless as the 6.0 battle rating is already over saturated with them, medium vehicles are definitely needed at tier III though so…
Id include it in with maybe the Panzer III Ausf. L Waffe 0725 (think better turret armored PzIV ausf H. with a fast firing squeeze bore cannon), and maybe the Vk3002(DB).

Would it be cool to see in-game? Sure, but yet again, what would I use it for? I would research it last, for the fact that it would have no purpose other than to look cool, as night battles only start popping up at 10.0, and even then, and in higher BRs, they are an absolute rarity. So yes, it would be cool for it to be added. Do I care if Gaijin does or doesn’t? No. But good luck with trying to get it added. :) And for all the people saying that it would be a good premium, that is the LAST THING GAIJIN needs to make more of. I can’t find it, but im pretty sure someone said that if its going to be a researchable mod, then everyone and their mom would equip it and use it if your going to make it a premium, then EVERYONE will likely be able to buy it and then EVERYONE and their mom can still access the NVD and use it

I don’t necessarily hate premiums but I do think that there are way to many, and most of the prems are p2w
