Anyone else finding that AIM120B on the Tornado is just incredibly weak right now?
Gaijin have made even low energy targets stalling out that would die to a Skyflash…Just chaff and spook the missiles?
The 120 used to be great but now they seem to just miss and we are seeing more kills with guns! The R-77 and Chinese missiles seem very hard to defeat

I’ve had this crazy sequence event in my head for a while if Torando IDS get air to air search radar.
Currently with helis, the gunner sight/tpod will lock onto the current radar lock.
So…
Lock onto an aircraft with radar > t-pod locks onto radar lock > fire brimstone
:D
Unlikely sequence of events, but in Bug Thunder… anything is possible

Definitely. It all depends on engagement parameters, the same way you can hit a plane with mavericks or hellfires.

I’ve heard from some people that the gr4 gets a hmd for its IR missiles, and i was just wondering if it was true since the f3 never did
From what I understand it does get an HMD but only for its ground ordnance.
GR4 has HMS, but it was never integrated with the AAMs, especially the ASRAAMs, much to the annoyance of the pilots who always thought it was stupid. It was meant for ground weapons only.
That being said. the HMD on the A-10C is suppose to be the same and only work for ground weapons, but does currently work for the Aim-9Ms. So its possible this is a game limiation and the GR4 would benefit from this game limiation as well.

I would not be at all surprised, or for them to say that the GR4 cant get HMS at all because it works for ground weapons only and they have yet to implement ground-only HMS to aircraft yet and it will come in the future
(Similar to how they denied the Gr7s MAWS after adding the F-111A with MAWS and then 5 months later, adding the F-111As MAWS onto the Gr7)
From what I can see it’s never actually been reported
the gr7 feels so advanced and unadvanced at the same time
