Panavia Tornado (UK versions) - Technical data and discussion

but so many days have past,no reply back to us, seems they simply don’t care it

Germans are going out of their way to try and get the PGM removed from the GR.4…If they cant one on the ASSTA and there is no evidence of the PGM every being trialed on a GR.4 They think it should be removed.

Got to love them

Just stop your hating. Nobody asked for the PGM to be removed, we were pointing out the double standards of Gaijin to give the Gr.4 the PGM because the GR.1 carried it. Same with the swedish Gripen getting AIM9Ms instead of AIM9L/I-1s because other Gripens carried the AIM9M while according to Gaijin other Tornado IDS variants cant get the PGM because there is only evidence of that singular Gr.1 carrying the PGM

PGM is a british developed weapon, developed by a british company, so tell me why should germany get it?
Carried by ZG706 which was used by the Strike Attack Operational Evaluation Unit to test systems and tactics for the GR.4, any questions?

As I said in the other thread that was how it came accross. Actively asking why the GR.4 should get a weapon it didnt use would only lead down one path and that would be the removal of the system.

Smin thankfully cleared it up. Despite the other objections

Because there is more than just Brimstone being added. Calm yourself down. You’re not a victim…

so many british tax have i see,so i doubt it

Alas it seems it’s just another placeholder, with the normal GBU-24/B Paveway III model this time. It doesn’t have the EPW III conduit modelled

Why do you think such a future will even come? Russia doesn’t have missiles like the Longbow or Brimstone, and their tanks lack multispectral smoke. So the likelihood of introducing A2G ARH weapons into the game is approximately zero.

Yes

But they do have a KH-38MA radar guided version, and probably other similar weapons.

I believe there also is a Grom version with a radar seeker

i just make a test … it seems that AGM65 arrive earlier than Brimstone when fired same place ,same speed ,same target…(17.5km)

Still WIP, lacks SPI interactions.

Any word on the pylon mounts for brimstone or are we sticking with only the belly mounts? An increase in magazine depth would be extremely helpful when launching 2 or so for that increased probability of kill that a single launch lacks.

There is a bug report about it: Community Bug Reporting System

But for now it will have 9, for balance reasons:

Shame :/ kind of disappointing getting so few

9 does seem low when they are not guaranteed to kill the target that could mean 2-3 per target. 2 kills per loadout is hardly competitive.

Yes I know it has the LGBs too

Yeah, considering they are so limited to begin with, limiting a second time round with belly stores only is tad annoying. But oh well, I’d probably always use it with fuel tanks or wing bombs/PGMs anyway.

still think they should just introduce it as generic IR fnf missles then, it isnt to far fetched compared to whatever they are doing now

its in my opinion sad they didnt even recognise the communities desire / question for this and just completly ignore any mention of it
