Its embarrassing how long it took me to realise the gr 4 got bol, i was making a new load out one day and thought i found a bug because i could mount a pod on the missile pylons lol. Good thing it didnt really effect it all that much as the bol and maws were honestly more than enough.
With the new fm ive grown to not like it as much as i thought i would, sure the extra turning is fantastic against those players who think your a free kill, however i could get better use out of the old fm. Due to its poor ability to lose speed i could retain my energy alot better allowing me to stall out the f14s and the odd 29, but now youll be lucky to even get a single turn in before your falling out the sky. Reminds me of the sea harrier where it just has FAR too much wing drag causing it to just fall like a stone if you try and turn with it. The extra 5% thrust is sorely needed but i dont think well be seeing it anytime soon as apparently it effects the fm of the jet (im not gonna question it as the entire code seems like an eldritch horror to me).
Hello. I made a suggestion to create and add ground mapping radar modes to airborne radars and I’m currently searching aircrafts that had such capability as producing radar imagery. I haven’t had any luck in finding this info on my own about the Tornado. Someone here has some info about its radar? Specially if it had surface mapping radar modes? It would a little strange to have a SRC mode that detects stationary and moving ships without any surface mapping modes.
At least you CAN notch now though. Missile jousting with F3 AOP before the change was basically impossible, if a missile was shot at you within ~20km you would be very lucky to survive it unless you could multipath.
After the updated fm killed any kind of speed advantage the Nados had I’d vote to give the F.3s we already have the mk106.
No one wants another f.3 late that’s at a too high br because it carries good missiles. If gaijin even considered adding this it would likely sit at 12.7 for “balance” because 9M. The jaguars and etendard got Phimat pods but not the nados.
Gaijin seem fine with artificially gimping British aircraft to some extent to fill what are always double stand balance rules, the gr1 is an amalgamation of different modifications never used on a singular aircraft and has a weaker engine for no reason apart to get you to grind the gr4. the FGR2 could easily get the 9L and stay at 12.0 which it will see su-33s.
I see no reason to go the other way and add the 106 to help the F.3 out. Again if the gr.1 can have weaker engines then it’s no issue doing the opposite for the F.3. Especially since the FM change was supposed to make it more realistic not less.
